We’ll somehow it’s Friday. I think we’ve had fun but currently we’re driving…again😩 and Isaac is being the tablet Nazi so…it’s miserable for everyone. Gee thanks.
Anyway…let’s see what the pictures hold. Oh Sunday I woke up with the sorest back, it to me forever to figure out why…and this pic was the culprit. We had another flat tire 2nd time in two days so we took it into Walmart cuz we have road hazard on them, then we were going to pic it up when we took Cann into his baseball teams little swim party-that all went great until we pulled into Walmart and it was flat to the ground again. So we had to buy new tires. And we had to run Isaac’s random errands with him while we waited for them to put the new ones on. The kids were crazy in the store so we stayed in the car for the next stop and Sethy wanted my hair…leaning back over the console is what did my back in.

Some new kicks for Father’s Day.

And we got caught in a wild

While we were mowing Monday we found the wild black raspberries we’re on

…but you only need to mow by them so many times.
Cann worked full counts and walked twice in his game but…he probably should’ve swig at this one. We did a little BP in the front yard but we probably ought to do some more. He is loving baseball though and I love that.

Ever since we made Colt a running shirt Seth has wanted one…so we put the old stained white one to use. Then just getting thing loaded up.

Oh and somehow we ended up with a neck injury,..he was eating mulberries off the ground while Cannon was pushing the other boys on the swing??? Anyway the rope tied to the swing got him…pretty rough.

We took off Tuesday night and made it to my cousins house Wednesday around noon. Oh we love the Meacham’s!!! It was so so so fun and good to see them. It reminded me a little bit of when they were in Memphis and we were in Mississippi-the boys just hit it off, then and now. It was a blast! Our little families match up pretty well! And Sarah has long been one of  my “oh I want to be a mom like her” people! She’s so great I love her!
So we played and played and it was a blast and Grama Nette came up and celebrated her birthday with us!! Yay!!!

The boys didn’t want to leave—look at that pool can ya blame them? But they begged to go back sometime…yeah-I think we should make that happen!
The plan was to then head to Boise then up to the family reunion in Washington but then Isaac had a pump job in Price so we headed for Huntington instead. Tanner said “it’s not fun here without grandma!” It’s definitely different. But we still got out the side by side and rode a little at the sewer ponds.

Today we hung out while the “real quick” pump job took all day. Ug. When he told me it was going to be a while we went to a park (no splash pad this year) and drove the side by side. Then the troops made their own concrete project “like dad”

I cleaned them up-kindof-once but he let them play in it again as we were loading up. So we’re traveling filthy. Oh well. And now we’re doing the all night thing again   Headed to the family reunion. Oh but Belle wouldn’t get in the carrier-no way no how! So we left her with some food and water and Cannon is an upset nervous wreck—but I really do think she’ll be fine. And Isaac called Jesse (just for Cannon) to see if he’d check on her. And I guess we are going to go back that way.
Oh and one more pic-these line the main drag in Huntington! I love them I think they are so pretty!

Oh and a funny thing Seth says right now is “kid patch, kid patch? Pwease, me peeing.” When he wants a sour patch kid for going pee. Maybe ya have to hear it but it’s pretty cute. But really 5 months later he still thinks he gets treats for peeing???? What the heck? But I do give in sometimes, not as often as he’d like though.
And on a not so cute note if anything doesn’t go his way it or the person is  “dumb” thanks older brothers 😏 I hate being “dumb mommy”
Oh well

We survived

We survived until Isaac came home! Yay!! I think he does more than he gets credit for πŸ˜‰
I have the best friends though-Emily had us over Saturday night and Michaila had us over Monday night and it was awesome, I need to be more thoughtful of others, being on the receiving end of such kindness I was like oh dang I don’t think it would have even crossed my mind!!
Anyway
Saturday we went back down to the little lake swimming hole in LaPlata. It was a huge turn out-like a ward party but with both wards. But it was hard hard hard I was just missing Riz. It’s sort of like it’s his little place down there, he’s how we found out about it, but he’s not here.

The kids had a blast though. Trains water friends win win win.

The best news of the day was Isaac called and told me he had received the email: HE GOT TENURE!!!!!

Such good news-I’m so glad we are not on the job hunt! Because if he hadn’t gotten it we would be, Ug that would be awful!
And that night we went to the Wagner’s it  was super fun!
Sunday…we survived

But I do have this pic

I realized (at girls night last week)  this is the first impression for  the student families who moved in last year🀣🀣
So we recreated it.
Monday everyone did their job chats so I would take them to hobby lobby then we went to the Pettit’s that afternoon and stayed until after bedtime FHE and everything—it was perfect!

And Really I wanted to go to Hobby Lobby to get some new flowers for Rizzy Roo. It was flag day and the 4th is coming up so we went with Red White and blue. We put them there Tuesday and I took the little push mower over Wed  so it looks a little better than this now.

What else?
Oh Wednesday we had friends out here. (Mulberries are on)
A little more baseball of course. Cann played up in Lancaster and Tan had a game here.

