Today has been crazy!!! So we’ll see what I get done
Last Saturday we were so excited to see the Nielson’s before Cannons game! I can’t believe their 18 months in Adam-ondi-Ahman is already up! That went so fast (for me) but when I added things up and Addi’s almost 6 months I was like oh yeah I guess it’s been that long! Ha. It was great that it worked out that Cann’s game was in Trenton.
Oh but first the weather was in the 80’s and football wasn’t until the evening so we had to get outside! We had a monkey on the zip line—and a mom!!

Then we headed to Trenton. Teresa ended up not being able to make it but we will catch her in Utah and it was so fun to see Wayne. The kids thought he was pretty alright hooking them up with quarters for the quarter machines and buying fried ice cream along with dinner. They were like this guy is like Jesse-only better πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Wayne is showing Isaac some of the dozer work he’s done on the lookouts and stuff there at the mission I do regret that we didn’t just go clear over to Adam-Ondi-Ahman and see it in real life while they were there. Darn. Also see that Missouri sweatshirt Wayne has on-were not responsible for it but we did give him another one. Literally less than one hour before we were going to leave Isaac said “we should’ve made them t-shirts” I said “we can” so we quickly went round and round on what it should say “bring on the 2nd coming” ?? “Ready for the next thousand years” ?? “This earth was once a garden place” ?? But in then decided to just get the  pictures in the shape of Missouri figured out and then decide…but we ran out of time and those were all we could pull off quick enough—and we cut it close! But we had a picture of Wayne on a grader and a picture in our house that Teresa had taken out her front door there, so they were specific and individual and we got upstairs to my t-shirt loot (it might be a little ridiculous how much stuff I have up there) as we were grabbing t-shirts and looking at sizes we saw a couple hoodies and decided maybe maybe sweatshirts would be fun-so we went for it. Seth loves the Grader and since the heat press was fired up-we made him one too. Oh and in the ole t-shirt shop I made Isaac a spiritual momentum shirt this week-I kind of love it…but I’m going to get it a little more balanced before I make me a twinner one -ha- somebody’s gotta be the Guinea pig!
Anyway back to last weekend-it was a pretty late night and early church but we survived the late and early.
Monday the kids didn’t have school. It was supposed to rain -and it did- but I told them if they didn’t get outside and play while they could there was no chance of a movie later when it was raining. So scampered right outside and…I never heard from them again! It was awesome. Addi had a great nap and after a couple hours we decided we better go check in then. When we found them they were so excited to show me their project! They had built a bridge!!

And even more excited it would hold Addi and I.

It was awesome! I was like yes, this is why we live here!!  We celebrated their project with  pizza and you bet we watched a movie that afternoon. I just loved that they were all working on it together (and not fighting)
Tuesday all I really remember is that I went to Bible class—where I learned that the people there don’t believe that we are children of god!!! What? I was blown away, I mean I brought it up completely in-aware that was a doctrinal difference. I mean the lady that prays (always the same one) addresses Heavenly Father as “Father God” but it’s her daughter that was adamant we are created in Gods image but are not his sons and daughters.  I just said “well we’re going to have to disagree on that”
I’m grateful for what I know.
Oh I didn’t end up sharing the Book of Mormon but apparently I should have—there’s a lot it clarifies!

Anyway Tans pic (no need to repost that terrible one of Seth) and how am I this far into a post without the little Addster showing up? Thought I’d fox that. πŸ˜‰

Seth (and dad) finally talked me into crawling up into the Golden Goose yesterday. Addi’s face —I know, sorry Sis!

She looks pretty happy with her brothers though. I don’t know how she’s smiling with Tanner holding her like that!!
And then today-I signed up to take stuff for the luncheon for Sister Knights funeral but I signed up for lettuce and tomatoes (among other things) but I wanted them fresh-so I had to go to Walmart. Then home to cut the tomatoes and in theory wash and tear the lettuce until I saw the ready to go stuff -I don’t know how much extra I paid and I don’t care πŸ˜‚ Then another trip to town to drop that stuff off early -oh and Isaac needed me to swing by and get the programs too- Then home again throw on Halloween costumes, back to town to catch the end of Isaacs one class and the start of the other with a little reverse trick or treating. I didn’t even take a single picture!! So you know I must’ve been rattled! Anyway home again grabbed pizza on the way (I guess that was kinda my fallback this week and probably would have done something else if I’d thought through the greasy hands, whoops-oh well) threw on church clothes and headed back into the church so the kids could run through Families can be together forever before they sang it with their friends at the funeral!
They did great!
Then -sigh-
Relax-finally!
We invited the Pettit’s out (after Isaac roped them into singing with us for the funeral in our ward hey we needed a bigger choir and the primary is all combined now!) but it was fun to have them out. We rarely get to see them anymore. They’re just busy-and so are we.
After that the day slowed down…until I had to feed these people. And now their all sleeping and I want to be so until next time…

