With this cute little 3 year old, and his cute little brother, and a Grama and Grampa visit...boy do I have a lot to catch up on!
Friday night was going to be fathers and sons but it got canceled
because of the Helping Hands tornado clean up deal which Isaac went on.
He had taken stuff to spend the night but they came back by like 6
oclock and after he got cleaned up and we'd eaten we left Grama with
tired little Colt (who has no interest in napping if something might
possibly be going on) -he fell right asleep- and headed down to catch the
tail end of the Braves game. Cannon watched for a while but then just
plopped his head down on my lap, I figured he was worn out from playing
so hard, he felt a little warm too. Sunday, May 4th my little guy turned 3!
He was so excited he finally got to open his present I made him get all dressed in his church clothes first because I knew getting ready would be a battle after new toys were figured in.
We took cupcakes to his little nursery class but he really just
wanted to go to primary with me and for Sister Shields to be his teacher
because he was 3 now. (So cute, I might have to let him sneak in with
the sunbeams one of these days.) Anyway during sacrament meeting
when he started whining about just wanting to go home, because of how
he'd felt at the ball game the night before, we took advantage of Grama
and Grampa being here and sent them home with both boys after sacrament.
(Ahhhh church was so relaxing after that) Cannon came home and had a
3.5 or 4 hour nap! But we also got lots of birthday celebrating and fun
in.
We had the Elders over to share a little Spaghetti (Cannon's favorite) and cake with us. It was a fun day!
We looked so forward to Grama and Grampa coming, we had so much fun. Then they
had to go back. Oh the highs and lows. I learned when Grama and Ann came
to tell Cannon they "might not get here until ..." (the next morning)
but remembering Grama opening her arms and Cannon running into them last Thursday morning-is
the best! And the fun began. Grampa was a little worried that Colt
wouldn't go to them because it had been so long since they'd been around
him. But thank you facetime! Ease your worries Poppa this little boy
loves you too!
(Rest assured I'm still the favorite :) we kept filming him throwing a
fit then stopping immediately when I would pick him up. It was
hilarious, spoiled? Definitely.
Cannon wasn't quite up for the Bass Pro Shop hat photos instead he wanted Milk and a Silk
I was a little worried that Grampa who goes a hundred all of the time
(work, cows, Poppa Great, the garden, and so on) was going to be bored
out of his mind and I admit he got a fair amount of the Ensign (or maybe
two Ensigns) read while he was here but I think he only got super bored
one time.
He and Cannon played a lot of baseball and he and Colt worked on crawling...
We did Grama's mothers day present a little early:
Really I had the perfect pre mothers day ever! I got to spend time with my mom (and dad) AND my boys cooperated for family pictures. So fun.
I blinked and Monday AND Tuesday flew by and Wednesday morning we had to take Grama and Grampa back to the airport. :(
Really Monday I had a well check appt for Cannon and we found out he had a double ear infection. Poor little guy. And Tuesday was when I got my family pics :)
Wednesday, dropped them off at the airport and mostly I was sad, I'm such a baby but I just hate the distance! We tended Jeremy, and I did my first ever Facebook post??? I think it was the first time I've posted anything, who knows- I posted this on Grama's wall!
Thursday Preschool (Great turn out, maybe I wasn't prepared for all of them but oh well we had fun) and now its Friday, back to the grind. We are having dinner with some friends in our ward so that should be fun!
