Since the teething phase we kind of kissed sleeping through the night goodbye. Thankfully we've made again a couple times, but mostly not, its crazy how much that make a difference in a day! One night I was just up holding him thinking I wish I was asleep, but then I thought Na, I live for little moments like this. I love it, but I love it when he sleeps too, yea for some rest.
Halloween was fun, we had the cutest little lion but not the happiest little lion, he'd napped good but it was just one of those days where our poor little guy needed more rest. We had fun though. (And I got some dang cute pics from the ward carnival that I added to that weeks post. )Isaac said maybe next year I'd need to dress up. GEE THANKS. Really I thought he said "we" and I said "What are we going to be? This year you could have been a scarecrow and I could have been Dorothy..." He looked over at me like I was crazy and said "I said 'you'" So apparently if I'm planning coordinating costumes they're just for Cannon and I. I vote just Cann man dresses up.
Tuesday, was highlighted by getting to visit with my fun sister in law, Sabrina -she's great- and a Pedicure...nice. My idea of a pedicure is dig out the nail polish bin from under the sink and see what I can come up with. But my Great Uncle Will (we like to call him a Great Great Uncle, for Cannon's sake) anyway when I had Little Guy Will and Elizabeth gave me a gift certificate to Red Mountain Spa, it was fun. I was so out of my league! A nice place to be every once in a while :) I walk in in my dingy old flip flops and its all fancy and they peaceful music is playing, it was great. I just chatted with the girl cuz really..."luxury" magazine-just not my thing. But it was pretty sweet. (And I surprised myself a little by how excited I was for it too.) Wednesday Thunder camp started and Isaac and Cann Man went over to visit Uncle Coy and Georgette, Thursday Court and Trey tended for me during camp and I think all 3 of them had fun. Cann loved Trey, I'm sure they'll be buddies. When Isaac got home from work he worked on fence stuff for my grandpa until we got back, he's so nice! Friday we had a little date to the Ward Holiday Social thing, it was fun and I was ridiculously excited about not having to decide what to fix for dinner. Saturday was more Thunder camp and between Becky, Trey, and my basketball players Cannon got attention galore, and he ate it up! He was so cute and fun for everybody and I just did my thing coach'n the little kids. He played and played and they loved him! I'd look around and a different player would have him every time I looked, then he had a little nap in Courts lap-cute- I kept wishing I'd had the diaper bag camera out but I probably over document things as it is. We wrapped up the day with a little tutoring and short visit at Grandma Frei's. Isaac went out on his motorcycle with Ky and Phillip. Ky always asks me if Isaac has fun? I don't know-I guess so- he was so tired he just slept in the chair. Once he woke up and showered he was more like himself. Our "date" that night was we ate a pomegranate together, little piece by little piece. It was simple random and fun. (We looked up some random facts about pomegranates while we were at it too.) It reminded me of when we were dating, that's always good, we laughed a lot. Of course there's more but this is getting long and I still have a mess to clean up in the kitchen so I'm out.

ROAR!...oh and a tooth!

We're play'n hard these days and loving every minute of it. Cannon LOVED feeding Burton's goats with Ann this week. He'd just stare at them, then chuckle. It was pretty cute.
Another week...
So for a $7 belt the washer seems to be working and he started to tell me something about super glue? Eh, lets just go with its working for now. (Except when I came home from tending Ann and it was STILL on the rinse cycle hmmm whatever) anyway Tuesday we went with Grama to her wards Terrific Tuesday. We made meals in jars, our own laundry soap, and a cool picture of the temple. It seems like I never go to my own RS activities but its just the way the cards fell with open gym this week and it was fun. Wednesday it was worth it to me to ditch open gym (not the best example for basketball I know, but I felt like just this once before the season starts would be okay and family first right?) but anyway I wanted to go with my little Lion to the ward activity, that would have sucked if he'd just went with his dad...and he might not have even dressed him up.


One (of millions) of the things I love about my mom is if I dream something up, like I think I can do it, she really can! Its great!!! I thought I could have made him a pretty cute little Lion...but not as cute as Grama can! We'll get more and better pics on Halloween but the Carnival was pretty fun. I've thought Halloween was dumb for as long as I can remember but...kids make it fun!
That was Wednesday by Thursday I was pretty sure I could feel a tooth and Friday I was Positive! We've got a sharp tooth little Lion! I tooks pics but I might as well wait a little while until you don't have to use a microscope to see it. The rest of the week was regular (for us) old stuff. We locked ourselves out, then Isaac locked us out of our bathroom-must run in the family. We went to Bri's birthday shin dig~total Chaos~but a good to see everybody, Isaac missed it because he got into more of a rock project than he bargained for, estimating how much time things will take isn't exactly his strong point, but the yard is looking good and he missed a lot of chaos so maybe its a win win :). That might be about it.

