There is a chance I take too many pictures...
And I was one proud Mama this week when I walked by and Cannon was kneeling holding this ball up to the hoop, by time I ran back down the hall to get the camera I missed it though. Bummer.
The week after basketball ...:( doesn't exactly make me want to catch up on house work! Oh well,
we stayed busy, Lilah and Nichole came to play. That was fun. And of course we played with Ann and Elsie.

Thursday I washed my phone. That was the pits. Friday was Isaac's mom's birthday, we had a little party in SL that night. Cannon was pretty impressed with Levi and Stacy's new leopard cat.
And of course he loved just playing and playing there, he has so much fun he can't be bothered with eating or sleeping. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Kenworthy which was fun and he was so tired by time we got there he slept pretty good, and he loved waking up and getting to play with grama's dog Dolly.
Saturday our nephew Ethan got baptized, which was fun and for the little dinner they roasted a pig! So basically Nate and Isaac really are brothers! Oh my goodness. Just like the goat...I tasted it but that's about it. Some people in their ward did it for them and it was the 26th pig they've roasted in the last 3 weeks. Oh MY! I love this pic though, Brandon Ethan and Eric, check'n it out a big ole grin on Nate's face and Melanie is cut off, but a far more skeptical look on her face. One pretty solid guarantee at any family gathering is Uncle Isaac will talk the cousins into a race. Cannon was sleeping in his arms for the first heat, but then Isaac had to get in on the action. See him cruising to victory? (Its a nice strategy to wear them out with a few preliminary heats, he's going to need to employ that tactic as they get older and faster) Ethan laying exhausted in the the bottom corner picture said "He always wins, I've never beat him!"
We came home that afternoon-swung by the hot pots by Fillmore but didn't get in, there were lots of people and they were small and it was cold outside, but after hearing about them for 3+ years, I can say I've been. If you squint really hard you can see a little red speck on the trail, that's Isaac he's caring Bubba, I'd turned around to get Cannon a jacket, you can see how interested he was in waiting for me. Too much excitement I guess.
The good news is they were super easy to find...well or rather they will be next time, so maybe someday if there's fewer people and we have a swim diaper and towels and are a little more prepared we might actually get in them :)
Sunday we went to Ky's ward because they blessed Elsie, then after the block they had a little shin dig. It was really fun to see everyone. It's been a good week.

Sunday was a Fun day!
Isaac had me crack'n up this last Sunday at first I was just thinking he was crazy-so focused and putting so much effort into silly things but then I just started documenting and got caught up in the fun. It was actually just what I needed to take my mind off of my little broken basketball heart.
So he had snagged this little toy remote control blimp from his dad a while back but as you can see in the background of the following pic...it didn't exactly float. So we had our work cut out for us to get it neutrally buoyant. We started with these little balloons that were the only ones we had.

The were less than effective though. When it still didn't float Isaac was pretty bummed he was going to have to get a "cloud buster" balloon from work...until he remembered we have garbage bags...oh brother!
The ultimate contraption:
It totally worked :) Check out the videos!

And finally one last pic of dad and bubba driving the air ship.
I love it when we laugh and laugh together. We really should do it more! (Which probably means I should be more on board with ULTRA random things) but it was super fun. "I didn't know I married and Air Ship Captain." Then I started calling him "Captain" and ultimately I ruined our fun pushing it away while he tried to maneuver it into a tight space (over to where I was feeding Cannon cereal)
It was a fun day though.
We also went down to my mom and dad's in the afternoon.
And to Burton's to see the baby goats, and Isaac and Billy had a little reunion-oh that goat STINKS SO BAD. Isaac swears he can't smell it.

