I do the little videos at the bottom of the blog because I want to remember these kids cute little voices, but I also just want to be writing down all the things they say. I had the garbage bag up on the hood of the van and we were going down the driveway and I was just going to put it in the garbage can in the bottom but it slid off the hood, and Sissy was in her car seat and in the back and watched it then said,  “Uh- Oh, that not good” It was so cute and so funny… And so accurate.
And She’ll hate me for this someday but she’s also so funny when she’s sitting on the pot and needs to take care of business she’ll point out the door and say “Mama doe way!” …and I’m happy to leave!
Anyway there’s lots but those were just two recent ones. So let’s see. We thought we bought a boat, then maybe not, oh the guy just had Isaac’s auction number wrong…I don’t but eventually they didn’t get it figured out and the next project boat is quite an upgrade! I saw the pictures online and honestly I wasn’t impressed-you’re going to have a tough time beating a free boat for me though right? πŸ˜‰ just kidding. But put these two cuties in front of it and I’m totally impressed. Let’s go!

Cannon was the one constantly nagging his dad about a new boat (he wasn’t thrilled that it’s still a project but I dunno I think he’s still excited) anyway he decided it wasn’t worth missing school and football so he didn’t want to drive to Georgia to get it, but Tan was game for the one on one time with dad which I think was cute. Last time Tan went they flew to Vegas and drove the truck back so not sure how he’s feeling about things having to drive both ways. They’re on their way back now.
Last week soccer got lightening’d out. We were kinda hoping the service project would have tooπŸ˜‚ but it didn’t. It was an Elders quorum thing but since we no longer had anything else all of went-except Cann who pitched a fit. At some point I took his phone away (just until he did what he’d been asked to do -I can’t remember what- but sometimes he needs some help pulling his head out of it) but he continued with the attitude until Isaac told him to knock it off or he’d lose it for a week. He was unrelenting until he’d crossed the line. So Isaac sent him in the house and he hasn’t had a phone all week. I tried to just have a good attitude at the service project but honestly there were times when I would’ve happily turned my phone in for the week if I could’ve got out of there. πŸ˜‚ …I mean…maybe we know where Cann got his attitude from…Yikes! But I chose to go. It was just a yard cleanup project but…anyway. Isaac loaded up the tractor and took it to it. I was standing by Bishop Williams (who spent over an hour trying to save a tree -not his idea-that was just a sucker tree! -I think that’s what they’re called, The ones that just kind of come up on their own-) but he looked up from his shovel over at Isaac brush hog’n (only here they call it bush-hog’s) and said “this is exactly why there was an Industrial Revolution.” πŸ˜‚ True. But if we’re looking for silver lining I was so deep in ragweed that it kinda seems to have overwhelmed my awful fall allergies-it was bad but I haven’t had any trouble since.
Crazy. But I’ll take it!
That evening Isaac and the younger kids got the grass seed planted out back.

Oh and Addi decided to share some cheese with her baby doll. Along with figuring out the climbing wall—
I stayed up way to late listening the BYU game on BYU Radio. I was going to quit at half time but just before that was when it started getting good!
I keep trying to convince Cann footballs not that important in the big scheme of things, but non the less my football world is off to a great start. Chiefs Utes Cougs Kirksville High…all unbeaten!!! —hopefully I don’t jinx anyone.
On Monday she tried the climbing wall…and could mostly do it.

This pic fell off the wall because those darn 3m Velcro strips don’t last as long as I think they should (forever) but Addi kept holding it up and saying “Say Hi to Jesus mom!” So dang cute.

And it’s just a pic of the back of their heads but…when the birds eat his seed…see ya later!

Then he felt bad and talked about eating it…go ahead but I wasn’t fix’n it!
Tuesday
Colt had soccer practice
Tan’s soccer got turned into a make up game.
Cannon had football in Mexico and Seth just really wanted to rollerblade at the park!

Colts was just a practice but this reminded me to find a pic from last week.

I was a little nervous about not going to football but it just isn’t really feasible…I mean we could have pulled it off but that’s a lot of driving and super late but…they hadn’t scored a touchdown on offense, Cann had been targeted a couple times but no catches, and we we stayed…but Cann did get a catch! He had a sweet 19 yard reception! My friend sent me the video…the only thing you can really see is that the chains move! But then Cann found me the game film clip too so—I’ll put both in the weekly video!

And they did win so now they’re 1-1-1
Sis and I playing hide and seek at the cemetery!

And maybe food tastes better if you don’t have to see it?

My project loving husband! Opposites attract! Actually we recaulked the kids tub on my initiate this week. He help me but I was cuss’n it the whole time. I just hate projects.
But Isaac doesn’t and he decided to take the sliding glass door upstairs out. We bought a new one for it right after we bought the house but then he had me cancel it…like we didn’t want it if we ended up doing a garage out that way….
Well…6 years later we’re still talking about that garage. So he decided to take that nasty old broken sliding glass door out. When he pulled the curtain down it was so light in there I loved it—I’m fine with the plan I just thought-dang we should have replaced it and then enjoyed the light up there all these years. Oh well.
And really he just tore into it with out cleaning up (or having the kids clean up) a single Lego or toy…🀯🀯🀯
Thats their play zone and I only clean it up every once in a while…because as soon as I do they head back up and in 15 seconds it just looks the same.
But there’s was a lot of crud everywhere to trip on. Yikes.

