I don't know when I got out of the habit of blogging a little along the way, but boy-lately I get to Friday and I don't have anything and don't think I can remember much. Grampa and Isaac worked their tails off at the house last Saturday. I took Cannon to baseball practice but that is honestly the ONLY thing I can remember. Sunday was highlighted by a little fake birthday party for Cannon. The way it has been working out we have been in Utah pretty close to Colts birthday multiple times so we typically find ourselves celebrating early. Well...since Grama AND Grampa were had to follow suit. Cannon ate it up. Tanner has been so cute singing Happy Birthday Cannon ever since. Hopefully I'll get a video next week. Colt helped pick out Cannon's presents and cashed in on some "farm boots" of his own.
It was a fake birthday anyway so candles for everyone? You bet. How bout Cannon cutting pieces of cake right out of the middle of it...Oh well. Oh and the little stinkers were calling my pitchers mound and emoji poo. Cannon shouted "Who wants the emoji poo piece?" It was a MOUND man come on! I guess a mound of poo in little boy eyes-they thought they were pretty funny. And of course Cannon cashed in on some birthday spank'ns...

Grampa is the hardest worker I know! He worked the whole time he was here but these boys didn't let him off the hook with playing tickle monster. Sunday was a good day of "rest" for that, right?
Monday we had to give grampa back, bummer. But if we can make any progress on this dang house he'll come back. YAY.
And this week we had crazy hair. This day Colt wouldn't play duck duck goose at school because he didn't want to mess his up. HAHA. But he came home and washed it our immediately. Silly kid. And he's decided sidewalk chalk is most fun to hammer in to pictures. .

And we've finally had some good weather! So we busted out those Easter kites. (So now they've at least got to fly them--once--but I can chuck them now, right?...lost in the move?? I'm terrible. But they just feel like, stuff, stuff that gets piled in the garage and makes messes.)

A few last snuggles with Grama before she headed out. :( We just wish it were closer. But we know we're very blessed with technology and video calling and that they come as much as they do, living so far away stinks but we sure have a lot to be thankful for!

After Grama hit the road Thursday I started working on some family reunion shirts for our friends (the are SO cute and fun...picture pending-maybe) such a good outlet for me to work on something I feel like I have control over. Tanner was playing quietly in his room...NOPE found Cannon's gum. Little stinker. He is a genuine little pissant  (that's what they use to call me too) We were out at the house and he was playing around "driving" the van but then he opened and licked once, or twice, or ate who knows how many whole ones of the dum dums I had stashed in there AND found and opened a big bag of skittles I didn't know I had it there. The big boys ratted him out or he would have eaten the whole thing. (Once found I did remember the skittles, HE, just put them in the cart one time at HyVee but it was so dang cute and they were on sale so I went for it...) Payback are gett'n me.  Crazy kid. He begs to go the the "farm" constantly. He helped Isaac pull out some nails, then found his own board to put them back in. And he's getting pretty good on that little balance bike too!

They boys had left the pool (nasty green swamp really) alone so I hadn't really worried about it, but unbeknownst to me Isaac had them over there trying to create a siphon to drain it one night when I wasn't there. It didn't work-that time. But the next day I caught Tanner 2 rungs up the ladder and kinda freaked out. I told Isaac him getting that drained was my top priority, well all he needed was a better hose so they got it going the next day. Then the boys had a BLAST making "Stew" ... so gross! Whatever, its little boy heaven right? Those are make shift balance beams in the kitchen on the next picture down.

And remember last week I posted a picture of them laying in the grass. Ug. Nothing last week but this week we were 3 for 3 finding ticks on them. AHHHH I'm freaking out. Isaac was hopeful it was still too cold for them but it took all of 1 nice day for them to be out in full force. SO DANG NASTY-and scary too because the little sucker can spread disease. UG, it gives me the heebie jeebies!
Tonight we had a little family project in the boys future room. I tried to just "enjoy" it because it was kinda fun (minus the fights) to all be in there working together, and heck-we got a lot more of it ahead of us. Our hope to get this one done before the carpet guy leaves town for 3 weeks, and then the once next to it and then we'd have a couple places we could move all our our stuff if we end up camping at our friends house. YIKES.
And after the ticks, it was hair cuts tonight! Cannon has just been into combing his hair in the mornings and didn't want his cut but we were like "sorry, no way, you have to have short hair, really short hair so we can see if there's a tick in it." (UG, so gross, I'm going to have to toughen up, but I'm not tough yet!) Anyway, his reward for cooperating and getting his hair cut was he got to help cut dads. HA!
Well I'm sure I'm missing a hundred stories but that's about it for now!