I rarely title my posts but I thought about titling this one
DANGIT DANGIT DANGIT
Today I'm a sad little typer! In the long run~its been a good week, but really my little heart just hurts right now, I'm sick sick sick for my basketball kids. This week, I had a little life lesson hit me (I started to write about it in a different unfinished/unpublished post-maybe someday) anyway but I was thinking about why I love coaching basketball so much and how life lesson heavy it is. Then as the basketball week went, we thumped Morgan on Thursday, and Judge on Friday, but came up short in a dog fight with SC for the title. Now I think RAM it on the life lessons!
The poem that I love, that I believe in is "If you want a thing bad enough..." and it ends "you'll get it" so what about when you don't get it? What about when you do all you can and its not enough?... and you 2nd guess everything and think what if I had just done or said this or that (there's a million things~ I know the answer is: you go back to work, and it wasn't enough so you find a way to give and do more but...) Dangit. Its just the pits. Isaac's so positive and happy that's good and all but I wasn't digg'n it. I told him I'm sad and I just wanted to feel understood-there's just something about it I don't think he really gets because he didn't participate in competitive athletics but...-then I got a little lecture (positive of course) on life and he said it wasn't exclusive to competitive athletics. Like I said though, there's just something... Oh well, he was just trying to make it better-which he may or may not think should happen immediately.
Anyway, Tuesday was Isaac's birthday! We really were going a hundred all week, Monday we made cookies and hid them at my mom's. Tuesday morning after Isaac left for class we hurried to get ready and went and got the cookies and took them to his class. I got kind of embarrassed as we interrupted but his class was awesome a guy on the front row said "OK, we'll sing" and they busted into Happy Birthday. Isaac actually even turned pretty red (I didn't think it was possible to embarrass him~which wasn't our intent we just wanted to make his day special and fun.) Then we made a smoothie and took it to him at work before we headed to practice. That night my folks brought up his birthday that I had stashed at their house an air compressor! (Buying that -used off craigslist- is how we ended up with the engraver I thought I'd explain the whole story but...not today) Anyway I think Isaac liked it because the next day he said to Cannon "When I get home from work we're going to blow up some tires Buddy." It was cute. He also got some new basketball shoes which will be fun.
Eat'n dad's birthday cookies.
Mostly basketball this week though, and it was mostly good...Dangit though, and then our boys played in the championship game and lost by 3 too. Double Dangit!
Play'n with mom's yard sign in his new Thunder shirt.

There is WAY MORE than I could ever write or take pictures of but, what the heck we'll give it a shot.
Monday night my mom had a little valentines party for everyone, the plan was outside at a park but we ended up and Klints when the rain hit and Nobody complained! We need the rain so bad, its been good to get a little this week. We had a fun time, we made valentine cookies, I love valentine cookies they always remind me of the year Isaac and I were dating, it was just a fun thing we did together. We took tons of pics but mostly with my mom's camera, I did snag Cann Man work'n over his sore little mouth with the toy drill. It was pretty cute. Maybe we have a dentist on our hands? Who knows.Valentines was fun (it was nice that we didn't have basketball-it was our bye) I love the holidays and excuses to do nice things for each other. Isaac prefers random acts of affection, with little regard for societal trends - but accommodates me anyway. I got the camera out to take pictures of Cannon going after the box of See's candy he bought me :) but it was a short lived fasination, I left the coat closet open and I've stashed about 1/2 his toys in a basket in there...he found'm.
Cannon's pretty cute to check on Elsie, I showed up one day and they were both in their Camo~he was obviously more excited about it.
He thinks he can do pretty much anything he sees Ann do, so here he is trying to climb up the slide.
And he doesn't even have to have Trey's help to play the piano any more, oh brother!
Thursday we made this cute little shirt so by Friday Cann Man was game ready.
It wasn't pretty but we won, so that means (for the first time) we are headed to the state tournament. I'm excited for our kids they've worked hard and, well, that's what supposed to happen at the end of the year, you go to the state tournament! And once your at the tourney-Anything can happen! So hopefully its a good week for us.
Saturday Isaac ripped a huge chunk (pretty much all of it) of skin off his thumb messing around with his motorcycle. We had a good day though, he worked on the cars, pruned the rose bushes, we worked on the garage a little, just got lots of little odds and ends done. Before we went to stake conference. Turns out little green is quite the baby sitter, he just played and played in there while Isaac and I were working on the garage.
Having a skinless thumb didn't slow Isaac down on letting Bubba play on the motorcycle. He just kept saying "we need to get you a little 50" and while my gut feeling is -over my dead body- I know my gut feeling means zip, my mother's intuition-zip, safety or paranoia or whatever you want to call it-double zip, and it will probably happen. But I don't need to waste worry on it yet not until "as soon has he can ride a bike" that is.
Stake Conf was good, definitely a focus on the family. As much as I LOVE the image of my boys sleeping together in the chair I don't like it when it's 1o minutes before church starts. I don't have a problem with going separately (so I can be on time) but going not knowing if they were coming was miserable. I sat by our friends and played a little bit with their baby-and missed mine. I kept checking the cry room to see if they'd come but gave up after it was 1/2 over. I should have checked one more time, they did come but I didn't see them until it was over. Oh well.

