π‘ I had a novel typed out and I didn’t push publish. It usually saves automatically. Oh well.
Dang. I don’t really want to start over. It was a big rash vent but maybe if I’m up in the middle of the night-again- I’ll retype it.
So the shorter version of the week:
Saturday Isaac had to work in the morning -dumb because no prospective students are going to go to a virtual Truman showcase. Oh well. We went to a baptism that afternoon and had the missionaries over that night. Good thing too-we knew Sister McMillan was headed home but we didn’t think we would lose Sister Broschinsky too. Bummer. We love the missionaries-I’m sure we’ll love the next ones too.

Sethy...cute but trouble!
Colts enjoying school. And I hope we’re turning a corner on reading π€π»π€π»π€π»

Tanner bought a model tank this week. I’m pretty sure there was some Cannon influence there. I told Isaac we need to do more together and I got invited to help then put it together.

Oh I had no idea. What a pain in the butt I won’t being taking any of them back to Hobby Lobby to buy more. Sorry Guys and truthfully I only lasted a few minutes then I was on Seth the destroyer duty.
Other than that rash rash miserable rash! Oh the rash actually isn’t so bad it’s the itch. The steroid creams actually help the rash but not the itch. It’s weird.
At some point I better tell the story of our little brother here on the blog. Friday’s I’m just to tired and since the allergies hit-drugged!Last June when we drove home from Montana it was the worst cross country drive EVER!!! It waa a couple hours longer than usual but a million times worse! I didn’t know why. Then we got home and I tried to start running a little-with any luck drop some Sethy weight, but I was dealing with that stupid foot injury from wrecking Sabrinas motorcycle that got infected Ug. I even said to Isaac do you think my body fighting that infection could be making me so tired? But we soon found out that wasn’t it and I guess Seth won’t be the baby forever after all-that drive was the worst ever because I was pregnant although I had no clue. Our next little brother will be here around Feb 5th. Making him and Seth our closest 2 kids! Yikes! 5 Little boys-my own little basketball team, I always liked basketball, oh and speaking of which Cannon was super bummed I can’t coach. Sorry buddy-they don’t even start until almost January this year! That’s too close.
And on that little brother note—I’m getting kind old!!!! Hopefully these boys are keeping me young π€π»
But anyway that little bit of info will make me telling (complaining) about the rash make a little more sense. Actually I purposely didn’t email the blog last week because it was too much of a rash rant. Ha-here comes the next one:
Truly though as mentioned here on the blog several times the seasonal allergies have kicked my trash this year-so bad! But I don’t like to take anything when I’m pregnant but it was getting unbearable so I toughed it out until I had an dr appt so I could ask what can I take what should I take and so on. My Dr said oh those medicines seem to be fine in pregnancy just pick one. Naturally I picked the cheapest one ππ€£ great, medicine on board things should get better right? Nope. But I took the rest of It hoping maybe it was helping a little but I was anxious to switch. I had terrible itchy eyes by time bought and started the next one-super itchy turned quickly to swollen. Miserable. But my mom came after a few days and brought yet another kind of allergy medicine with a different active ingredient so I switched again. It helped with the swelling but didn’t tough the itching. Within a few days I’d started to develop a rash-mostly on my tummy. Throw in some environmental factors like we plant the whole front yard then I plant the wheat we mixed in. But no worries I’m headed back to the Dr. -nope- he has a delivery so they reschedule me for 10 days later. I have ridiculously pink eyes (here’s a little sample of the eyes circus over WEEKS I actually had to recover several of these when I was trying to piece everything together)

Anyway so at that point just my eyes were like the top left pic and I itchy everywhere. I say “ok that reschedule is fine but I needed to talk to him about itching everywhere” they were like “oh sure, we’ll have a nurse call you” she does I explain the best I can they have me go in the next day and get my blood drawn to make sure my liver is working and they refer me to derm-she makes and appointment for me-for two weeks from then...oh and they tell me to take the second medicine (Allegra) and double it up with Benadryl
Ok
I took it twice. Immediate swollen eyes. I took the Benadryl 4 times as I suffer through the weekend but it was a disaster. Monday called (notes in last weeks post) and the got me right in. They diagnosed it as a pregnancy rash “PUPPS” (that people usually get with their first pregnancy π) and gave me some steroid ointments. Great. Eyes-fixed! Magic! Rest of me...significantly better after one day, the rash was less red. Mostly clears it from my belly and tops of my thighs but then it stalls. Oh and they want me doubling up on the Claritin stuff and Benadryl at night. I don’t love that but I do it because it seems dumb to seek medical advice only to ignore it. Anyway the rash rages on spreading all over my arms and legs. Friday I saw the OB he takes one look at my arm (He also saw my mostly cleared belly but raging rash sides when he measured me) and says “there are lots of derm things that can happen in pregnancy but that’s not one of them” ...hmm...great... he also said ask the derm people if they thought I should see an allergist. Basically he was like I know you’re miserable but everything I take care of looks good (phew-really so glad little buddy is fine but ahhhhh) so I continue to itch. It’s not getting better-at all.
I suffer through last weekend. Then I went back Monday to derm where I saw a different resident (not our friend I saw last week because his wife was having their baby) but the new gal is like “no it’s definitely PUPPS look at these pictures” π€¦πΌ♀️ As if I couldn’t google the images myself. And when I asked her about an allergist she chuckled oh and she suggested a biopsy. Thankfully they have some checks and balances in place and the real Dr comes in next, he was like no a biopsy isn’t going to tell us anything. But they gave me a way more powerful steroid and wanted me to keep on the antihistamine-I said ok but that I wanted to switch kinds.
So basically we all know I’m miserable but derm thinks it’s PUPPS the OB is like no way and I think I’m allergic to the stupid antihistamines. I know no one is allergic to them and they are what you take when your allergic to something else but I didn’t have any of this madness before I took the dumb things! So at this point medical advice or not I quit.
So that’s not all the details but that’s not exactly the short version eitherπ¬
I could have just stopped with itching everywhere is ruling my life ahhhh!!!!!!!!!
Oh by on a happier note-how bout that front lawn!!!

Until next week!
