…so…11:30 is probably not the best time to start blogging 😬
I got some pics on while I was at Cannon’s game but that’s it.
Maybe mostly pics this week?
We’ll see.
We tended the Harris’s dog during Drew’s med school graduation. The kids loved it. The dog, Maggie, really likes kids but had no concept of not going in my house. Really that dog is probably trained 1000 times better than our kids—having it stay outside was more a matter of principle. I mean because as soon as I let it in-you hear that train coming right? Nope. Sorry Maggie. Really we just had someone out with it pretty much all day. You can see by the smiles the kids didn’t hate it.  And it really was good to see Drew and Hailey for a few minutes. They were Cannon’s primary teachers—they thought he’d grown a ton in the two years. πŸ˜‰

Look at that beauty, I like that it’s blue and white…ha. Isaac topped off. “Mothers week” with buying me a motorcycle….I said “yeah go for it as long as it’s what you want in a 2nd bike.” All I know is that:
-it’s a 300
-it’s a Husqvarna
-it’s fuel injected (which was important to Isaac but I don’t really know what that means)
Oh and it had super low hours.  So if he’s excited about it great-then I will be too.
I said “now how about that I really want a new camera??…” he says “great buy one” but I can’t pull the trigger. I just don’t use it much and Tanner broke my last one when he was about Seth’s age, I’m thinking Seth now, Addi shortly…and technology is just going to keep improving. So I keep holding out. Anyway the new motorcycle should be fun.

More  cleaning out the swamp!

Sunday afternoon walk!

After that Addi piled into that wagon on our way to Tanner’s baseball, we were loading up so I threw it in too…and except that it was filthy-completely sun rotted and falling apart it worked great to lug her and the diaper bag and bat bags around in. So…I ordered a new one and I’m pretty excited about it!
Tan usually plays with a smile on his face—that’s good he’s definitely getting better, he even played a little catch with me this week, just with a tennis ball. But it’s light so lots of reps plus he’s not afraid of it so…it seemed like a win.

And she knows where the cleats are supposed to go!

Oh I need to do a whole separate post On the school projects blog but I found this in his backpack, πŸ˜‚
Don’t let him fool ya-he doesn’t clean his room.

Last day of school shenanigans: pics from Tan’s teacher then our sucker treats.
Poor Cann woke up sick. I told him he couldnt play baseball that night  if he didn’t go to school. He went reluctantly because he had to clean out his locker too but when I picked him up, he looked terrible. I felt really bad for encouraging him to go. He came home and had a big nap and missed baseball anyway —poor guy!! But he slept it off and felt a lot better than next day

(We did a little better than suckers the next day when everyone was feeling betterπŸ˜‰) ISON summer IS ON!

And more of that dang hydraulic ram project. I was the skid steer driver to get it out of the truck.

He went with a new one but apparently the hydraulics on those John Deere’s are the same as hitachi’s so it came orange and he has to paint it.
But look!!! All the cleaning the pool out might have been worth it.

They swim -he works on projects- I take pics-(and try to make sure everyone is fed.) And that sums up life around here the last few days (or always?)

I mean…he recruits help when he needs it. 😏
I just keep taking pics thinking “I can’t make this stuff up!!”

Like the bar “battering ram” hammer to pound that GIANT pin in after he broke his other one.
But I’ll be darned-he got it!
This is all he was trying to do-turn the bucket-when he broke it.
He broke it trying to force the quick coupler on it to work and uncouple it. YouTube told him to be a little rough with it. 😏 whoops.
School of hard knocks is a little rough sometimes.
A wire was undone and that’s why it wouldn’t uncouple.
Dang.
We’ll check better next time!
He also changed the oil on this beast today.
All day—projects projects projects
Oh but he got to work in the temple yesterday and I got to go over Tuesday. I know the temple is the Lord’s house but I just kinda like to think of it as the “house” of Israel 😊 it’s always good to go there!

Cann had a game tonight.