Yesterday we hit up beach Ottumwa with the Bryant’s —so dang fun!

When we were driving home Isaac called and told me there was a spot for me at the temple if I wanted to go. (A young man from out ward is going on a mission actually he’s the kid my boys used to call “that priesthood boy” when he was a deacon and they couldn’t remember his name -Jacob- how great of a compliment is that though??? )

We love Jacob-and all the Doman’s and know he will be a fantastic missionary!
It had been so long, since before I was ever pregnant and certainly not since Riz died  the temple just sounded like the BEST place to go. But finding a babysitter was pretty stressful. I don’t know anyone in Nauvoo right now I didn’t really want to make my kids drive 4 extra hours, driving 1.5 yesterday to beach ottumwa Tanner said “it feels like we’re driving to Utah!” And next week we really are driving to Washington state. Ug!
In the end I dumped them on Michaila and her little Sister took over as soon as she got home from basketball.
But the stress was worth it. So so so good to be in the temple!!
Bout it.

Baseball baseball baseball

Good thing I love baseball but really this is probably the best picture to describe the week
Just a little rest at the ball field.
Cannon got to pitch Saturday morning (first time ever and no walks!!! πŸ‘πŸ») so we had Cannons game and opening ceremonies.

Sunday I’ll skip on purpose and just say there is a LOT that Isaac deals with that I’m oblivious too-and thankful I’m oblivious. I ended up with one little peek at one really hard situation and I was like ahhhhhh

Then baseball MTWTh but they’re having fun and doing great (competition for Cannon is a little weak-the group of boys he calls “his friends” all play travel ball and aren’t doing kbsa anymore but oh well—I think Cannons enjoying being a big fish in a little pond and he’s just as happy as when he plays “his friends” so good enough)
So lots of baseball pics:
Must’ve been a hit—he was on base in the next picture

And Tan…My favorite thing (and I didn’t get a picture -this was the second weaker attempt) but anyways my favorite thing was Tanner diving for the ball! It went by the pitcher and he was playing shortstop and I yelled “get it Tanner” to him and he just laid out for it. It was awesome!!! I did not have a camera up for that one but he did do it for another ball later so here’s a couple little pics of it but you can see the other little teammate picking it up after but it was awesome —he’s a little bit instinctive on the diving and I love it. Now we just gotta come up with the ball πŸ˜‰

Monday we had the Hilton’s out, that was pretty fun.

Theses goofs love my hair!

It’s not always so rough watching baseball

When Riz was born the nurse told us about a swimming hole down in LaPlata so we checked it out with the Bryant’s this week—it was pretty fun, we plan on going back tomorrow πŸ‘πŸ»

Isaac was home a whopping 6 days and decided to take his pump truck to Emery County…so he headed back. And I was never cut out to be a single parent. Good thing I’m really not.  But I think it be will be good-and honestly I’m glad he’s there. I feel like the pump truck takes him away a lot that he doesn’t really realize—cuz he’s still right here, but I think being clear away he’ll feel it a little more. But hopefully he we have the successful side business -or whatever-he’s looking for and enjoys doing. Oh and he took his motorcycle too. Utah is just a funner place for that!

My goal today was: just  don’t yell at them
I failed.
I’ll try again tomorrow.
The boys had children and youth this week so it was a little bit of a run around Colt rode down with the Moody’s and I took Cann a little late after baseball. I had to include this pic though cuz it reminded me of what Cannon said. The activity was to toss a water balloon with a partner and then take a step back each toss-the boys got worked. But their leaders, the Pearson’s, got the last balloon and rocked it.

I loved it though because I heard Cann say “whoa talk about the power of marriage!” It was cute and awesome and I needed to hear him say something like that. Day one with Isaac gone was pretty rough 😏 the kid is full of sass and doesn’t like to do anything that’s not his idea. And nothing is ever good enough for him. As you can imagine that doesn’t work so well for me. There’s a reason I have a don’t yell goal.
And here’s today’s shenanigans. (Trying not to yell did help) and I was happy Cann got outside with his bros  inside reading all day is not good for him—or me!

Colt is LOVING the fact that I am paying for job charts and is super motivated to get his done. Cannons too busy being mad I make them save 1/2 (EVEN THOUGH I’m paying DOUBLE!!! What I think I should to accommodate that) so he hardly does his. And Tan…is just a little young to be motivated my money and I’m thankful for that.
Oh But my favorite thing I can think of him saying this week is “sorry mom, so much sorry” it’s just so cute the way he says it.
They’re good boys.
I love the heck out of them…(even if I need a break at the end of long days once in a while.) I’m a lucky mom!!
Tonight I took that break by putting them to bed (on time but no one when to sleep, I ended up buying Seth off with a piece of candy and the big boys with a tablet…Cannon was still up reading when everyone left 😳) anyway I “put them to bed” at 8:00 and had a little girls night over here. It was super fun!!! but it is super late!! I might have to have a nap tomorrow—worth it though!