Ya see, not anyone could get down on the Delta Center floor after a Jazz game but Isaac can, and he gave Jerry Sloan a hug and snagged Matt Harpring's "water" bottle. (Whatever that crud is NOT water.) Anyway I'm not sure whether they both happened after the same game or not...At any rate I LOVED Matt Harpring, he was my favorite Jazz man and just my kind of player! Hard nosed, not ugly, pretty good shooter from 15-16 feet...and so on. So when Isaac told me when we were dating that he had his water bottle I was pretty impressed (although I might have been expecting something a little different...) 22 months of marriage later + the 11 months of dating +however long he had it before that...it'd been on the shelf in the coat closet a little too long! Even if it did help win me over (looking at that picture, that is a gross thought) but he has me now:) ...and its not there any more & I hope he's not offended...

Live'n the Dream

Blake came to town Monday night, Isaac has been so excited for him to come and it was good to see him. We had a great time visiting and catching up, the only thing that would have been better is if Annie and Ayla could have come too. He asked if I liked being home, yes a ton! I am totally live'n the dream. I was so glad he asked because it reminded me to tell Isaac thanks for letting me, encouraging me, whatever ya want to call it but live the dream of being home with Cannon. He is definitely my favorite part, but another thing I love love love is seeing the sunshine. Especially as basketball hits I just remember so SO many days going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark so I love getting to see the sunshine! The bad news from Monday is our washer broke. Bummer. Isaac's thinking he can fix it, he might as well try before we buy a new one (new as working probably Craigslist but working and clean are really all I care about- whatever-anyway). Wednesday while Isaac went to scouts I went to our friends house and they hooked us up with some dang cute hand-me-downs for Cannon. They are darling and fun. Thursday Ky and Kami had us over for dinner then he and Isaac went out on there motorcycles. I think they both had fun but especially Kyler, the went up the General Steam road clear to the ranch. Kami tended both kids while I went to basketball. We hung out with Grama and made Halloween cookies on Friday and Isaac went camping with the scouts. Saturday we went to the Gubler's Pumpkinfest. It was so fun. I really do love our neighborhood. I resisted on documenting it...until Isaac started carving pumpkins with the Stout kids, it was too cute so I snuck home and grabbed the camera:

Cannon updates, he's so close to sitting up, in fact with a slight incline (like from the stroller seat) he can make it especially if there's something enticing~like Ann's hair. Check out the new double stroller we call it "the Cadillac"
He loves to drink out of cups and water bottles and chew on his silkies~especially with his thumb wrapped up in them. Silly Kid.

Look how cute our future missionary is :) Uncle Shawn will be so proud, we'll definitely have to print this one up for him.

Oh Sunday was a good day. Why would you eat cereal when dad will feed you Cool Whip? Cannon is getting to try all kinds of goodies, a gram cracker at Grama's, and frozen fruit in his little anti-chocking devise. It's pretty fun. Monday seems like a distant memory, Cannon and I made cookies, for FHE we had a family shin dig for Lydia, Grama, and Klint's B-day's. I missed it cuz I was at basketball but the report was Cannon was super cute. I can believe that!

