It’s time to blog it up…
The best news is that Isaac got home!!!
And I told Grama and Grampa they’re never getting my kids this long again. Ha! True, but they are having blast I just miss them!
Anyway…pics!
Milkshakes here and there! (Cann was pretty proud of himself for upgrading the drink on his meal deal to a shake.)
Cann was so excited the cubs game was on Fox Saturday night baseball (which we get with our rabbit ears antenna) but we are in the blackout zone so instead we got the Cards game which was in Arizona. Seth was happy!
Sunday’s primary fun! We sang I’m a Pioneer Too. I had a fun plan but couldn’t get the stupid TV at the church to work so whatever-we improvised!
Colt had a craft project:
And the best part of Sunday!!!!
Cann and I were just as happy to see him we just didn’t get pictures.
Monday we celebrated dad being home by going to the lake! And Colt and Tan went to Lehmans caves with Grama and Grampa and the cousins.
They had a long but fun day. I think overall their day was a little better than ours…
Cann had basketball but after that we decided to make a lake run even though the weather wasn’t great. Seth and Addi wanted to go to the beach first so we did and it was fun for Cann too because we took a football and he had a blast making off the boat into the water catches…the quarterback (me) could use some work but he was patient. After that with much persuasion, Isaac got Cann to try water skiing, he couldn’t keep his back foot in. But anyway he got up just long enough to tip over but was frustrated—I was proud of him for trying! Then I skied and that was fun but Isaac is a little pickier than I am about the water so we went looking for better water…
We were being super careful watching the depth of the water which was fine. But then KaBoom! We think we hit a tree that was broke off under the water…
It messed up our prop, and we were done for the day…and the week. ☹️
So these are all I got for lake pics…bummer
Cherry face!

My cute friend Connie ministers to me and brought us some brownies—the first thing Seth said was that we should save them for Tanner because he would love them. The second thing he said was “Nevermind, they’re delicious!” Ha-I don’t think any of them even made it to the next day.

Tuesday I went to the temple with my friends. It was awesome, especially since I’m at this spot in my life where I don’t really feel like I have “friends.” I don’t have any at home with their kids friends that aren’t either vegan or homeschool or both. So I don’t feel like I really fit in. But I do have friends—that take me to the temple, so that is awesome! On the way home they were talking about the senior menu at Denny’s but mentioned that it wouldn’t apply to me. π€£ ha-We didn’t stop there but maybe next time, well, take me to the temple and I’ll pay full price. ππ»
Wednesday Isaac taught the welding activity for YM’s -I put myself in charge of supplying the popsicles (Italian ice)
(At least he didn’t show them how he really does it-up in the air with the welder dangling from either the manlift or the excavator or something.)
These boys headed back to Shoal creek and got in on the Enterprise Pioneer Day activities Thursday.

The parade, swimming at Enterprise Res, and a trip to the rodeo with cousins!

Colt caught a chicken (I’m not surprised at all) he named it “Humphrey” (if I remember right I might have to double check) and sold it back for $2! Perfect! Good work buddy!
Thursday Isaac worked in the temple and Cannon had an orthodontist appt in Columbia, so we all went and hit Sky Zone first.
The orthodontist went great and was totally set up for kids-Addi and Seth loved the screens. I loved that it ended up being in-network so I got twice as big of break from our insurance as I thought and paid a lot less for braces than they originally quoted me. Sweet! But Cann won’t actually get them until Sept. anyway -then we busted it home for football camp. Today-Isaac had to go into work for a bit but I’ve laid pretty low. Tonight Cann is at a camp out/bike ride so we’re down to two kids…I’m feeling a little lost!
They’ve been into the costume box…and I’m currently blogging with a stack of 12 or so books on my lap they keep asking me to read…guess I better be done.

Oh but one last pic—Isaac took Cann to camp yesterday and then slipped into work—well Addi and Seth wanted to go with him so I was home alone. I could’ve cleaned something (anything) but instead I worked in this little Marshall backpack project for Addi. Don’t look close but from far it’s pretty cute!

Not bad for a $5 backpack I bought at Christmas time and I cut the Marshall out of an old shirt the boys had. π