When I came back from taking the boys to  YM/children & youth we had this much left. (And moths coming in like crazy🀒)
Thankfully Seth had put himself to bed. We got it done but it was definitely a later than usual Wednesday night. 😩 Yesterday we planted some more tulips in front of the house because I thought there was room for lots more when I saw them bloom out last year. We also planted a few daffodils cuz Seth wanted something yellow. I  had a few extras so we took them to the cemetery.
Seth had the dentist today, (We just went with their earliest available appts but it was right at nap time.😩)
Colt didn’t want to go get the boat because they were having caramel apples at school today, but it turned out lame and the caramel didn’t melt so they were kindof a bust. So when we were driving home, he asked if we could make some. It was a good night  to try it so… We had a little project!

Cannon got to go to the away varsity football game with the Eitel’s. So he’ll be late. Isaac and Tan should be home around midnight. They’ve been in so much rain! I don’t know if it was because of the Hurricane (Helene) or what but they’ve been in rain pretty much the whole time.
But I think that’s the wrap!

If you think Isaac and I left the kids with Grama and took off skiing last Saturday…you’d be right! The water was a little chilly but as soon as I got up I was glad we went! I  told Isaac it was his last chance to take me skiing while I was 42, but that was a lie—we had so much fun we did the same thing Monday-but we took Colt with us too! Addi made both trips but Thanks Grama for tending!! I’ll get to the pics
But first-soccer season is here!
Tan hoped he wouldn’t have to play goalie but first game first half-dang.
He did pretty good though.

There was one time a kid had a breakaway so I turned my camera to video and I thought this is either gonna be good or it’s gonna be bad… It was bad… but I know the other teams coach from one of the years that I coach soccer so I sent him a little highlight clip. πŸ˜‰ Then deleted it!
He also scored two goals! I think this pic is one of them about to happen…let’s go with it.

These two best soccer fans…and their cleats to the park…I dunno but look at those grins, that’s why I go with that too!

Pic of Colt isn’t great, hopefully, I have a better one on my camera, But this did turn into a really nice assist for him!

We decided if we were going to have a handrail and needed to be a little higher— Not Grampa’s fault we gave him the project (basically) an hour  before he had to leave for the airport—
But I decided to raise it…
It’s not pretty
But either Isaac can fix it or Grampa can another trip πŸ˜‚

And about that lake trip!
Taking pictures while I drive the boat is a little tricky, but I like pictures!
Actually, because it was Saturday, we did have to deal with other boats, which was  kind of annoying because we’re so spoiled and usually have a place to ourselves! One of the times I just let go because I was tired of dealing with all the waves the other boat had made and so I was just talking to Isaac as he circle back around and we kind of made a game plan as far as where we wanted to go in the water, but Sis  leaned out over the front of the boat and said “dood job mom” it was so cute. It was one of the best parts of our trip!

Sunday Colton went to Moberly with Isaac and was his speaking companion. Isaac said Colt did great!
Tan pulled out his own tooth. Sis is just sis—dressed for church and found Cannons hat.

A great day for a family bike ride.

And they decided to start all the motorcycles just cuz it had been a while.

Scripture power-she’s digg’n them lately. She always wants to “mark” them and she’ll just say “mom read mom read…Jesus loves me” but it sounds more like “Gee gee yuv me” it’s pretty cute.
Another tree bites the dust…no tree is safe around here but actually he took this down and drug it over to where he could burn it in a matter of minutes, it was pretty impressive. Addi and I watched from the swing.

Upgraded my picture of Jesus and President Nelson’s quote about joy on my wall.

This was the Monday trip, the weathers was warm Grama was here to tend-we’re out!

Sis teaching  Grama how to ski!

And Grama teaching Sis how to clean the bathroom…maybe it’ll stick, I mean, she taught me but…

Remember how I said I never by sports pics. I don’t but Cannon wanted these…I was wavering a bit just cuz he plays the later game so I don’t have good light to try and get an action pic. But I maintain they are a rip off…and my friend text me—she was buying a digital package but there were only 3 pics with her kid in them and the smallest package was 5 so she asked if I wanted Cann’s. Sweet! I did try to pitch in on them but she wouldn’t go for it. Cann was pretty pumped. He didn’t like the laces on the one with the ball but the other one is his screen saver.

And I was like oh sweet here’s these pics…can I not feel guilty about not traveling to Hannibal to watch you guys lose 42-0. I do feel bad but actually not going was so nice there’s a chance I do it again this week!

Once again Grama tended and Isaac and I went on a birthday date, that wasn’t skiing. I’m his old lady. πŸ˜‰ But it was a good birthday with lots of well wishes.

Grama said goodbyes Tuesday night and hit the road early Wednesday morning.

And the kids are trying to figure out like without constant treats and Grama’s phone while I’m trying to figure out how to get the dishes to start doing themselves again. πŸ˜‰

Cuties.

And the lake again tonight!

The younger kids played and played at the little beach spot we found. They loved it—too bad we didn’t to that sooner except… Now that I’m typing this, maybe that was the problem…

But first—that’s Colt up on the slalom ski!!!!  He got up on Monday, but his back foot wasn’t in -so it was really just long enough to tip over and he hurt his knee a little too but today he was determined to get up and stay up! He did great!!!

Anyway, when we would go back-and-forth to the beach spot, to check on the kids or switch older (tending) kids we would move the motor up and then back down, but maybe we burned out a fuse? We don’t know, but there was no going up with it when we were pulling out of the lake so a bit of a disaster but thankfully we had a strap in the back of the truck That usually holds the tube down for us, but  Isaac was able to rig it up.

And maybe he bought a boat today🀷‍♀️

Supposedly is worth way more than he paid for it (when he gets it all fixed out) it’s a nicer boat (I mean 25 years newer you’d think it was…but still a project boat.
Would you expect anything different?
