To say it’s been a busy week would be a big understatement!
Saturday my Aunt Celia And Uncle Jim came through on the way home from their mission. So fun! The boys loved getting to meet and play with my cousin Daniels kids Alex and Elijah too!
Sunday was a long Church day then Monday morning we hit the road. Tuesday morning we rolled into St George. It was pretty straight through-even drive through to eat 😩 but we did have 1 little stop in Salina to see our besties-gosh we miss them!
We’ve had a fantastic week of fun. I’ll just try to pick a few pics to show cuz it’s way too late (everynight) But I do love that we play so hard when we get together!!!

So many pics! I should be making collages but...it takes too long. Hikes and pool and cave hunting and playing with cousins, just a good time! Seth’s made big strides on how much he likes the water.

Oh and the temple! 10 minute drive plus babysitter! Glorious!!! Oh and seeing people we know (my mom!!!! her friend Hiedi, Bro Arnold that preformed our sealing, Isaacs old landlord J, president and Sister McArthur that were the temple president and matron in Nauvoo, it’s just fun!)

Good times and for me for now...Good Night!!!

Fun and Busy Summer days!

When Isaac is gone (youth conference this weekend) it sure helps me appreciate all he does-sheesh these boys are running me ragged! It’s been another busy week. Sat we headed for Nauvoo. We went via Cantil so I could get a white shirt like I wanted for Tanner  (and of course return the one I bought for Isaac the collars on his white shirts are so ratty but silly me thinking I could venture from his norm.) Anyway going the Iowa route took us by the free ice cream place, the boys were pumped but Isaac talked to the owner for 40 min!!! Therefore I just ran in and ran out at Dutchman’s. Definitely cheapest trip to that store ever! Anyway we were barely going to make it to meet the Bakers at the temple at 1:00 and we pulled onto the bridge at Fort Madison only to realize we weren’t going anywhere!!! The middle of the bridge was swinging out into the Mississippi River so a tugboat could push some massive barges through. I hate being late but...it was REALLY cool. Of course I wished we had stayed in our vehicle as the signs directed but...not Isaac. They had to get out for a better look-and to wave.

We did make it to Nauvoo about 20 minutes later and we had a fun day there with the Bakers

And it really anybody’s guess what pics I’ll find on from Sunday morning...

Monday we had some friends over, holy Cow it was like friend abuse. It was so blazing hot, well only low 90s but add humidity and not a drop of shade...that big slip’n slide wasn’t that fun! None of the kids that even did it were really big enough to do it on their own. My phone took a ride down it. Whoops. And we couldn’t drag any of the boys away from the “tree house” Finally were we’re like oh shade hallelujah let’s zip line, but Belle had drug something dead over and dropped it right where we get on the zip line. Gross.  I had Cannon get the shovel and get rid of it, then we’re all sitting there and there was a dead mouse right at Michaila’s feet. This place! I swear! To say I was embarassed is a major understatement!!! Oh and our friends 4yr old little girl, the silage smell was burning her nose—not like oh ha you’ll get used to it—she was dying! Again, I swear, this place! When I was telling Isaac about debacle after debacle he just kept doing his little Teeheehee laugh that he does when any normal person would be mortified and he just thinks it’s funny. We did conclude our house is really fun for younger kids... And it’s not always oh hey farmhouse fun, sometimes it’s like yuck why would anyone live in this stinky place and can we go home. Oh well.
Bottom line-We love will miss the Potters, probably should’ve had them out for dinner long ago instead of trying to force the redneck fun on them last minute. Oh well, they are great friends! And it was the first time I’d ever hooked anyone up on the zip line—we’ll call that part a win. (The kids did all love the zip line but 1 at a time, long wait for 30 seconds of fun and the mower had a flat so that was a lot of pulling them back up the hill for me.)
Tuesday Cannons buddy from baseball came out to ride motorcycles with him. It was super fun, great family!

Cannon is sitting on the bridge in the treehouse but it’s changed a lot even since I took this picture. Isaac found them a bunch of wood out in the barn—they’ve been having a blast.
Cannon got to go over to Daxton’s  one day...ahhh they have a snake! Yikes! Yuck!

Of course Cannon loved it.
Cannon got to play football under the lights at the high school for one of his buddies birthdays. He had a good time. Colt—totally his own fault but he just didn’t know what to do, then he was MAD about it—but he got the worst end of Dax and Cannon trying to get ready for the flag football game.

Thursday the Baker kids came over again and Isaac headed for youth Conference.
So it’s survival mode😉
Sethy got to try some rice cereal—his brothers LOVED feeding him

I’d say he was less than sold on the whole deal. However he is FINALLY starting to like his bath, that kick’n and splash’n business is pretty fun.

