Ok so I’m going to mix it up…and see how it goes. Instead of going back and putting a video of the week…or a few weeks (or months 😏) on the bottom of an old post I’m going to try it out at the start of a new post…or maybe just whenever it is in my camera roll that’s when I put it in-that’s how most of the blog goes I see the picture then “oh yeah…” and I tell the story. Anyway so here’s the video, mostly stuff I’ve already blogged about but whatever

I’m actually excited to blog I feel like the video sparked some “oh yeahs…” like the mine!!!!! I didn’t even tell the story. Isaac’s always wanted to go Grandma had always wanted to go so he calls…they’re only doing school tours right now. Oh we’re with a school Truman State University in Missouri. This is how he gets us a tour. They call back and say sorry we don’t have anyone to drive the bus up…he talks them into it. I don’t even know how. Then we show up and it’s just our little family. They’re like I thought you were with a school?… “we are”
I’m dying right? Like let’s just go back and not be late for Maddi’s wedding.
But instead the bus pulls up and we get on. There’s this random couple from Orlando that pulled up right behind us. They turn then away but…once there letting us on…they might as well let them on—the old man was super confused and grateful but just shaking his head. Yeah! Welcome to my life sir!
But it was cool and great memories and we did make it in time for the wedding and I have a story to tell so—good enough.
He’s crazy.
We love him.
Saturday we rolled in too late for Bro Knights funeral I felt a little bad but oh well. We were cutting it kinda close then we did the roping stuff with Shad. When we stopped for dinner we actually went in and ate-same with breakfast. It just takes longer and that morning I was in the back by Addi when Isaac pulled over cuz there was a horrible noise. He checked the trailer but couldn’t see anything so I can’t remember but I think we tried to go again but it was awful. I said “It feels like it’s right under my butt.” So he looked at the back driver side tire and said “crapola” our lug nuts were loose and we’d broke one stud. It was crazy but thankfully an easy fix but still…😳😳😳
But we made it home that afternoon. I don’t know what time but that day is a wash then the next day is recovery day! Getting the kids up and ready for church was no picnic. Isaac was the high council speaker -in our ward-it was kind of fun! I’ve never heard him speak as a high counselor before. The kids sometimes go with him on speaking assignments but I don’t. He did a good job. Oh and I walk into primary and the stake leaders are there. They’re so nice but I was a little bummed because we have a lot of fun and I try to always have something the kids will enjoy planned and I was like sorry, we’re learning a new song. Last time the stake leaders were there I was brand new and just trying to figure out what the kids knew so if the stake leaders are there -primary is boring. Oh well!
But Sunday was not boring…because we’re the Ison’s.
He decided to cut down a tree! What?!!! But first he had to move the man lift—look at all that extra space😜 Cannon’s in the skid steer dragging him cuz it’s stuck.

Oh wait l forgot to report the animals were all here and seemed fine when we got here. Except Teancum. No sight of him. Belle is always so happy to see us (well them-not me) she goes crazy.
But Sunday driving home from church Isaac’s said “I think Teancum’s going to be home when we get there” we pulled up and nuthin…but then one of the kids walked around the side of the house and saw him! It was pretty cute as they squealed with delight, they were so happy!

Ok back to Sunday and the tree
…he said “I think I’m going to trim that tree.”
??? …Not exactly a Sunday activity but-he enjoys it so his logic is “it’s not like it’s work” (that would only be if he cleaned it up.) It was supposed to rain and he wanted to get it done. So whatever! I definitely take a more pharisaical approach but I know that’s not right either sooo…. He can take up his sabbath observance with the Lord someday it’s none of my business…I’ve got my own stuff to worry about (but I’d kind-of like us on the same page raising these kids)

You can see it turned into a fun family activity so maybe he’s right?
They especially like jumping off the man lift to the tramp. I took this picture but overall couldn’t watch. I headed in!

Monday Cann got his test taken that’s what we had to come back for. Colt brought home his art projects.

We took the pics then deposited them into a “special place” his idea not mine. Perfect!
Tan’s…same! But I might still be in the process of sneaking them there…not sure.
At least I took pictures right?😬🤷🏻♀️

Tan had a baseball game but it got rained out.
And we tried my silhouette on cutting gaskets for Isaac…didn’t quite make it through the gasket material but it gave him a good pattern and I ordered myself a new blade afterward. 👍🏻

Tuesday Isaac and Addi tightened up those chairs Grama sent us with.

It was the 8th grade promotion parade. I guess at least I know what that is now.
I didn’t even get a good pic of Cann (if I remember I’ll text his friends moms and see if they got one then add it)
But I got cute pics of his sibling watching/waiting for him.
They were playing hard the last few days of kindergarten so I got some fun pics from Mrs Feeney but the best was Seth sang I See a Hero and we sent it to her. He really has had a great year!

(Did you see that I left the time at the top of that screen shot? 😳 yeah he should’ve been in bed…but (shrug) we got started on summer early in Utah then at home too!)
Isaac’s been working on his boat engine (it’s weird he had the boat shop take it out but he’s the one putting it back together-they’re not really helping him…and they lost the bolts…but in their defense it was last Oct…who knows) but when they wouldn’t let him work in their shop he had time to clean up the tree—and cut more—you can’t really tell but I’m running the skid steer and he’s lifted up in the bucket…so much for the man lift right?

The best was Addi giving me the hand signals —wiggling her little fingers to get me to keep coming forward or putting her hand up to say stop. It’s pretty stink’n cute.
And a little trampoline fun!

Tann got nominated for student leader of the month (before we left but I just found the paper wadded up in his backpack)

And then…yesterday was the last day of school! 🎉🎉🎉
It’s a through the car window pic but look how fun when I dropped Seth off!

There were several blow up costumes and music— that’s Mrs Feeney “riding” the pink flamingo. I was stuck in the drive through line but totally wishing I’d walked him up so I could’ve gotten a better picture!!

On the last day Colt had an assembly. I almost didn’t go because when Cannon was in 5th grade it was so jam packed and…well, lame, even though he did win an award for reading the most words. But I’m so glad I went! 3rd and 4th grade weren’t shoved in there so there was SO much more room and Colt got tons of awards!

With Mrs Walker the librarian.

You better believe we got doughnuts and slushies after school!!!
And then Cann had a baseball game.

Today we went to our friend Lincoln’s baptism.

And tried to clean out the pool (no luck)

And tonight they are at fathers and sons, or Aaronic Priesthood restoration commemoration or whatever you want to call it.
They left at about 6:00. I’d bet ya $50 there back by 10:00 tomorrow morning 😂 seems like a lot of work for such a short time but…I hope they’re having fun!
