...

It’s been a heck of a week, maybe I’ll blog more about it next week. Restrictions have eased up and Mr Social is in full force. We hosted a BBQ for the youth here Wednesday another one at the lake for some of his grad students tonight. All I know is Walmart grocery pickup is probably my favorite thing right now.
A few highlight though-the new little .22! Ray had one the boys had a blast, Grampa bought one but it didn’t get there in time for us to use it last trip so when Isaac wanted to buy one I was kinda like eh...we don’t really need one. But basically he wanted to buy one so he did but it was really fun and after I went down and shot with them I don’t think having an another is a bad thing at all with 4 little boys.

Fathers Day was anti climatic but that’s to be expected with the celebrater hater. He got a new suit. We left his in Utah but it wasn’t a big deal since he needed a new one anyway- I’d told him that I was buying him one for my Mother’s Day before that anyway.
I picked it out but...it might be a little too trendy looking for me. Oh well. There’s always next years motbers day.

We had the missionaries over for dinner that night.
Isaac didn’t say anything, he shows no emotion but it was weird for me to have it be the first Fathers Day without Grandpa Ison. I always knew that in his own way he was a voice of reason Isaac would actually listen to. Maybe I’m dreaming but I like to think he would have helped reason Isaac out of this crazy let’s buy a bus and convert it to a motor home plan.
Doesn’t it seem reasonable to want our house finished first? Our closets are framed in 2x4s, his suits hang on a 16 penny nail and don’t even get me started on that front door...
I digress

The  other thing that’s kept us busy is Isaac put up a slack line. One of my roommates at BYU was into these things but she was kind of my real deal-less I’ll just use the tow rope I have. But it was fun.

Other excitement Cannon finally got to shoot his Cannon

We had a few “garden”  finds

Colt lost 2 teeth

Isaac got a new 2nd Counselor so we went down to that setting apart.

And in bad news Seth got stung by a bumble bee. It was crazy it got him on his hand while we were mowing. Then we got off it chased us down and got him again on the ear. Poor guy the both swelled up huge. Maybe we mowed over a nest or something-they usually don’t bother us.

Anyway that was rotten, and so is working on food all day and coming home hungry! 😬 I’ve gotta be done I need to go find something to eat.
Nauvoo in the morning. We (both of us) have a mtg with Elder Morgan the new area authority.
More next week.

Mostly more mowing

Not a whole lot going on around here. They worked some more on the pool.

This is what happens when there is a fly on dad’s foot during family scriptures 🤣 they didn’t get it-just to clarify😉

Monday morning I attempted a jog out on the gravel road when I got to the end of it I was huffing and puffing but I thought holy cow that’s pretty so I tried to snag a pic

The boys and I went to Cantrell that morning -total bust- I don’t know why I thought it would be fun to go to a store that thrives on overstocked leftovers when grocery store shelves have been empty for 3 months. Whoops. The anticipation was good though-and we got free ice cream (I still managed to spend $100 🙄 maybe I should be glad I didn’t find any ‘good deals’)
That afternoon the Neff kids came over.
They played hard and had a ton of fun but honestly this picture is way better than the ride was-it was so slow...barely moved. Ha!

They came over one other time and we got to see the Pettit’s a couple times too-yesterday we went out to the beach at Thousand Hills. They took the canoe, buried each other in the sand and had a great time but I have no evidence because I left my phone in the car.
Isaac and Cannon went to the equipment auction in Chicago on Tuesday (the younger boys played so good!)  Then just our usual shenanigans... the one of Cannon is him holding up the proclamation he made a frame for the children and youth activity—Colt is so anxious to get to do it too!!

Tonight we were cleaning up messes (trees he’s cut down) that make it impossible to mow.
I feel like we’re so close to being caught up!

Oh and just for the record they didn’t end up getting a piece of equipment -but now he’s looking tirelessly at and old motor coach that he wants to convert into a motor home. It’s always something I swear!
Am I ok with it, 🤷‍♀️ Kind-of. Sure. Maybe.
But do I think it’s a good idea? No! Of course not! It’s crazy. I don’t care if the tourism market has been decimated-it’s still like burning dollars. But whatever. Time will tell
Time will tell
And I’ll keep blogging, telling my stories to keep my sanity.

Last Friday we road the Hiawatha trail! It was pretty fun but pretty long (for little guys) at one point Colt said to me “Mom, I love to ride my bike but when are we done?” And Tann was complaining of a sore butt about one mile in!
But it was beautiful and a fun adventure.

Saturday we hung around and chatted, then went on a walk/bike ride and capped the evening off with an Isaac special! He found the hot springs...we fit right in but his sibling rolling up in their Denali’s. Ha!

He swore the water troughs weren’t in the pics online. Ha! Of course not!

It’s been a while since I’ve laughed that hard!
Here’s a pic Levi snapped-look close its perfect. Me smiling but underlying very concerned, what am I thinking? It’s not my fault...I’m sorry guys...I’m so embarrassed...he was related to you guys before he was related to me...don’t put anything past him...
Maybe all of the above. Him most genuine and happy smile ever! The trailer in the rear view mirrors just a nice bonus!

Everyone was a good sport about it though.

A rainbow and a sunset-who could ask for anything more??

A few pics from the air bnb. Isaac ended up being best friends with the owner-no surprise- he even gifted him the horn from his mission. Sweet! It fit right in.

Cann tagged around with the big kids and these two played for hours!
Sunday we left about 2 our time. Isaac hate traveling on Sunday but I wasn’t game to sit around and get a room in Missoula when we had 22 hours to go. I wanted to at least start the drive...but once we started it
We got home about 2:30 or 3:00. Stayed on the Clark Fork river and pretty much followed the Lewis and Clark trail all the way home! So Isaac looked up a book about them that kept his interest the last few hours of the drive. It was awful. I don’t know why it took an extra 4 hours but I’m telling you we’re programmed for the drive to and from Huntington-extending it is death!
But it is So so so good to be home!!!!
So Good!
When we got close Isaac and I were trying to decide if we’d come home to a new roof partial new roof or none at all I guess partial but here it is!!

They’re technically not quite done but I’m tickled! I love it!!!!
My garden is a weed patch, but we dug around and found a couple peas!

Trying to catch up on mowing is kicking my tail. But other than that things are good. Oh wait we did have some water in the basement at least partially because we currently have no rain gutters but those are on the docket.
The kids and I have hung out with the Pettit’s a few times and Isaacs gone into work but that’s about it.
Seth went to the store with dad. Haha

So so nasty I think this is child abuse but they’re working on getting it going. Gross!

And we did have to bust out the “get along shirt”
Yeah right they should call in the crawl in and kill him shirt!
They survived.
Bout it.