Bubba was help'n dad grade some tests Monday night. Too cute. (No, we don't always let our child shove writing utensils down his throat but he chews on everything!) Note the mess in this picture. The basketball bag just thrown on the couch on top of the church bag that was thrown on the couch the day before (scriptures out on top of it though, that's good) The black thing behind Cann Man is a wooden decorative sign, it says "relax" hmm so we embrace the mess and go with it. Really just uploading these pictures reminded me what a crazy week it has been.
He's always so happy this was just a funny picture of his whiny face. I don't remember what his deal was. But I think he might be working on more teeth because he's been a little uncharacteristically whiny and lots of drool and chewing on things...
Becky and Trey have been saving our bacon as far as tending Cannon loves it! After completely working their bookshelf over...
He wore himself out and had to catch a little nap with Trey in the hammock. Too Cute.
This little guy LOVES to be outside (just one more way he's like his dad) the weather has been SO pretty too. Right as I was picking Cannon up on Wed Isaac called and said he was still in town and asked if I wanted to go down to the boys game, generally you don't have to ask me twice to go to a ball game, but I might need to start thinking things through a little better with little guy. I took him the coaching office to feed him some cereal...see how well that went?
I'm trying like crazy to get him to eat more. We went to the Dr. Monday and he's now in the 13 Percentile for weight. The Dr.'s not worried at all but I'm determined to have him eat more! Isaac's so funny, he said "Well, what percentile do you think I'm in?" Then he googled it and he's "off the charts, so its normal in our family" The chart only went up to 6'4". The boys game was pretty loud but the coach'n office is a blast!
Umm maybe I'll try a Gatorade?
We tried Jill's office...nope that's full of volleyballs-so I just kept handing him cheerios. No wonder he's in the 13th percentile for weight...oh dear.

Here he is checking out Elsie, he LOVES her, its not the best pic I had to be quick before he grabs her. The thing I love about tending Ky's kids is Cannon's right in the middle it seems like just yesterday he was that small but as I see him do things Ann used to do I know exactly where we're headed. It's chaotic but fun.

...and I love this pic of him tackling Ann, its so rare that he's on this end of things!
Try as I might this is as close as we've gotten to wearing his cubs hat. I had to take a picture while he was wearing his little baseball shirt.
Friday Dad got his motorcycle put back together so he could go riding with his cousins. He has so much fun (and gets so sore) when he goes with them I wish I had pictures but we'll have to settle for pictures of Cann Man and dad riding it. Saturday Cannon helped me overhaul the vacuum. Gross! but my long hair is death on those brushes so its necessary. The mess behind is Cannon emptying my basketball shorts drawer-its a constant thing!
This entry is a little more like the style I do when I blog for Ann Banan ...but fun. I probably better wrap it up though! But Cann Man finally crawled Friday!! It's not his most effective mode of transportation and its really funny when he gets his arms going and kind of crow hops both knees in behind but he's getting there!
