Last Saturday we were so excited to see the Nielson’s before Cannons game! I can’t believe their 18 months in Adam-ondi-Ahman is already up! That went so fast (for me) but when I added things up and Addi’s almost 6 months I was like oh yeah I guess it’s been that long! Ha. It was great that it worked out that Cann’s game was in Trenton.
Oh but first the weather was in the 80’s and football wasn’t until the evening so we had to get outside! We had a monkey on the zip line—and a mom!!
Then we headed to Trenton. Teresa ended up not being able to make it but we will catch her in Utah and it was so fun to see Wayne. The kids thought he was pretty alright hooking them up with quarters for the quarter machines and buying fried ice cream along with dinner. They were like this guy is like Jesse-only better ππ
Wayne is showing Isaac some of the dozer work he’s done on the lookouts and stuff there at the mission I do regret that we didn’t just go clear over to Adam-Ondi-Ahman and see it in real life while they were there. Darn. Also see that Missouri sweatshirt Wayne has on-were not responsible for it but we did give him another one. Literally less than one hour before we were going to leave Isaac said “we should’ve made them t-shirts” I said “we can” so we quickly went round and round on what it should say “bring on the 2nd coming” ?? “Ready for the next thousand years” ?? “This earth was once a garden place” ?? But in then decided to just get the pictures in the shape of Missouri figured out and then decide…but we ran out of time and those were all we could pull off quick enough—and we cut it close! But we had a picture of Wayne on a grader and a picture in our house that Teresa had taken out her front door there, so they were specific and individual and we got upstairs to my t-shirt loot (it might be a little ridiculous how much stuff I have up there) as we were grabbing t-shirts and looking at sizes we saw a couple hoodies and decided maybe maybe sweatshirts would be fun-so we went for it. Seth loves the Grader and since the heat press was fired up-we made him one too. Oh and in the ole t-shirt shop I made Isaac a spiritual momentum shirt this week-I kind of love it…but I’m going to get it a little more balanced before I make me a twinner one -ha- somebody’s gotta be the Guinea pig!
Anyway back to last weekend-it was a pretty late night and early church but we survived the late and early.
Monday the kids didn’t have school. It was supposed to rain -and it did- but I told them if they didn’t get outside and play while they could there was no chance of a movie later when it was raining. So scampered right outside and…I never heard from them again! It was awesome. Addi had a great nap and after a couple hours we decided we better go check in then. When we found them they were so excited to show me their project! They had built a bridge!!
And even more excited it would hold Addi and I.
It was awesome! I was like yes, this is why we live here!! We celebrated their project with pizza and you bet we watched a movie that afternoon. I just loved that they were all working on it together (and not fighting)
Tuesday all I really remember is that I went to Bible class—where I learned that the people there don’t believe that we are children of god!!! What? I was blown away, I mean I brought it up completely in-aware that was a doctrinal difference. I mean the lady that prays (always the same one) addresses Heavenly Father as “Father God” but it’s her daughter that was adamant we are created in Gods image but are not his sons and daughters. I just said “well we’re going to have to disagree on that”
I’m grateful for what I know.
Oh I didn’t end up sharing the Book of Mormon but apparently I should have—there’s a lot it clarifies!
Anyway Tans pic (no need to repost that terrible one of Seth) and how am I this far into a post without the little Addster showing up? Thought I’d fox that. π
Seth (and dad) finally talked me into crawling up into the Golden Goose yesterday. Addi’s face —I know, sorry Sis!
She looks pretty happy with her brothers though. I don’t know how she’s smiling with Tanner holding her like that!!
And then today-I signed up to take stuff for the luncheon for Sister Knights funeral but I signed up for lettuce and tomatoes (among other things) but I wanted them fresh-so I had to go to Walmart. Then home to cut the tomatoes and in theory wash and tear the lettuce until I saw the ready to go stuff -I don’t know how much extra I paid and I don’t care π Then another trip to town to drop that stuff off early -oh and Isaac needed me to swing by and get the programs too- Then home again throw on Halloween costumes, back to town to catch the end of Isaacs one class and the start of the other with a little reverse trick or treating. I didn’t even take a single picture!! So you know I must’ve been rattled! Anyway home again grabbed pizza on the way (I guess that was kinda my fallback this week and probably would have done something else if I’d thought through the greasy hands, whoops-oh well) threw on church clothes and headed back into the church so the kids could run through Families can be together forever before they sang it with their friends at the funeral!
They did great!
Then -sigh-
Relax-finally!
We invited the Pettit’s out (after Isaac roped them into singing with us for the funeral in our ward hey we needed a bigger choir and the primary is all combined now!) but it was fun to have them out. We rarely get to see them anymore. They’re just busy-and so are we.
After that the day slowed down…until I had to feed these people. And now their all sleeping and I want to be so until next time…
