Stay’n Busy

Oh man last weekend seems like 6 weeks ago not 6 days but we headed for Nauvoo and had a great time. It was nice to have Grama there to babysit and with the Williams kids and Pettit kids there they played hard -instead of just being glued to the TV- it was nice. The temple was nice Stake conf was good
The boys got to touch the temple! A hug-a kiss- it had to be documented! A friend in the ward made a comment about letting the kids reverently respectfully touch the temple, I think the boys know it is special to us but I think it will be a good thing to implament to help make the trips over there just special and more temple focused for our kids too—even though they’re  young. I remember on the Special Witnesses video (I think that’s where it was but...) President Eyring talking about the first time he went in the temple and feeling a very familiar peaceful feeling “like he’d been there before” I think that’s cool and would love that for my boys.
And I love the one walking back with the temple in the background-I just wish Cannon wasn’t behind Isaac.

Fun at the Villas. We got together with the Vorkink’s Pettit’s and Williams between the leadership meeting and Adult session and ate dinner. It was fun.

And it looks like even Seth got in a little screen time! Ha! And Grama got to see Sister Gubler who she served in the temple with-pretty cool.

Monday we had to give Grama back-darn-but I know Grampa was happy to get her back! We’re so glad she came!

Seth does this cute thing where he growls back and forth with her and I’ll be darned if Grama didn’t get the first wave. Pretty cute! I videod it but I haven’t YouTubed it yet.
Then it was back to the grind just kindof doing what we do.

Where does he think he’s going?
And sometimes “what we do” is torture our brother with stickers

Wednesday Colt was saying “my mouth hurts will you look at it?” Over and over while we were driving home from school I assured him I would but not until we got home. But I looked in there and Dang! 2 new teeth even without losing the others. So Isaac had a tooth pull’n project that night. I think Colt thought he was going to get rich quick off the tooth fairy, he was pretty mad it was only $2. Sorry buddy-life’s rough-I was thinking more along the lines of at least the tooth fairy remembered to come!

Thursday was piano and that night we went and watched the girls we know from church play volleyball. It was a big game so we went as Tigers, pretty cute! We had fun. (And they won barely it was a good match)

Today Isaac and a few other guys from church snagged me Amanda’s piano. Oh and I didn’t crop that picture because I’ve been decorating a little... not done but I’m enjoying doing it

And then tonight Isaac was messing around with jacking up our floor because see how far away from the wall that piano is? It’s right up against the trim at the bottom...the trim is not that wide!!!!
Oh and speaking of Amanda we found out the Beals are moving into some friends ward in little valley—that’s cool.
Let’s see, what else??
Oh yeah school pictures but I don’t usually buy them, I’m just kinda partial to that shirt and tie look and I like to take my own pics of them on Sunday mornings. But they emailed me trying to get me to buy them so I snagged a screen shot. I guess Cannons teacher asked him if I knew he had his goggles on. Ha! I did suggest glasses instead but when he balked I thought I’m not buying them, I don’t care!

Man I feel like I’ve seen a lot of that bright yellow this post-I swear it’s not the only shirt he owns! ....but...maybe I wish he would’ve wore his glasses instead. Oh well. (I have a strict no goggles to church rule so see why I like Sunday pics better?)  They didn’t email me Colts but the did send it to Isaacs school email??? I thought that was weird.

But Tanners is the one I’m curious about. Oh that kid is something. I asked him if we should comb his hair for picture day and he looked at me and said “it’s not Sunday” then he wanted his hair sticking up on the side and in front and all around...I did my best to go with something he described and something I could live with then he looked in the mirror and said “I look like a King!” (Pronounced “ting”) it was hilarious-then he told me all the ways it was like a crown (aka King thing and all the ways it wasn’t. He told all the teachers at school about his king hair and best smile (“pile”) too. They’re we’re all just laughing shaking their heads when I picked him up...and then telling about trying to get him to smile without closing his eyes I just laughed.

Then just my cute little Seth with a twinkle in his eye! 7 months today. Dang! It goes fast.

Another week...

The third time was the charm on Grama taking the boys on the riverboat! It was fun-to do once-I wouldn’t rush back there but it was a good one time experience. One of the highlights was that we saw Tanners preschool teacher, so fun!

There was one other lady I recognized from Kirksville but can’t figure out where I know her from.
Anyway after that we slipped up to Quincy but after 1 store and 4 kids and we didn’t really anything Grama and I were like eh we’re good. We got fazollis and came home...oh and bribed the kids with a dollar that they quickly turned into a Hot Wheel to fall asleep on the drive.
When we got home Isaac was already gone to Nauvoo but he had left at some ridiculous hour (like 3:00am) or something with Brother Scillian and this is what they brought back:
“New” motorcycles. A Harley for dad and a 65 for Cannon

And it’s all I can do to refrain from putting the picture of Tanner peeing on dad’s new motorcycle here...well not on it but close.
So that was Saturday and naturally we had to ride it Sunday.