Addi and I cheered him on while his brothers and Isaac went to fathers and sons. Kinda last minute …he saw the text about 4 the left at 6:30 but I hope they’re having fun.

Saturday-you’d think with these first 4 pics we shoved a lot of fun into Saturday…
But that’s just a start
We had such a fun day.
Isaac had graduation stuff so the rest of us all went to Cannons scrimmage. Afterward we were talking with a friends mom about having friends over, we were talking about possibly Tuesday when Coen said “why not today?” I was like actually we don’t have anything today would be great. His mom said the same thing and the boys did rock paper scissors to decide which house to go to —and they were headed to the Eitel’s! Well Colton is in Coen’s little sister Laney’s class and she said “Can Colt come too?” He wasn’t so sure but ended up going and had a blast! The rest of us went up to the smaller fields and I worked with Tanner on baseball a little then we ran around at the skateboard park.
Once home we busted out the kiddie pool for Sister

I was going to pick up the boys at 3:30 but…they were having too much fun so I let them stay until 5. They even went over to the school and checked on/played with the baby chicks.
Once they got home they started working on the pool.
Take note-it’s greener than the grass!
Why do we let it get so gross?? Every year?!

They put some chemicals in it so now it’s a least blue slime. Figure out the leak is on tomorrows agenda so…I’ll keep ya posted!
Sunday
This guy offered to wear these shoes to church for me on Mother’s Day—gee thanks. But I think he’s pretty cute! πŸ˜‰

He told the boys it was Mothers Week! Tanner was ticked dad was screwing around with the holiday messing up his view of tradition …until he realized he accidentally left this
At school-then he said “fiiiine-it’s mothers week” haha thanks buddy.
Back to Sunday though-some of our friends that are med students invited us over for cake for their daughter’s birthday so we went over there and then afterwards we headed to the cemetery.
We didn’t really see them there, but this was the first time we had passed the Hilton’s on our way so we stopped on the gravel road and chatted with him for a few minutes and then as they pulled away, and we pulled away Isaac said “we have a flat tire” because the air pressure light head come on. So he got out and looked at it and we decided we better not go to the cemetery. We better go home and fix it —we turned around and when we got back to the pavement he decided he’d better check it again, and he was like “oh boy I don’t want to ruin this tire. Let’s just change it right now!”  so he changed the tire about a mile from our house, and went to the cemetery afterward.
Then, Monday, the kids are still in school, but Isaac is done so Monday we just had a really fun day together. It was rainy so we said we might as well put that climbing wall up! And we did!

Just to clarify, Addi  is not really climbing on anything she’s just standing on the ground, holding the handles!
But she wants to!
Monday was also supposed to be Colt’s track meet or field day. Whatever it’s called in elementary school- but it got rained out. We were super glad that it got rained out because he had hurt his toe. He kindof had “turf toe” or something. But one of our friends in the ward is an OMM  doctor and she told us a couple stretches and I just figured if he was tough enough to run on it, he could run on it, and it was feeling a little better, but we were glad for a couple extra days for it to heal up.
Monday was so fun but Tuesday…and the rest of the week Isaac (and the recruited help) worked on taking the broken excavator apart.

He’s spent a lot of time researching fixing it? Price quotes. New or used? Replace all of it? And so on.
I don’t know what he’s decided!
My poor little Seth a roo has been sick this week. We just keep thinking we have it beat—then that stinking fever will sneak back, but I am just hoping it goes away -and stays away- soon. Poor little guy..
but he is a total trooper! He just gets feeling crummy and tells me and then goes lays on his bed. He doesn’t love taking Tylenol but he will when I tell him he has to. And the Tylenol seems to be working so hopefully it can just run its course. Should be done soon…

Sissy bug is still just showing off her perfect balance-no steps yet. And she loves to put the ties on. Silly girl!

