Oh dang its been a busy week. I forgot Isaac was under the weather earlier in the week until I saw this picture on my phone. I had said "Go ahead and go lay down." to which he replied he didn't need too. The only reason I took this picture is because it was 30 seconds -tops- later.

Saturday we tried to go for a bike ride with the Jarvis' in the morning and it was good to visit but freezing! Sunday the boys got into their piggy banks. They were glued on, I asked how they got them off and Cannon smirked and said "Tools, Santa knows how to help us out." He's really into counting change. They've been learning about it at school he comes home singing little rhymes "Penny Penny easily spent, copper and brown and worth one cent!" I think its pretty cute. BUT Tanner puts everything in his mouth--this guy is a constant choking hazard! Its exhausting. So I've nagged pretty hard about picking their money up...and I confess I blew a gasket the day I pulled a penny out of Tanner mouth. Holy Cow. The piggy banks are now up in my closet. They were in their closet but now with a little help of the kitchen stool Cannon can reach everything I have on the shelf in their closet...great.
Back to Sunday though...somebody's gotta wake Cannon up from Sunday afternoon naps so he doesn't sleep to long. (I feel like we're still adjusting to 11:00 church.) I let Tan Tan be the bad guy--I think he liked it.

Once the tools were out Sunday they had to overhaul (ok just tighten) the chairs.
Monday Colt finally got to do his science project clock that Grandma and Grandpa Ison gave him, he was pretty pumped. And Monday the boys finally got to spend (waste) a couple of their dollars they got in their Christmas sock from Grama. They'd had that dang money out counting it, they would've spent it all...

Sometimes I get annoyed and think its such a waste (it is) but those smiles are worth something!
Then there's my smiley little Tan Man. He's finally picking up little peices of food, so its not all pureed baby food. He loves to throw things and laugh about it. Sometimes he'll chase them too, and he might be my little ball player. He LOVES to play with balls...and so far its seems he has a pretty good arm from all the practice of throwing things. He's work'n on some teeth again, or still, who knows? I tried to take a picture of his one little fang tooth that's poking through but no luck, I'm sure we'll end up with one soon enough. Sometimes we call him "Tanner the Terrible Teether" but with a smile like this do you believe it?

And my little Colt Man. He's a cutie, and he's been saying the sweetest prayers lately-oh I just want to film them. There are definitely some good things. And...Oh boy. 3, 3 is a rough age around here, I remember some of this with Cannon, I really do, but with Colt you add in just a TON more emotion. Oh the melt downs. Have mercy!!!! I'm so tired of them and the whining. (Oh side note, my stress class is really really good for me. No solutions yet but when I hear the whining I think THIS, THIS is a STRESSOR! ...I filled out this perceived stress assessment thing, it asked things like "In the last month how often have you been upset because of things that happened unexpectedly? Or anger by things that were not with in your control? I picked "Very Often" and thought do these people have children???? But its been very insightful. After the third time of asking them to get their shoes -or whatever- I get mad, so it a stressor for me but I also see how Isaac doesn't get mad-so its not a stressor for him. Interesting. He wins. So mostly recently I've been reading out the physiology and today when the Colt's fit lasted the entire drive down to get Cannon I thought fight or flight? pituitary gland? Increase whatever hormone...is there a fire hose pouring it into me with every ridiculous wail??....sigh...I don't know...Its good to recognize things though like when Cannon had a meltdown because I put his pancake in the wrong spot on his plate. When the meltdown starts in him, the fire hose starts in me, one little thing-no big deal, its the piles of those little things that do me in! ...So I blog for therapy right?...) Ok that little side note took a while. Hopefully as I go throughout the course I'll find answers instead of just recognizing things. So back to ole Colt, he's totally into picking what he wears. Shorts over pants, mismatched footwear, new dollar store handgun to top it off. And he is always trying to make some kind of deal to get his way. Serious negotiating skills. I'm learning to drive a hard bargain so I don't get worked!

Wednesday I went to Activity Days, Thursday Isaac had dinner with a candidate that was in town so the boys and I headed to Relief Society. The theme was "Curing Winter Blues" or something like that, to be honest I thought it sounded dumb but went to be supportive. But I was completely wrong, it was AWESOME. I was so glad I went. The little party favor was some blue bath salts to relax with, the boys were pumped to try them. They are too big to tub together but I wasn't going for blue bath salts and bubbles 2 different times so we went for it. They smelled like grapefruit. HAHA
And TanO's just trying to be like the big boys with is sippy cup. Wait Big? Boys and sippy cups...that doesn't sound quite right, but its how we roll around here.
Lastly...or almost lastly, you know I'm a mom of boys when we have a lesson/demonstration on how to chest bump. HA! But Cannon's friends had taught him at school and....lets just say it wasn't close. So we watched a couple videos. Explained its not a hop hop hop belly bump and that yes sometimes its more of a shoulder into a chest thing, and to run and jump as high as you can, and get your arms out of the way, oh and turn your head too bud. So many details. Sheesh...maybe we really do need a TV so our poor kid can figure out the pumped up celebration...maybe not, youtube worked just fine. Oh I got our 2016 blog book Monday. It was folded up in our mailbox (I always get softcover just cuz its cheaper and then they're all the same and so on) but folded. Cover crinkled, inside of it dirty, oh I was furious, but when I emailed them they said "we're sorry we'll send you a new one" so that turned out well, I just hope they are a bit smarter about packing it up this time.
I think that's it.
