I thought they were going to do baptisms grab some lunch and maybe a quick game of bowling or something then come home but they grabbed lunch and then the kids just wanted to hang out and play games at Ky and Kami’s
So Ky took Isaac on a side by side ride to check out Cedar breaks. They were forever—but I think everyone had fun.

And by time they got home I was like oh crud it’s dinner time…uhhh Paula’s for the win?! Yes please! All the kids piled in Grama’s car—Isaac and I should’ve ditched’m but they were safe cuz I wanted Paula’s. Cannons chili verde wasn’t as good as Aunt Sabrina’s the week before but those special nachos were the taste of my childhood-😋 so much nostalgia!!!! Yum!! Writing about it makes me want more!

Sunday was Grama’s birthday we celebrated with a trip to church and a big dinner with everyone.

Sunday was Grama’s birthday we celebrated with a trip to church and a big dinner with everyone.
Frosting snitches…and at some point we banished the kids to watch tv…they love screen time and adult sanity was at stake so…
That evening was beautiful-we sat outside and watched Addi master Grama and Grampa’s driveway on that balance bike and walked up to the park too.
Oh and Sunday we weren’t there but our ward boundaries change and now we’re in the first ward. We’ll go to our new ward Sunday.
Grama made Addi the nightgown of childhood.
I love it!
I love it!
I think she does too!

Monday all we did was pack up and leave. It takes forever and it’s not fun…and it’s all dreading that drive.

Above is the scene of every stop.
But we made it! It took a full 24 hours 😩 I’m not sure why, google maps said 21, but I guess pulling the trailer and 7 people at every bathroom stop adds up.
But we found all was well here at the house—both animals survived! Sweet! Guess we’ll keep doing it!!
Wednesday Cann had weights and then we had baseball that night so We decided there wasn’t time to go to the lake… Then we decided there was.
Since Isaac and Colt blew a tire last time they went so I was a little nervous, but he put air in them and if we went…without a spare😏
We didn’t even make it 1/2 way!
But our friends had invited us down to Riz’s lake (the one in La Plata that his nurse told us about) but I just ignored the message—until we were stuck and only 5 min from them.
So we unhooked the boat -barely- it was all we could do to lift it off, left it where we pulled off. Isaac took us down to Riz’s lake then headed for the tire shop
The kids seemed to have a great time. Of course the plan was for him to grab tires and then come back and get us…that was the plan…but we ended up bumming a ride home with our friends (double buckled in their 12 seater van Addi screaming her living guts out the whole way) just to try and make it to baseball on time.
Sigh
Again
But whatever!
Tanners game got canceled and Cannon wished we’d played a little more catch while we were gone. He had a couple uncharacteristic throwing errors??? But they eeked out a win, better to win ugly than lose ugly so—we’ll take it!
Cannon headed for YM camp Thursday Isaac worked in the temple so I kinda became the run around lady trying to pic up the kids that Isaac offered to give rides to. But ultimately none of them came 🤯 the younger boys were awesome though entertaining themselves, cleaning for tablet time and so on. Addi got drug on the wild goose chases with me. They’ve been playing with the black walnuts and we have the stained fingers to prove it.
Isaac -after the temple-has been helping with the two deep leadership at the camp. Oh and also recruited our neighbor Ray on some of the water stuff so I asked for other kids what the wanted to do for fun and Colt came up with sugar cookies you get to cut out and frost.
What a mess! But we did it and hopefully I scored some mom points!

We decided maybe the beach and playing in the sand to help with the dirty stained fingers…I do think it helped but they’re still stained.
After complaints of this knockoff beach not being Florida died down I think they had fun!
Sis wanted to know where the boat was?! Especially when Isaac met us there!
I think that’s the wrap—not much but still feels like a busy week!