Little Scootcher

Addi can scootch-I feel like that’s the big news of the week!
I really can’t remember anything from last Saturday. Addi and I took Cannon up to football so that took up the whole evening, he played up in Scotland County and he and I watched the Utah game when we got home -it had a lot better outcome than his game anyway😏
I’m sure Isaac had some kind of project but I can’t remember what- I know he got dumped off the horse -lost one of the stirrups and had a pretty sore neck for a few days. That’s why I usually take pictures of things to help me remember but I’ve got nothing so I guess we’ll move on.
Sunday during Sunday School was when I realized Addi can go where she wants. She’s been mobile for a few weeks but she’s moving with a purpose now!

Colt loves monkeys! Always has! But he’s also my most agreeable kid-would totally just pick whatever out of the box upstairs-but this year I decided to buy him a monkey costume-finally.

And the package said costume pajamas so he scored when it was pajama day at school. Actually I bought all the costumes this year. Seth wanted to be a “frog head with airplane wings” so when I found a frog head for $7 I was sold. I thought airplane wings meant cardboard or something -but easy- When the head got here he said “where’s the body?” Soooo this turned into todays project. Isaac said “since you had to make it anyway do you wish you would have just done the head too?” I said “no!” But I really do wish it matched better so maybe kind-of…

He might not realize it but I’ve made enough costumes over the last 11 years to know that even with 5 kids-maybe especially with 5 kids I definitely saved money buying costumes. Ok not compared to when I say “no go pick something out of the box upstairs!” But I did that last year so this was kinda fun.
I don’t have pics of the other kids but…I will.
Dinner-hey Colt the pans usually not hot when you put it in! πŸ˜‰

He’s a great helper though! The crescent rolls were all him!

We busted out Seth’s new school coat. Look at that thing! I bought it not last summer but the one before but that’s a pretty good coat for the $5 I paid for it. I had to store it but the thrill of a deal is worth it for me. My Grandma used to call it “gett’n hit by a sale”  I love getting hit by a sale!
Good times!

This girl chasing a basketball around—yes please! Not sure which one of us had a bigger grin when I saw this 😊

We also tried nibbling on a Graham cracker, a lemon (thanks dad) and some blueberries this week.
She’s getting to be pretty big stuff!
Alright let’s see what else is on my phone. I won’t post it but there was a picture of some chipotle chili pepper powder. It was what I grabbed instead of chili powder --same color—when I was throwing together fajita seasoning for dinner. Yikes! πŸ₯΅ great flavor but…hot hot too hot for wimpy me! I didn’t even try on the boys-we just went with rice and bean burritos.
I did have an extra kid I was tending that day and I was trying to multi-task so I guess they can be glad I made dinner at all -right?
The next one…just on my phone.  Colt almost got a picture of me AND Isaac!
And after that my little nap wrecker…but with a grin like that I guess she gets away with it. (And with all that blue she might have needed a bow πŸ˜‰)

Yesterday we took the flowers I bought weeks (if not months) ago over to the cemetery, but Sethy wouldn’t let me get rid of the old yellow ones. So I’ll try to remember when he’s at school.  I might be weird-who cares- but it is SO good for me to go there. I was a little surprised it caught me a little off guard that it was a little emotional when I was getting Addi out. It just kinda hit me when I said “Come on Sis-let’s go check on your big brother.” It was just weird cuz to everyone else he’s our little brother. Anyway, it doesn’t help that Sethy still thinks we should just dig him up then we could play with him. Oh brother!

Sometimes I tell them if they don’t quit fighting in the car they’re going to walk home on the dirt road but today somebody told Seth he couldn’t do it because he was too small. Don’t challenge that kid! He kept saying to let him out I was like no let’s get a little closer finally I just gave in. He probably ran .4 mile. He even tripped and fell but wouldn’t get back in. Colt just followed him for moral support. But really I’ve got my work cut out for me trying to find ways to channel that strong willed kid!