Tuesday I got my hair done, I'm addicted to that, I feel like the right person when I see myself in the mirror. Kathryn loved Cann Man too. It was Super fun. We were getting home pretty late and Anna had invited us to her setting apart so we met Isaac at the stake center, he threw in a skirt for me and some sandals (very green sandals and the shirt I was wearing was blue but...oh well) I visit taught with Anna and helped her work on her reading and Isaac home teaches her family. It was a neat thing to go to, I'm glad we went.
Wed we borrowed Coach Cannon's bike trailer thing, so we don't have adventures to report...but we will! Thursday-no Ann because it was fall break, so I was super wifey and patched a pair of Isaac's pants, and who knows what else but that's a rare enough thing it warrants documentation.
Friday was a crazy day. I went down to SUECon (Southern Utah Education Conference) it was awesome, but that morning getting everything loaded up and taking Cannon to my moms, yikes, I just came away so totally 100% grateful that I didn't go back to work. I just love being home with Cannon and there's something nice about knowing your in the right place. Oh on that note I was visiting briefly with the assistant superintendent while I was there and I said oh no, I'm not teaching anymore. And he said "That is disappointing." I thought it was a little ironic that the first person to not be supportive of me staying home is a stake president...really I think he meant it as a compliment like hey we lost a good teacher (is that so egotistic of me? Yikes oh well) anyway he's a good guy I like him. I did mention that I had applied for the online school and didn't even get an interview. Just to get my dig in that I was super surprised by that and thought it was ridiculous. He looked a little shocked and I thought...EXACTLY, I'm not crazy! But I am really happy that I haven't had to worry about that too, so ridiculous or not, I'm thankful. Anyway back to the conference, it was a blast, I saw so many friends, teachers, old coaches and colleagues there, even my friend Jill's mom and Uncle Coy. I went to a workshop on Photoshop (cuz really-who needs formative assessments if I'm not teaching?) and it was super cool -even though we don't even have photoshop-I loved learning all the tricks, or a few of the tricks that I probably won't remember, but anyway. The teacher was Nathan Smith, I kept thinking that name looked familiar but then I decided No its just cuz I had a student named that (and I did) but it was Mr. Smith from 4th grade. He wasn't my teacher but the teachers would rotate classes in the the afternoons sometimes and he was the one to teach us art (so of course we all loved him) I remember him telling us "Everybody can draw, they just have to think they can" and teaching how to draw a circle "you can't try very hard you just have to keep your arm loose"-he might have been the one to show me the shoelace trick for circle too- But 20 years later he's still totally the same. Super nice, super patient, he just does his art on the computer these days. It was fun.
Friday night I went with the missionaries to visit a family in our ward. Since I didn't serve a mission its such a new experience for me, it helps me realize all of the knowledge I take for granted, but its pretty cool when the spirit is so strong its electric and you know they feel it and you can see in there faces that they're not quite sure but they know they feel something!
Saturday was ward temple night, so we'd planned to go all week, then our neighbors came over and offered us free tickets to motocross. So we made both work. We went to the temple early and just did sealings (Elder Yardley from Panguitch was our sealer, he is so awesome it was so fun definitely the perfect start to our Saturday night.) Then headed to Vegas. I've seen enough motorcycles to last me a lifetime (ha ha this must be how a lot of wives feel about sports) but it was so fun, one of the best dates we've ever been on just because of how much Isaac liked it and how excited he was. (I confess to texting during portions of it) but we had a good time. Walking into that stadium and seeing motorcycles jumping all over the place so it looked like popcorn was pretty impressive, and I think I really can hear the difference between a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke-impressive right? I'm learning. Cannon was cheese'n it up making all kind of friends but it did get pretty late. We were going to stay at Mark and Gingers but decided to come home last minute Cannon slept pretty good but it got DANG LATE for me :)

Monday Grama was there to help so we took Ann up to Burton's to feed the goats. It was pretty fun. We had to hit the park while we were up that far. Tuesday was 5 Months for Cannon, I feel like that one kind of snuck up on me. Definitely the best 5 months. I love this little guy! He loves his little Door way jumper and his favorite toys are books and my water bottles (preferably with a little ice in them)

At Walmart this week he was giving the cashier a big cheesy grin and she said "Is he always this happy?" Well, no, but most of the time!
We were pretty productive in terms of Laundry, Vacuuming, Dishes, Open Gym Soccer just the usual.
Wednesday was pretty cold and raining we weren't near as productive, Cannon was a little whiny but I just kept holding him and thinking "You'll never get another chance to live this moment...and there's nothing I rather be doing"
Saturday we had a block "serve us" breakfast in celebration of the world wide day of service. It was fun I should've taken some pics. Then for our stake's service day we planted trees. It was a great turnout from the whole community~not just ward members. Here are the neighbors planting the tree.

Isaac worked all day on landscaping our front yard. It looks good, I need to take a picture but I haven't yet.

That's about it I think, conference seemed to emphasize the Book of Mormon a little extra this time so I've been trying to do a little better making sure I read to Cannon. I definitely want him to develop a love of the scriptures. Like usual there's a ton more but I'll wrap it up with this much :) here's just a few from the week.
