Oh crud the night got away from me!
Nauvoo tomorrow-maybe I’ll add to this on the drive over.
A few pics
Saturday morning the ceiling is  caving in project 😳
Then soccer -and the mascots were there for the food bank March???? Some darn thing. But Seth liked it.

How the brothers survived football. It was about an hour away-the killer is the “extra game” before the real one starts. Ug!

Then Cann decided he was done with a tooth-so they took care of that.

Last week all the roosters  had survived a week! Well, that ended Saturday! We got home from soccer and there was a big pile of feathers but the boys all concluded that Belle didn’t do it because she doesn’t eat the birds and there was no sign of a bird anywhere to be found. It must have been a “real” predator they said. But three roosters were missing the two big ones and Seth’s  favorite one they called Harry. Well Monday morning the guilty party brought her prize back and when Seth and I went to mow this is what we found.

So a friend in our ward had told Isaac that if he beat the dog with a dead rooster that would stop her from killing them so Monday when he was home for lunch he beat the dog with a dead rooster (I had to keep Seth hit me so he didn’t watch it ) and then he tied her up. Well when he was going back into work he said should I untie her and I just shrugged and said I didn’t know but he decided to untie the dog and he went back to work and I went in to pick up kids. When we came home the vindictive dog who is mad that she’s been beat by the dead rooster went and picked off the rest of them.
So how many times are we going to get birds for the bird dog to kill???
Yes I think she’s a stupid dog… (as is well documented here on the blog I have never been a fan) But it kind of seems like we’re stupid about it too…

This week it was Cannon‘s turn to go to the pumpkin patch field trip.

Our sweet friend Gabby Gillette came over and we went over to Riz’s grave and planted some flowers/ it was awesome.

Hangin out with the Hilton’s, and Tanner got to be the helper at school this week. His teacher is really great about sending me pictures and movies!

Of course that’s not it-but it’s all I’ve got for tonight!

Well see ya later thirties!
What a decade right? When I turned 30 Cannon was a baby and we lived in Utah.
40 is kindof the story of the day but I guess we better back up and do the week
Roosters might be the story of the week, I took Colt to soccer Saturday morning and Isaac took the other boys to our friends to get  roosters.

Oh they love them and check on them multiple times a day! And Belle hasn’t killed them yet. Maybe Isaac’s plan was better than I thought! Oh and they pray for the roosters too, it’s pretty cute.
It was the football jamboree all Saturday afternoon, oh man that was long but Cann had a blast. (His brothers not so much but I guess whatever right?) oh and his cute children and youth leaders came to watch him too-they’re the best! It was fun to visit!

Sunday-who knows? Then we were on to another week!
This Sethy he’s sure cute but boy is he trouble! If you ask him what he’s doing he’s sure to say “nuffing”
He’s says sure “shore” and it’s the cutest thing ever and he is 100% in to the “why?…why?…why?” Phase.
Sneaking on to dads phone-doing “nuffing” of course.

And what’s all over you? Nuffing! Cleaning up all of that calamine lotion was not fun!
This one happened while I was working on piano with one of his brothers-the only problem is I don’t play. 😏
But their teacher was ready to be done and Tan kinda wanted to start there’s a student wife that teaches no way was I going to pay $60 a month x3 kids for as little as we practice with how many other things they are involved in.
But I don’t want them to quit so we’re trying a new deal where I pay them to suffer through a lesson with me instead of a real piano teacher. I think it’s a good deal for them and I’m totally saving $$. So far 👍🏻 The downside, how would I ever get them to go back? Eh I’m not worried about it yet.
Sometimes the boys ask what we do in “mom’s class” sometimes we try…

And my view when I looked up from weed eating at the cemetery. Cute little stinker!

Thursday my awesome friends (put up to it by Grama) threw me a little birthday party play date at the park-it was really fun!

Seth wouldn’t eat so we didn’t get to go to the park while Colt had soccer and Cann had football that night but it was actually really nice to stay home. And really, who needs a park?
We even busted into the cake Isaac made me at the YW activity early!
It was pretty yummy!

Oh he did finally eat before he got cake-just to clarify.
Tonight was Colt’s football he had a great TD run but man his team???? Or the coach-I know I shouldn’t say anything if I’m not willing to do it, but multiple 40 yard passes? I was like man is this guy living his childhood dream of being an NFL quarterback right here with the 2nd graders? It was ridiculous.
Colt and Tanners class went on a field trip to urban gardens this week. I didn’t go cuz they wouldn’t let Seth and I didn’t want to nag a friend to tend, but I think the boys had fun.

I think that is pretty much it. After school today we hung out with the Pettit‘s that was super fun -it had been a long time! After Colt’s game then we went to our favorite Mexican joint for dinner which was yummy and Michaila made dinner for us so I will not have to cook tomorrow either 😊 that’s awesome!! after dinner then Cannon and I went to part of the high school football game. (While Isaac brought the other kids home) We left at halftime up by 4 touchdowns…last time when I left up by 3 touchdowns we still last. Guess we’ll see if they hung on tomorrow.
Ok that’s really it this time…
40’s
Bring it. Game on.