The only other thing is the missionaries taught us how to share scriptures using the three little dots in the app, pretty cool—I wish I would have known that sooner when I sent the Bible study gal a screenshot of the Alma 26 scripture…next time! I’m just plotting what scripture to send.
“Seek this Jesus” at the end of Ether
“We talk of Christ…that our children may know.” 2nd Nephi 25:26
I mean there are thousands of options!
Or wait and see where the Bible class takes us?
I dunno, I guess we’ll see.
I just think studying the Bible so hard in isolation is kinda like driving at night with just your dimmers on.
But I’m going to have to have the courage to tell them!

Until next week πŸ‘πŸ»

This weekend was Isaacs fall break. He had ideas of grandeur but…they might have fizzled. I am slowly learning that it’s better to let him figure out if things are going to work or not rather than spouting off all of what seems to me like obvious reasons they wouldn’t be good. But he wanted to take the Motorhome and park it somewhere South. But Branson isn’t exactly going to give you Arizona weather and even that is five hours away and we’ve lived here seven years and never been there once yet so would we really want to go three or four times??  probably not. But I do wish he would’ve had more fun with his days off than  tearing the kitchen completely apart trying to find a dead smell or dealing with church stuff…
Anyway I guess we’ll start with the week see what we’ve got
Saturday was the deep cleaning of the church service project it might look like Colton is writing on the doors but he’s actually doing the touch up stain.
Then just doing their thing

Sunday was the funnest!!! The Godfrey’s and the Holt’s  came back to visit! When I saw them walk in to church my heart -and face- just smiled and I thought yes!!!! This just feels so good! (Heavens gotta be like that only better right?!?!)  anyway they came out for dinner and it was just so fun to see them and visit and catch up. The kids had a blast Sethy wants them to come back (but no dinner) Ha
Don’t spill the lemonade Seth 🀣

I showed Seth how to trace-he did great! And Tanner got a possitive office referral from Mrs Totta! We love her!!

Sister tried some Apples in the anti-choking device. And they got to paint on the trailer.

Screen shots of the boys school pics-I would feel guilty about such thievery but I did buy the dumb yearbooks so-whatever I’m posting a screenshot on my little family blog.

Tanners or Seth’s aren’t posted yet but—have you ever seen a worse picture of Seth? I don’t think I have! I asked him why he didn’t smile and he didn’t have an answer. If I would have realized it was picture day maybe I would have tried for a shirt that fit-probably wouldn’t have worked anyway. And since I’m not buying them I won’t worry about retakes but -yikes.
Football’s almost done so naturally these two were sleeping with the basketballs.

We’ve figured out the trouble with the Golden Goose and lowboy here…there’s NOwhere  here to turn it around. We had a plan but even after we took out a couple fences we didn’t have quite as much room as we thought 😬

He literally cleared the barn by a half an inch and the downspout on the house by maybe 2 inches. (We dug out my strawberry plants -moved them—and ran over them anyway 🀣)  It was a disaster-he and Seth were just going to run up to the place he bought it real quick and…an hour later we ALMOST had it turned around. Then I had the bright idea that he should just back up the driveway then he wouldn’t have to turn around. Great plan—until he was just spinning out. Below it’s Addi and I operating the skid steer giving him little tugs up the driveway. Once he’d get going I couldn’t keep the chain tight he was just coming at me…then he’d start spinning again and I’d get it tightened up. Finally I called him to ask how I could go faster??? He asked if I had the gas pedal clear to the floor-ummm nope hadn’t touched it I was just running the joystick 🀦🏼‍♀️ But we were done by then anyway. No worries though-Seth thinks I’m a good operator! 🀣
I guess I’m better help than none at all-but not by much!

Addi show’n off her new outfit from Grama!

And todays project 😩 it smells like death in here-probably not what he had in mind for fall break. He never did find the culprit. And that pic on the right-that’s foam he’s spraying under there. I hate that stuff but-whatever.
It’s definitely cooling off. I like wearing hoodies but we know what’s coming. Brrr

Conf 5 months for Addi & oatmeal…

Oh boy! I’ve got a lot to blog there’s almost 150 pictures on my phone from just this week. 😳That’s crazy! But some of them are for our new conference train and some of them are -you know 50 attempts at sister eating oatmeal- that type of thing. So I guess I better just get started and see what I can get to!
Conference was awesome! I love conference, actually did I ever write about going to the Bible class? Oh….this lady I ran into in town -random- TWICE I didn’t know her at all anyway she invites me to this Bible study…at first I blow her off and tell her we’re studying Isaiah but then Isaac was like “why didn’t you tell her you would go?” So after the 2nd time I went, it was fine —but the second time I went (She was like the group leader) and she was like “God does not speak to prophets any more.” Well lady -sorry but you’re wrong,  and you just hit me on a strong hold so yeah -let’s roll! Anyway long story is that I wait until it was over to disagree with her but I did. I said that I absolutely believe in loving prophets and that I was going to listen to them that next weekend. I didn’t know whether to go back the next week but I did because…well, they need what I know! And I did have a chance to testify in front of all of that group that God does in fact speak to living prophets and that my experiences with heeding  prophetic counsel is what matters and nobody can take that away from me anything else is just their opinions πŸ’ͺ🏻 …and that I really didn’t think it was just random that old run into that gal. So that was Tuesday that was pretty cool and really everyone in that nondenominational group was pretty cool and respectful but anyway back to conference weekend…
Sometimes it feels like all I do is referee fights, clean up messes, and feed people  but I looked up and saw this:

