Oh man looking back through pics we’ve had a busy week
First of all,  we start them young on  projects...so many options on emojis to follow that comment but I better just let you use your imagination...or pic your favorite one or something.

We were meeting friends and doing a babysitting swap in Nauvoo but thankfully there were several families so it didn’t matter if we factored out of the mix. Honestly I don’t know when the flat tire happened if it was right before we were going to leave the first time or the second. Isaac got an Agent Bishop call he had to deal with and leaving at 10 turned into leaving at 2 and going via Quincy so we could drop off a moving truck. Isaac was a little worried about what I was going to do with the kids while he was gone but they were outside trying to build a fire. Well they completely drained a lighter but they got it...and cooked themselves some Top Ramen (known around here as Rahmies) on an open fire. They were pretty pumped! We’re not very nutritious around here so we supplemented the Ramen with Mac’n Cheese. Hopefully I cut up an apple too...no guarantee.
These two were so cute sleeping on each other. Oh and Cann wanted to photo bomb it.

Why is Colt in a booster and Tan not??? Don’t ask me! I’m just the mom-I don’t know anything!!

Anyway it all worked out, they had fun, we got to the temple late afternoon (we did get to see out friends who were just finishing up the kids loved that) and saw more friends in the temple-it was basically ward temple day.
It was dark but the boys did get touch the temple!

Oh and they checked out the big draft horses while mom was in the temple.

It was late driving home though-made it feel extra long. But I’d been reading the book Hatchet to them (Cann checked it out and brought it home-they loved it.) So we almost finished that on our drive but I couldn’t do it once we hit the winding hilly road. So we finished it up Sunday.
Cann and I have also been working on getting things in on family search—it’s pretty fun. I think I’m finally catching the spirit of it.
Monday I threw a fit about being the only one who ever pics anything up or does anything to clean up around here. Colt promptly said “I will help you do the dishes.” And he did, it was really sweet. And after he did we made sugar cookies.

I can’t remember where Isaac and Cannon were, but they had something they were up to.
I sure think these boys are cute! Tan just reading to himself while he eats breakfast. Seth is blurry but I love the grin! He sits up whenever he wants, crawls everywhere and pulls himself up to everything. Still falls a lot though, got his first forehead bruise this week, I’m sure there are many more to come.

Tanner hates Friday’s because his bro’s have school and he doesn’t (not this week though) and every morning he is mad “theirs short and mine is long” it’s taken me a long time to figure it out-cuz he’s very determined, says the exact thing every time and first I just thought he mixed up the short and long but I finally figured out it’s that it takes a long time for it to be time for him to go to school and it’s only a short time after they wake up that they get to go. Funny kid.
It was parent teacher conferences this week-I loved visiting with Colts teacher because she just adores him but overall I could pretty easily do without PTC. Both now and when I was on the teacher side of it too.
I know I’m such a grouch-but really!
We painted squash into ghosts while Cann was at scouts.
Hung out at the Pettit’s for PTC and Piano this week, we’re glad they live so close and are such good friends!!
I just love it when this little guy sleeps in my arms (but he hardly sleeps anywhere, period! He’s too busy exploring and trying to keep up with his brothers.

T-r-o-u-b-l-e!!!
Today the kids didn’t have school. So we did a little basketball play date with our primary friends down at the church. Not the best time for the blower on our jump house to quit working-but we had fun. Great turnout. I think the kids had fun. We just had all the moms and little sibling shoved in that mini gym too.

Maybe Kindergarten/1st Grade is a little young, but my thought was they are not too young to start loving it. One kid kept calling it a hole in one if he made it, then hole in two and so on.
And then this afternoon Dax came over-I love it when Dax come. They play outside the WHOLE time.
Building another fire was the main event today.

They had a blast.
And we started with a project pic so I might as well end with one.

Have mercy-it never ends!!

6 months! (Old post I found in drafts that never got published)

Camping
Triathlon

Neighbors

Sunday I got new individual pics of the big  boys in their suits, hopefully I can get Sethy this week🤞

Bus for the first time. Having them ready to go at 6:55 is WAY harder than 7:30!

Tann had a fever one night and complained of his teeth hurting. Then either the next morning or maybe one later he woke up with ear wax all over his ear and in his hair. Ornery...maybe it was ear trouble??!
Me and Dr google thing he’s probably fine but I’m guessing his eardrum ruptured??? I don’t know but we know people if I get too worried.

6 months for my wide open mouth smiler
Who me?

And I know he’s only on his knees and elbows in the pic but he really does get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth!!!!
Slow down little boy slow down!!!
Cannon had football and Scouts so the other boys and I went to the park on Wed

Thursday the big boys started piano. I’m excited. Cannons not amused but I don’t care, occasionally he’s going to have to do things that aren’t his idea. Colt is excited about piano but Cannon got a little farther on lesson one so he’s of course wanting to catch up.
Today Cann had football. So of course he wanted to play catch before!

I think he had fun. These guys had fun in the grass and playing on the K.

We did come follow me and scriptures down at the church because Cannon wanted to stay and watch the HS play but there was just an hour and a half to kill before it started.
And this...is because Tanner didn’t get to tie his own cleats

This is just a phase right???? Probably not with this kid!

Oh and today we had friends over at lunch.
This post needs more stories and details but I’m too tired!

I walked into the living room last Sat and saw this!
Little cutie but dang they grow so fast! The boys had the cushions off the couch and that was just enough of a help for him. Now he pulls himself up with the cushions on and all! It’s resulted in a few tumbles but he thinks he’s a big shot! And speaking of the cushions they were using them and the pillows as shields throwing little nerf arrows at each other-just fighting- when I gave them the “hey knock it off” Colt came back with “we gotta know how to fight off the firery darts of the adversary!” 🤣
At least I know he’d been listening for that 2weeks of studying the armor of God! They’re good kids—and really I’m just thankful they were playing together instead of glued to a screen! Big boys even helped Tan with this puzzle 👍🏻

Did I mention he’s a lot of help...
And sometimes it’s a miracle we even get to church! This pic does not do the war in the back justice!

More home improvement around here. He was just jacking up the floor using Grampa Chips favorite level 😉🤣🤣🤣
Oh and he’s got some trim up in that hallway!

Annnnnnd we start them young. 😳
We went to the dentist this week. Tanners first time. Ward friends tended for me, both when we first went and the next day when I took Cann back to have a cavity filled. All 4 of us but only one cavity—pretty good.

Colt our little art lover was pretty excited he got to be the art star! And Isaac and Tan took our grandfriend Bro Chace to Grandparents Tan. Tan loves school but Isaac said he couldn’t have cared less that he and Bro Chace were there.

And today!!! It was s pumpkin kinda day. We got to go to Colts class and carve pumpkins.

We had a great time and Ms Hatfield didn’t mind tending Seth either 😉
I’m so surprised I don’t have a pic of Cannon in his Indian costume. I just ordered a cheap one off eBay. He loves it. And don’t be thinking I’m the one making a robot costume! Little Mr independent is on it!

Oh and we snagged Lani’s bike for Tan to borrow because as soon as he can do it he can ride the motorcycle and he really likes motorcycles!
It’s a wonder Tan let Cannon help him after this:

After doing it at school there was no escaping the carving pumpkins at home project tonight.
Colt got pretty good at being the guts man.

Finished projects!