We ran a few of his church errands on it. The best part of Sunday was when Isaac crawled into bed and said “honey I’ve been thinking about your birthday...” This is huge! Isaac is not a gift guy, not at all, (too bad that’s very much my love language huh? But for him to say this I could have done a stink’n cartwheel (he thinks most holidays are stupid ways to get people to waste money) so for him to have been thinking about my birthday...it didn’t even matter that he followed it up with “...and I’ve got nuthin.” So true-he had no idea what to do which makes some other years make more sense. But we settled on getting me a vinyl cutting machine which I am very excited about —and trying to figure out exactly what I want— dang maybe I should hope he buys himself a motorcycle every year right before my birthday. Wait. NO. I did not say that!! Actually my friend said it best “Another motorcycle? How many does he need?” Ha yeah no kidding but the answer to that is going to different depending on who you ask!
Monday the Baker kids came over. Tuesday we...partied? Not really, my Mr. I’ve got nuthin put up siding outside the front door!!!! Wahoo!!!!

For more on that check the farmhouse blog.
Sethy loved playing in the window and the boys built a fort.

Anyway it was a good day! Grama and Grampa hooked me up with some chairs for the porch and a couple folding tables. Gramas plan had been a picnic table since the one we have is pretty gross but then she saw the goats up on it and was like “no way” but we went to lunch we went to Walmart...it is Kirksville after all...bought Pizza for dinner and went down to the church and played Volleyball with friends. All in all good day. Wednesday’s are busy with football and scouts but I dunno what else, we slipped down to lunch with Colt again Thursday. Bout it.

Some of the rest of the weeks shenanigans

Tanner wanted to ride the motorcycle to school he was so excited but once he got on he got scared and I took him to school.

But today he rode into work with Isaac for a mtg

Oh it was awful!!!  I think he’s to little and it’s not safe (riding 6 blocks from Truman was more acceptable to me) but my mom sent me a picture-fine-I thought they rode around the house. But then she said “they left” and I was like “They???? What the heck?!?!” She stayed with Seth and the plan was Tanner too while I grabbed the boys from school. But coming back from school there was a wreck on the bypass and I got rerouted, I couldn’t get ahold of him because he left his phone with Tanner and went to his meeting. Needless to say I imagined the worst and was so upset. Thankfully everyone was fine but I tried to explain to Isaac he just took at least 3 years off my life, he says “why?” Totally doesn’t get it. Sigh.
That was today’s worst news.
In other good news Tanner had a play date with the Moody’s and Cannon had football. Oh and the nicest thing happened today a random knock at the door and Sis Gilchrist brought me these sweet flowers!!!

So nice huh?
Oh and Cannon finally got to ride that new bike-he can start it himself he was pretty proud.

I don’t know what else but Nauvoo tomorrow and no end in sight with Seth tonight-man he hasn’t been sleeping very good lately! Oh well-I mean who really needs sleep anyway???? Wait. Me. I do!!!

The boys had a blast with the Bakers in Nauvoo!
The tended while we did a few sealings, then offered to keep our kids while we were tending for other parents at the ward session-and Stake women’s conference

Lucky for the magnifier to see Tan’s fish. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Then lately we’ve been stopping at the Drostes on our way home. The boys love that!! Poor animals. ๐Ÿ˜‚

They found Gramas roll brush and are convinced it’s best for doing the wave. I tell ya if it’s Sunday morning—I’m just happy they are combing their hair!

And would you expect a Sunday afternoon Ison family walk to look any different than this?

Of course not!
Monday we got to have Dax over-we love him. Then we went to see some ward members new mule...and the boys sat on the horses...but it’s not like my boys have never sat on a or pet a horse before. But it was nice of them nonetheless.

Tuesday we got Grama!!!! and we are loving having her here-and Isaacs been projecting๐Ÿ˜Š

Lunch with Colty at school-she missed grandparents day by one day-And I was in the doghouse for not telling her so she could change her flight...

I totally forgot about Entichment but had a great time playing catch with Cannon and since I’m never really going to makehomemade mozzarella...we’ll call it a win! Wednesday Cannons much anticipated sport goggles came.

Today we hit Cantril, I dunno we’ve been having fun but mostly just normal things.
The goats haven’t been too bad-except they crap everywhere and try to get in the car. Tonight we had the Jaggers over-great neighbors we love them. And tomorrow Isaac might go buy himself a motorcycle. WHAT?????
yeah stay tuned! If I would say no way-we wouldn’t do it, but I can’t get myself to say no way if he wants it...soooo we’ll see.
I think that’s about it...

Oh, Here's a funny story! Cannon didn't recognize our van because Isaac sprayed it off when he was projecting and Cann was looking for the dirty one!๐Ÿคฃ
And technically it was last week but Colt was Kirks kid ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป great job buddy!!