Holy cow! For a split second I was winning!! It had to be documented!
Actually the boys did awesome that entire session! And we did our best to make it fun -Grama had hooked us up with a super fun conference box that had a bunch of snacks in it, so sometimes we’d do a treat from the conference box or we did end up doing a few fun bags (I kind of modified the way I’ve done that so I didn’t have to make so many just one bag with something for all 4 boys) so that helped.
For the afternoon session Cannon was playing football so we listened to some at the park while he warmed up and I had my Bluetooth thing in while I took pics at the game but mostly I need to re-listen πŸ˜‰
Cannons team got KILLED! Oh and it started early so we missed him being a captain and their just wasn’t much good stuff to take pictures off. Oh well.

It was a fake hand off—too bad too cuz it turned into a pick. But I also had a picture of Luke getting drilled as he threw it so-no wonder it was short and picked off. Cann said he got the ball on an earlier play like this and lost 3 yards—but it was in the first series and…we missed it. Whoops.

**’Im so mad I had blogged SO. MUCH. MORE. Than this and it was one of those poof gone days 🀯🀯🀯 I do know-I got a text and I opened and responded??? Can I remember to never do that? I dunno but it’s wildly frustrating!!! I started early so I wouldn’t be up late—to no avail**
So here’s the watered down I already typed this out with way more detail once version. Maybe I’ll just add all the pics then see if I feel like telling stories…I’m really just lucky I found even this  much in the temporary back up section but…why couldn’t it have just temporary backed up all of it???
Grrr
The football fans…poor sister!

More Conf

What is this craziness??
Too big too fast!
She doesn’t really know what she’s doing but she doesn’t stay put either.

Let’s not let him pick the bow…
Why do I even have that?? It didn’t last but those pretty blue eyes do!!

Tuesday Isaac Cannon and Tanner left on an adventure to pick up the lowboy trailer. It was in Rolla-about 2.5 hours from here…they left at 1:00 I thought it was reasonable to expect them home at 7 or 8. Silly me! They rolled in about 12:30.
At least it has a sleeper!

I guess Tanner was about to lose it and Cannon wasn’t far behind. Isaac had to talk them off the cliff about controlling what you can and just fixing one thing at a time. He said he was talking to Cann but Tan listening in really helped. Cannon said it was a “total Ison adventure” which is really not fair to his siblings to call them that, I mean, it’s all Isaac.
Tanner had a field trip the next morning

Colt had a field trip today but I didn’t go. 😬
Sisters pay backs for that bow-she’ll use his monster truck for a teething toy. This is about the 7th toy that I donated to Seth’s school prize box that has come back. 😬 Out of all 8 or so  classes how does it end up in his??? Oh well.

I love reading pics!
And OATMEAL!!! Cann was so excited to feed it to her.
Did I write that she is 5 months today?!?! (Or was that round one of blogging?) anyway too big-too fast!!

Isaac got to go horseback riding with a couple from our ward. He loved it-Enzo did great.

Above helping dad drain coolant.
Below-the Isaac special on the cap-I had to bid on that excavator for him, no didn’t win the excavator but I did get a picture of my 10k bid when I was winning! But two blinks and that sucker was at 65k. Nope.
Then just him puttering. I guess as long as it makes him happy…
I mean-he’ll always be puttering but this project will only keep him content so long. I mean…the projects get ALL of his attention (says the wife) but only until he dreams up another one.

Sethy wanted to load the skid steer and the tractor up the second he saw it—so Mr Fun dad made it happen tonight. Seth is his little helper!

There’s more! But it’s just not as fun to tell the stories round 2. I think I have more pics of the boys playing on the lowboy-for sure Seth holding Sis on it (because he thinks of course she’d want to play too) I know the pics from Colts class not making 2nd cut, or the rainbow, or the boys running home from school but…oh well
I’m done!
