So I only had this one picture on my phone this week! (and a couple of movies) but that was it. What a rotten miserable week. We missed all of Stake Conf last weekend. Thankfully we got feeling "better" Monday-ish but nobody felt very good yet. The boys didn't have school Monday (Presidents Day) or Tuesday (Professional Development Day) Wednesday Cannon went, when it was time to take Colt I found him laying on his bed-fever, AGAIN. UG! So he didn't go. Then Thursday school was canceled because there was a sheet of ice on all the roads. Today Cannon had school again but Colt doesn't go on Fridays anyway-so there ya have it, what a week!
Isaac succumb to the sickness Friday night and he probably got it the worst. He has still gone into work when he had to but he has slept and slept and slept to try and fight it off. He was home trying to sleep it off again today-a full week later. His birthday was Wednesday, it was pretty anti-climatic, he got a new church shirt-big whoop- and he had the boys and himself in bed at 7:30 when I got home from cub scouts.
Bout it.
We spend a lot of time on zillow again lately. πŸ™„ nothing. I asked him if he was going to buy himself a house for his birthday because there was a foreclosure on 5 acres he'd been eyeing but he didn't. It's tough-he definitely wants to be outside of town and have a little land, I want to be in town and would really like a place I could actually get excited about moving into--
Who knows? Time will tell but the house hunt is miserable!
We're hoping for a better week next week!

πŸ€§πŸ˜·πŸ€’πŸ€’ we are the sick house and it totally sucks!
So pics only...

Valentine hookups
From cousins

And Grama

Cannon's class party (I think this is where we all got sick)

Colts party was lame and we shouldn't have skipped naps-sleep might have helped us fight off the germs!

Socks from mom (everyone was wearing Tanners paw patrol ones)

How we survive sick--too much screen time

Colts class went to the petting zoo (so did Cannon's but my friend sent me pics of Colt for my "Friday book" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ she knows me!

We were going to go to Nauvoo tomorrow for Stake conf. Elder Hallsrom is going to be in town and we were excited but since our house is the morgue we vetoed that. πŸ˜” Dr Isaac has been awesome and we just pray he can hold out-or at least me get better before it catches up to him!

Nauvoo Exodus Reenactment

Last Saturday we headed to Nauvoo to participate in the exodus reenactment. It was a neat experience! We didn't show up with names of our ancestors that participated (although we have them) so they gave us name tags for the Horne family. A mom and dad with 3 little boys pretty darn close to our boys ages, and we walked (or rode) for them. It was cold but not nasty frigid, but sacred hallowed ground for sure!
Breakfast at the family living center first was a hit tooπŸ‘ Cann couldn't even turn from that cinnamon roll for the pictureπŸ˜‰

(Above) sometimes these dang boys are so cute I could burst! ...And...sometimes they are so naughty I do burst darnit but let's stick with the positive!

Tanner LOVED the horses and was not about to turn his head from them for a picture! So he was pretty excited to get to pile on one of the wagons and let the horses pull them. (The got right up front for a better view of the horses.) I walked-it was warmer! I love the temple in the background on the second picture down (by the horses head)

Down by the river is WAS nasty Cold!!
After we headed back, went to a park (brr) made some sandwiches then I went to the temple and did a session and the boys went down to play in the frozen river. (Only Super Dad--the incentive was the only way he got them to eat!)  The temple was nice, and I came out to 3 kids that "got a little wet" oh brother! Thank goodness for the arrival center! They had stripped most of the wet clothes and We stayed indoors while it was my turn to tend. Our neighbors were actually there too so I visited with them--they live through the block, we actually visit 2 hours away, ha! Whatever Works. Both on the way there that morning and home that evening we saw So Many bald eagles! It was awesome!

Later in the week I read an article about President Ballard. It reminded me of the summer we spent in SLC because he either lived or had lived in the ward we attended there that summer. But it was pretty cool to recognize that in the space of 3 1/2 years (could've been 1.5 if we'd gone over to the reenactment sooner) we have both lived at the mouth of immigration canyon and celebrated the 24 of July there and participated in the Nauvoo exodus reenactment. That's pretty cool! Heavenly Fathers hand is definitely in the details of our lives!!!

And the rest of the week just kinda passed by...
Sunday our friends the Williams had us over for dinner. (They are brave.) It was fun! Tuesday we went to the church after school with Cannon's buddies from Kindergarten, they are still great friends and the boys had a blast- except Colt, he laid on the sidelines and just wanted to go home the whole time. When we got home he fell right asleep. Cannon told me he probably got sick from drinking the water in the mississip....drinking it?!?!?! Sometimes I'm better off not knowing! Wednesday I was going to keep him home but he seemed fine and wanted to go to school so we went. He was helping clean the walls with a toothbrush... maybe this sick is good?
(Then a few random pics)

But it's not really good, this many days later the little guy is just still not full speed. Bummer!

Not the most put together blog post but that's the week-you get the idea-

Looking back at the pics Grama just left this week, no way! Seems like way longer!
We've got a couple checker heads on our hands! Isaac doesn't take it easy on them AT ALL. I've concluded it must be because he's the 4th kid in his family and his older siblings must have taken it to him, so he thinks that's how you learn. I on the other hand, will say things like..."Do you really think you want to do that?" And let them change it if they make a dumb move, then I end up losing, for real, to a four year old. Whoops--too bad he didn't ask me if I really wanted to make dumb moves huh?

And this kid...I just love him...and I deserve him and his little temper. Paybacks sure seem to be exponential though. YIKES
He took a big ole tumble down the stairs, I didn't see it but I heard him hit every single step. It was awful. When he settled down he was just mad I didn't bring up his basketball too! I assume the basketball was involved in him losing his balance in the first place. Few dings on his face but nothing too serious! Oh boy, and look at that mess in the background! Unfortunately its an all the time thing around here. Next pic too, I have to take down a treadmill fort EVERY time I want to use it. I went down one day and they had Tanner perched up on the "roof" part--happy as a clam I might add!

Grama came through on more homemade donuts. They're spoiled.
We loved having her here but we had to give her back. Colt's vote was go check on Grampa then come back...duh!

I have a million pics of Tanner but he's the one that will stop and say "Cheese" whenever I pull my camera out. I don't know how I didn't get a picture with the other two at the airport. Oh well.  The next morning Tan was awake when I needed to walk Cann Man down to the bus, it was dang cold so I had the bright idea to lock him in with the dead bolt. (Way easier than bundling him up.) Luckily the bus came quick cuz I could hear him yelling from clear down at the corner -which I was a little surprised by- I walked back up to a wide open door and him standing there letting me have it. "MOOOOM" remember how he can finally say my name? Yeah right, "say" nothing the kids just YELLS my name in the most demanding fashion. Anyway so I came in and asked him how he got the door open and he was happy to show me. Him and that dang basketball!

Thursday we went down for Colts post op appointment. It went fine but took up the whole day. That night we had the new sister missionaries over and Isaac went to clean the temple. Today our valentine necklaces turned quickly into fruit loop necklaces because they taste better! But they had fun. Colt and Adalyn played perfectly and both had naps and that was a blessing because I had a couple other little friends over this morning too. But it was good I think everyone had fun.
All in all it feels like a busy (and kind of stressful) week. It just seems like there is always something! Tomorrow we are headed over to Nauvoo for the exodus reenactment. Anyway, we'll stay busy and everything will work out...or it won't and I'll keep blogging either way so--there ya have it! HA!
