Ho Ho Ho
We survived!
Isaac’s the best he asked me what my perfect day would be this morning and I said no fighting kids and it’s Friday so get my blogg’n done. Well I don’t know how we did on fighting kids but I think they’ve been pretty good today…and it’s 7:30 and they’re watching a sci fi movie (not my style) so he sent me into blog. Sweet! Actually what he really won points for was bringing pizza home for dinner. ❤️❤️
After our perfect day discussions this was a conversation between Seth and I this morning…
Seth: How come Santa only brought us one present?me: What do you mean? He left a present out he filled your stocking, and left a wrapped present. I thought that’s what he always did.
Seth: No, last year he brought us way more presents.
Me: Oh really, what did he bring last year?
Seth: Moooooom, that was a whole year ago I can’t remember
Me: Well, I think he brought you lots of fun things this Christmas too
Seth concludes with a sigh:…Santa must be getting old!
🤣🤣🤣
I have no argument for that!
But let’s go back to last Saturday and run through the week, Tanners first games! Maybe I almost slept through them 😳 I laid down by Addi and everyone else was watching the Chiefs game and I should’ve set an alarm! Anyway we made it! Tann had a few buckets several steals and even hit one free throw!
But maybe We need to work on form! 😬 Yikes! But we won one and lost the other one by two. Tan played good and he had fun (except when I yelled at him) so…I can work on that and then—good enough
We have this goofy light we got from Grandpa Ison I’m not sure what they were doing with it? Maybe it makes everyone looking at dads phone more fun…
Quite the ambiance.

Sunday Smiles! Yes please!!
Cannon had already left with Isaac …

Learning to wrap!

Working on our hands.

Thanksgiving…Christmas…this is how we do holidays…

Cannon was so excited to buy and give this gift to Addi. Really for them to get a taste of the joy of giving is the only reason I give in on sibling gifts at all!

…but Addi opened it and said “we already have a coon gun”

😞 but he still talked her into having some fun with it. When I told Isaac about it he just smarted off about how she already knows the inefficiency of gift giving. Basically put himself in the doghouse. Grinch. …or Scrooge -whoever- I was ticked. Good thing in a last second scramble he inefficiently bought me enough chocolate to crawl out of it 😉

I love it when they play together.
I reluctantly settle for the play fights!!
Christmas morning!!

Sleigh wreck in the background! 🤯

And this year we had them work together and memorize the first paragraph of The Living Christ document. It’s a great Christmas message!
My plan is to plug away at the rest of throughout the year. 🤞🏻

Orbi gun wars are in full swing. Cann and Tanner asked for them from Grama for Christmas and yesterday Colt bought his own (should be here tomorrow) and Seth found one to buy tonight at Walmart we could just went and did the curbside pick up.

We’re all fans of the masks and actually the cold weather is perfect because they bundle up and as long as they put their hoods up, mask on and wear gloves they play and play and nobody gets hurt. 👍🏻

Tanner got some laser tag guns from Santa but they don’t like them as much…🤷♀️

Tanner always wants Cannon to play legos with him, Cannon won’t and Tanner gets so grumpy about it—and life in general—so I thought him reading the grumpy monkey book was pretty fitting!
😉
My real dilemma is that’s this is the last post of the year. And the company I’ve used to print the blog book for the last 14 years went out of business last summer. It should be fine to find another company to do it…I just don’t like change!
Oh well!