A little farm house...the project begins

It’s official-as of today-we are home owners. The good news is I’m feeling much better about the project than I was last week. I heard more (or rather overheard more) about some of the stories (that I didn’t elaborate on) from last week 😳 oh boy I might not have understood just how hairy things got but I’m happy everything has turned out just fine. So far anyway!
So the week...I got my hair trimmed for the first time in WaaaAAY too long. Colt had told my mom he wanted his hair to stick up so while we were there Grama bought some gel. He meant a Mohawk but when you when you say stick straight up to grama...this is what you get. She didn't know what Jasper's (friend at church) hair looks like.

We sure love Grama time though--and trying to steal her phone.  (Also below: when the tickle monster is coming...we practice. They were pretty good.)
Wednesday night the Cub scouts put on a little Carnival. The boys had a blast.
Thursday was Cannons music program at school.

And Thursday after the program we got Grampa!!

We hate those through the night flights but not quite as much as we love a good deal! ($15 from Vegas to STL!) Tann cashed in on some belated birthday spank'ns right away--and Cannon is anticipating collecting his.
The boys are loving life out at "the farm" as we've been calling it.

Apparently Tanner thinks its pants optional out there...
Tickle Monster and Grampa's Pepsi...2 of our favorite things!
Thursday night we cooked a TON of bacon for the Seminary kids and today they had their once a semester breakfast put on by the bishopric. Our house was FILLED with smoke and the bacon smell might finally be clearing tonight. But hey loved so it was a success. I was able to go help and to make Orange Julius for them because my folks are here so we could leave the kids- that was nice.

As soon as we closed we felt like we could really do something out there...although we were getting a pretty good pile in that dumpster ahead of time--its looking even better (as in more full) now!
And just like that--the project has commenced!!
Wish us luck!

I'm enjoying the heck out of my beginning photography class. But its a late night, then Isaac's always late with mutual on Wednesdays so its two late nights-plus we have Camp meetings every week. Oh boy I'm note sure if I mentioned that here or not but the same day we bought the house I got a new calling. Stake Girls Camp youth leader. Girls camp is 5 days after we have to be out of this house.
We'll see how it all plays out...Anyway its been a blessing to have grama here, we keep putting her to work tending.
here's a few "homework" pics from photography class
This one was supposed to show motion...it does, now I've just got to get to wear he's not blurry too.

I really shouldn't even try to do photography homework inside, above and below were supposed be frozen action pictures of my little basketball man...

And Tanner by the fence was supposed to be lines taking me to the subject. Low ISO. and Rule of Thirds...close...maybe with cropping it...
Lastly Colt asked me why I kept using Tanner for my homework, I answered  "well buddy--you're memory is short, you weren't being super cooperative."
Now maybe we could drum up some decent weather so we don't have to keep wearing coats!. Fingers Crossed.
I'm sure I'll have more stories next week too!

It's been a crazy week. It's too late to blog--there's more stories than I could even tell. So skipping to the good news Isaac suggested banning me from the house project because I genuinely hate it and it just gets me wound tighter than a drum-which is good for NO one. So I gladly accept the ban! Good luck Grama and Isaac. Oh boy that house we bought is a dump and it smells so bad!!! Cannon noticed it right off but I just smelt the burning fire the other two times I was in it, but oh boy. That nasty old house smell-we've got it!! We thought we would close this week but not yet. Its been BUSY though.

We got to go to the temple tonight that was awesome. Thanks Grama for tending (she got here Wednesday and we've put her to work with babysitting jobs)  it's hurry up and wait on the house stuff  but--she's not bored.
Pics..cuz maybe they'll tell the thousand word I'm too tired for tonight.
Home Depot Day. We had to be quick Colt had a birthday party to go to, Isaac went on a youth temple trip. I cooked up the Taco meat and sent the dinner stuff with them.

Ann got baptized Saturday-wish we could have been there, and we're happy for her! Sometimes I find selfies on my phone...

Arm wrestles with Grama...

Service with the young men (rewarded with Swimming afterwards!)

First Grade Math night with Mom (dad got tied up helping move stuff so it was a big help to have Grama)...and she kinda likes these guys!

The kids at school tuck their stuff in...do they wear blue socks pulled up too??? Oh brother-thanks peer influence-NOT.

Tanner is talking more and more. He says airplane so cute...and crawls up on the counter with sheer delight as he finds Grama's credit card-specifically the one with and airplane on it and says "Poppa, Airplane" Funny kid. After asking nicely (well....this is in the wound to the nines category so nice might be relative) but I asked Colt to get in the car, then I asked again. Then I raised my voice and Finally yelled "Colton get your butt in the car." He came running but you can guess which two words Tanner picked to mimic. There's my little 2 year old chirping "Bu Caw, Bu Caw Bu Caw" ...thanks Tan.
But its my fault.
Whoops.

I'm loving my photography class but totally need to practice more...WHEN??? Maybe if I get my homework right this week instead of blurry I'll post some...We'll see.

Well hopefully next week I'll do a blog as the week goes on post because I just forget so much and when I remember detail I think oh man, it would take FOREVER to retail that story. So sorry to leave you out of the house drama loop but sleep wins.

More next week.