And a self-explanatory pic on the Grama treatπŸ˜‰

Colts track meet got rescheduled for Thursday and he was supposed to run at 9:45 so that’s when we got there but we missed all of the short races. I was pretty disappointed that I had tried to look at and follow the schedule. What a joke! It was a bummer though, he won every race last year but— he didn’t win any this year so he was pretty sad when I saw him there-plus we weren’t there- And I was worried about it, but by after school he couldn’t care less so that was good. We did get to see him run the 400 though! They had about 20 times too many people on the track and they had three or four kids fall down- and I think he had to stop for at least three of them. Last year I had to tell him to get to the inside lane. He he tried to do that but I think we will have a different race plan next year if 40 kids we’re gonna to be on the track it once —I think I’d have him stay  Outside a little longer. Avoid the trips! 🀷‍♀️ Anyway…he is really fast but if he wants to win the races, we probably should work on that a little bit. Noted!

Thursday night the Bryant’s came!
It was so fun to see them!
Since it’s the end of the year, and we had friends over I let them choose whether they even wanted to go to school or not. Colt went Tanner and Cann stayed.

I got too caught up in visiting because I only took one picture— that’s crazy!  They are headed to Kentucky next, we are excited for them.
And tonight we had baseball, both Cannon and Tanner had games!

Bout it.

The Addster is 1!!!

Look how dang cute she is! I couldn’t get her to look at me… so I had to move and have the semi truck tire in my picture and by then her hand was in her mouth and not coming out-she got two new teeth for her birthday! But oh well she’s pretty darn cute-looking or not. Although—I can’t think of a worse birthday present than a dress but-since her swimming suit didn’t come (it finally got here today πŸ‘πŸ») I wrapped this up. But really just so she got to open more than her one big present.

She was content to play on the box! The brothers…not so much!

It was a fun day. We’ve got us a special little girl!

Grama said the Barbie’s needed an explanation! All I’ve got is this: we went to the dollar store looking for a cupcake topper Saturday and they had these little Athlete Barbie things. I never really thought I’d buy a Barbie but if these count I just did!
I can’t remember where Isaac was but I had 4 kids with me at the dollar store 🀯 it’s a miracle we got out of there alive. Oh yeah I think he had the business school awards banquet…I went once—I’ll take the dollar store! Anyway we had to pick Cannon up from his temple trip at the church so we hit the dollar store, ordered pizza and picked him up in one big loop! He wasn’t game for one more stop -because baseball was on TV- so we made do with what we had and headed home.

Barbie or not I thought our cupcake toppers were perfect. We let her pick which Barbie ball player we lit the candle for and she went with the softball player. That’ll work.πŸ˜‰

Oh Adalyn Grace-we couldn’t love ya more.
It was such a beautiful day we got out on a walk (pet Ray’s ducks)  and also went over to the cemetery!

The rest of the week-eh-there were some ups and downs.
This box came and I just thought it was for Isaac cuz I hadn’t ordered anything and when I shook it it sounded like chains rattling. But Addi got a little birthday hookup!

Colts clay project.

Proud little Mother’s Day gift giver.

*We got a park one day
*Had a couple well checks
*The boys went fishing tonight
*worked on -and brokeπŸ‘ŽπŸ» the excavator)
And we set the toilet upstairs for the honest to goodness 6th time. And…it leaked. 🀯🀯🀯
But hallelujah-he found out where-up in the bowl- so we’ll go buy a new one tomorrow. (Good) We have two downstairs but he’s saving those for if he builds a shop and or puts one in downstairs. Orrrr he really does love his mother in law enough to just buy a new one for upstairs. 🀣🀣🀣
Either way!
Ok what else?
Sunset when there’s a tornado an hour west of us. The sky was crazy!

And I was determined to get some updated pictures

None of these are going on the wall but…they’re cute kids!

And they emailed us team soccer pics but I think I’ll spare yaπŸ˜‰
Both Tann and Colt finished up the spring soccer season week, it was fun but …I’m glad to be done. 😊
