Sooooo that's been today--
What a nightmare! We can't figure out what it's from. The dermatologists thought maybe smoke from the fire last weekend--seems like a long time for it to show up. Cannon, as of today, has little spots on his torso.
We did have our first Tick last week, it almost made last weeks post but either I forgot or was too grossed out to give it any more attention. Who knows! With steroids, hydrocortisone, and antihistamines we are seeing progress but dang it's slow! Still not back to the kid I put to bed last night (below-showing ya the pig) but...
And I thought it was swollen then. Dang! Not going to lie I'm kinda nervous for tonight even with all the meds!
Isaac eventually went into work but then he just kept researching things about the rash and calling which was very stressful for me I finally freaked. He came home and then decided he'd go and get the EpiPen prescription- just in case! (Of course he drove clear to Columbia cuz he could get it for $54 instead of $315 at Walmart) yikes! We hope we're out of the woods but we're just not sure.
While there really was a rest of the week-it hardly feels like it today.
Sooo I'll see how far we get, it might have to be a later post, but I know how those go so I'll see what I can do!
Before we left to go camping we found the little surprise the YW left for us, there were hearts and Hershey kisses EVERYWHERE! (What a mess...did I say that? I'm not complaining about the chocolate stash I've had, that's for sure)
Tanner was loving life and I pulled many-a-wrapped Hershey kiss out of his mouth while we were down there frantically trying to clean it up before we left to go camping.
I totally had to eat crow on the little camping trip, it was really fun. A picture just couldn't do it justice--all five of us piled in a little green with camping supplies! (Isaac said that we had plenty a room, he was driving, I was sharing my seat with two fishing poles a shovel the diaper bag and two bags of food. The Pettits even took our tent for us! Right honey, plenty of room.)
I'm pretty sure it was a four-man tent that all five of us were in but it was really fun. Tanner played leapfrog for a while and we wondered if he was ever going to go to sleep, but he finally gave up between Isaac and Cannon so Isaac took care of him all night-that was awesome. The pic above shows the little leap frog and his losing battle from falling on a pair of tongs :( I think everyone ended up sleeping really pretty good though!
The next morning the boys needed some dry fire wood! (Whatever that wood is the tinfoil breakfast burritos tasted like poison!!!!)
Isaac can't figure figure out why won't get in that thing, I told him when all the kids have a life jacket we'll talk-heck, we'll go! Leah was freaking out too--that made me feel better! Misery loves company and I guess so do heart attacks!
Sunday I let the boys paint my toenails. -and pic the color-I might not be a cool mom but better get points for that!
Monday I didn't a single picture but we got to spend a few hours with our good friends the Jacobs who moved to Texas last year but are back for a visit. The boys were in heaven and so was I, Sara is the sweetest! Tuesday we got out the park, Wednesday we had the little bike wreck but that's kinda life around here. When Colt took off his shirt I at the lake that night I was surprised to see more bruises! Whoops-Sorry buddy! But they had a blast playing around!
Tanner's walk'n everywhere like it's no big deal these days but it's still weird for me when he comes up behind me and I turn and he's standing there! He's growing up fast.
The boys were particularly proud of their "mid air" and sandy pictures. Haha!
Cann lost another tooth? Did you know the tooth fairy doesn't come when it's stormy? Ya! How bout that?
Parent fail-check!
Luckily it wasn't stormy the next night and she came!
And as of yesterday this rash crud has taken over our lives😔
Dangit!