Oh man! It’s late but not really that late I’m just really that tired. I thought oh surely I don’t have that much to block about but then I looked at the pics,  I forgot our trip to St. Louis!!!  I have tons to blog about. So we’ll see what I can do.
We didn’t get out of town very early and by time we stopped and bought that gun I think I finished up blogging last week just as we were rolling in to St. Louis. So we stayed pretty much right down town, the kids loved that the hotel had a parking garage,  they were so excited.

Tan said ”the van gets out hotel too! Everybody in our family except for Belle does”. It was so funny. But when we got there the pool is still open so first thing we busted it for the swimming pool. Next we got them to bed (a little longer everybody waiting on one shower than when we can send them to 3) and the next morning we did breakfast and then we walked over to the arch! (Btw I did snap this pic then scream and get to Seth just barely before he got to the street. I was mad at myself for wanting a picture and mad at Isaac for not being closer to him!—I mean he’s is looking at him but you can tell by the direction his body is facing about how worried about it he was.)

Museums and kids are an interesting combination.
And we headed to City Museum next-more of a kid place but still.
We were going to walk but since walking was kind of disastrous the fist time (the arch pic above) and there was the rain and Isaac doesn’t really like to follow pedestrian traffic rules and such -he doesn’t wait for the crosswalk and when he gets honked at I get wound up so it’s just…better that we loaded up and drove.
City museum was a disaster! First of all I had no idea what we were getting into. Isaac had been there once or twice before with the youth at different times but I was picturing like a giant bright happy fun colorful McDonald’s play place on steroids-multiple levels…
Not even close!

Try a dank dark dungeon old city building that was strangely “decorated” was kind of gross. And within the first 20 minutes a worker guy had brought me two kids crying and I got a phone call about another one (who actually stayed around long enough for me to write my phone # on his wrist band) and found his way back up to the front gate because Isaac was just like turn them loose go play wherever it’s fun. Not fun-disaster! Holy cow.

But once we figured out a better schedule like dad will always be sitting right here if he moves mom will sit right there and so kind of one parent was always where they knew they could get back to us and one parent was out having fun with them then they really did like it they had fun-and really after the first level it wasn’t so dungeon-ish. Tons of people though you had to have masks on but I definitely have not been around that many people since Covid hit -and my introverted self kind of doesn’t like people-ha ha.
After that we busted it for the zoo because we have to go to the zoo if we go to St. Louis or at least that’s what our kids think-we were just quick and in the rain but they had fun and Sethy cracking up at the monkeys hopping around was awesome.

Then we headed to Troy Missouri its where Isaac’s students wedding was. Isaac went to the wedding and the boys and I just found a playground at a nearby state park, and then we came home, so it’s kind of a whirlwind trip but we had a really good time.

Sunday Seth found the stickers for Isaac skid steer and Isaac was just laying in bed with his new gun so of course I took a picture!

We rode over to Rizzy’s  grave again

Which  was a whole lot better before Belle killed a chicken! We don’t know that neighbor but he was so seething mad it was horrible but he wasn’t talking so we just rode her off —I don’t know if Isaac has been over to pay him for that chicken yet or not. I would have liked to run there Monday morning since there was no school but I did not! Stupid dog-ruining my life’  It was kinda weird,  I’ve never seen chickens there any of the times I’ve been by -which has been tons this summer-but they were all just out in his yard and now he’s minus 1. Isaac thinks he’s going to teach Belle to not kill them by getting some here… and we have some friends who have some roosters to get rid of so he thinks he’s going to start with roosters that won’t back down to her…and my opinion is that that logic isn’t very sound. It’s just a game for her and can he not remember the guinea fowl??? Whatever!  (I hope he’s not teaching at logic classes this semester!) he’s going to do what he wants to anyway so I just shrug my shoulders.
I don’t really know what we did with our day off Monday-whatever it was I didn’t take any pictures of it. On Tuesday while we were mowing we busted out Sethy’s little jeep that was pretty fun.

Wednesday we had his friend Lewis over to play, he loved that and has asked so many times to have him back over.

Yesterday we mowed some more and today we had farmhouse Friday where we had a few friends out and had lunch  it was pretty fun! All the evenings are just busy whether it’s football or soccer or…I guess just those two things but it feels like we’re slammed! And Isaac never played organized sports-all of this scheduled-ness is cramping his free spirited style! Hopefully he survives it! Colts football tonight and Cannon‘s is tomorrow.
We need to work with Colt on catching, sometimes Cann let’s the ball get too deep on him-not Colt! Come on bud-ya gotta let your body help ya, go to it!!

But he’s a flag pull’n machine! 💪🏻

More next week!
