When we were visiting last Sunday Bubba waved goodbye to grampa (my dad). So that's his new trick, its pretty cute. Saturday when we swung by Grama and Grampa Frei's (my grandparents) he and grampa where waving back and forth-pretty dang cute.
He'd been getting up every 2 hours. NOT FUN and pretty frustrating, but then after two nights of that he slept a little better but sounded like he had a sore throat when he was babbling away, so he was probably sick and that was why he was up so much, and me, I was oblivious....mother of the year right? Bummer.
So Monday...
Every time I have a headache that's bad I think "I don't know what a migraine is, but this has got to be close." After Monday I'm sure I figured it out. Oh my heck! I was just cruising along being super productive (I love that) seriously, lunch for Isaac, breakfast, 3 batches of laundry and 2 batches of cookies and it was barely 9:00 I had a big ole "to do" list and I was kick'n tail on it. Then all of the sudden. GAME OVER, it was like a brain freeze headache that is so sharp and piercing and you just hope it will go away, but it didn't! It was awful! I finally even called my mom to see if she could come get the baby because I was useless. She didn't answer so I just laid on the floor (and moaned okay I'm such a wimp but I was miserable and I didn't know what to do) and Bubba played in our dresser. Emptied out all kinds of drawers and I was just so grateful he was content. I drifted off (I know, again, parent of the year right I probably shouldn't admit things like this) but it finally broke a little bit after falling asleep but seriously an hour and a half plus of a brain freeze headache. NO THANKS! Anyway even by practice time I wasn't feeling awesome but slowly it went away and I was fine. Random. Weird. Pretty much hoping it was a one time thing!
Tuesday we played at Canyon View, the bball was just about as ugly as my headache the day before. Soph's one in OT J.V. by one and Varsity got beat. UG it was...UG. It was fun to see Coach Potter and his family though. His wife (Misty I thing~is that awful I'm not even sure) tended for me during the varsity game. It just kind of weird, I'm happy for him but it just seems like "Hey, you're coaching for the wrong team dude." I like the association and friendships you build coaching. Wednesday Kami went back to work and I tended all 3 kids. 2 kids, 2 arms... doable. 3? People do this and live to tell about it? YIKES Then I think of my excuses like "they're all under 2 yrs old" but one of my bball players sister just had twins and her little girl isn't two yet, so lucky for me its only 1.5 hours. It's life for my players sister! Thursday it was so windy so we ended up just going to the church and played inside. It was actually Super fun. When we got in the car Ann of course wanted "Papa...Cows" but then when I saw her Friday she said "Hoop" first thing. I loved that. Thurs was a better day of basketball (Since we got the sweep at Hurr. Varsity won in dramatic fashion but a wins a win, it was good for us.)
Friday we made a little date night out of the boys game and went to dinner, then Saturday morning Uncle Will took us to breakfast, we had a good time it was fun to visit and breakfast was delicious (and 2 meals in a row, it was a fun break from cooking for me!) We worked on Isaac's grad school applications pretty much the rest of the day but it was a fun day to just relax and be home (I sure wish the messes would have cleaned themselves but they didn't, so there they are waiting for me~oh well) Sunday was just a good day, church was just good, one of those days when you hear what you need to hear, then a nap :) :) :) I loved that. We steered clear of my folk's house because Chip has been sick but visited Grama Cottam and Grama and Grampa Frei. It was fun.