Seth was on my lap so a picture was kinda tough but Tan likes to get forehead to forehead and talk to Seth then give him a kiss. Tan Tan my tan little cutie man, Seth doesn’t seem particularly amused.
Dollar jobs!!! I can get away with only paying them a dollar for this because the WANT to run the pressure washer—win win.

And it really does look a TON better...oh and that is a canteen carrier Cannon is wearing on his head. Don’t ask me! He thought it looked like an army hat.
Pool fun.

And last but not least-this might be more for the farmhouse blog but Isaac left and I tackled a project!! I hate things being unfinished (if your laughing your tail off because we live HERE....I KNOW) but I couldn’t take our shower any more! I hated it and I just looked at and hated that miss match and ugly colors every single time I showered. The plan was always to do something that’s why we didn’t paint all the way down. So anyway-I took all four kids to Home Depot and bought some stickers and did something about it!!! And I have a new shower curtain in the Amazon cart (but I didn’t think there was any sense in making someone work on Sunday so I’ll have it show up after we get back from Utah.)

I don’t know how long it will last but I like it for now. Watch out—I might buy siding for the front porch next...hmmm
Now do I go to bed or work on my list since the troops are finally asleep? Probably better do a little of both.

Holy cow, we've had a busy busy week. Fun though--and I took a TON of pictures...so lots of collages and not a lot of explanation just cuz after so much fun...I'm tired.
They've had the motorcycles out. Isaac and Cannon are eyeing a little bigger one for him. We'll see.

Chore charts and goofing around.

I kinda like this Sethy boy! Oh and that bottom left pic...he's been chewing on his tongue. Silly goose! I can't remember if it was Colt of Tanner that had my phone but I had a LOT of pics of Seth and I playing. He's at such a cute fun reactive stage!
Saturday they boys were going to go shooting real quick and then Isaac and I were going to try one of our 50 yard date walks. HA. I stayed in the house with Tanner who was asleep and Seth. Oh Tanner sleeping. The kid NEVER naps but he was a bear and wanted milk. I gave him milk and he threw a fit because it cold not warm. (Side note as disgusting as I think it is now I always wanted my milk warm as a kid, but because I think it is so gross I had NEVER put it in the microwave for any of my kids...even though my mom always did for me, my Sister in law did for my niece and so on.) Back to little Mr. Beast man, he said he would only drink it if it was warm, I asked if it warm will you drink it on your bed? He said he would and it turned into a nap! Glorious! And so simple I was wondering why I hadn't done it sooner???? Who cares if I think its gross? Anyway so since Saturday I've warmed up a lot of milk. Whatever. Back to shooting. "Real Quick" turned into HOURS, and Tanner woke up. I said something like "Man those guys are taking forever shooting." Whoops. He wanted to go to. So we found him some shoes and I called Isaac to let him know he was headed down, and he said "Oh Ray stopped by." So shooting turned into visiting and that's why it took so long. He invited them over to go shoot his guns too. They had a blast and Seth and I eventually walked down to join them. He also invited us out to the lake for Monday. Such a nice guy. We had a good time. (And even got to share with him about how Jonathan Browning was a member of the church-cool right?)
I take a lot of pictures, but so does Ray! He's so great to send me the ones he gets too.
Sunday we busted out a new suit for Colt. I bought the one Cannon is wearing for Colt but it was HUGE, this one I actually got after Easter on a killer deal (just my style right) but I thought it would be too big for Colt so he's just been wearing the black one we got from Eric, but I figured if we're going grey for Ison family pictures we might as well try it--and it fit him perfect. He looks pretty sharp right?
So now all the boys (well except Seth but I'm going to try...) have grey suits so that will leave Isaac the odd man out wearing black. Oh well. You know good and well I wanted to buy him a new one...and you know he thought that was unreasonable and certainly unnecessary. Oh well. Actually... Cannon has the one I had originally bought for Colt but-I don't love it. He wears it EVERY week...he has 3 little brothers!!! Its totally reasonable for me to buy him one I actually like, right? NO?...I've held off so far but...no promises.
That evening we went for a walk with the Bakers and SOMEONE missed the memo that it was BEDTIME. But look how dang cute he is...Mr. Big Shot holding his own bottle.

Monday we did hit the Lake with Ray, oh and Isaac went into work so I braved the grocery store(s) with 4 kids. Walmart went great. Aldi DISASTER I wanted to string them up. Seriously climbing on the water bottle displays. They embarrass me. We don't need groceries that bad--I'll wait until Isaac gets home--but we needed Fajita stuff cuz that was the plan, fajitas on the lake. They turned out pretty darn good too!

Then just random fun. A little basketball with his brothers. And leave a set a scriptures around and 2 different kids picked them up--Seriously just snapped both pics, no staging! I loved they were both pointing, too cute. Read on boys!!

We have our share (or more than our share) of brothers brawls but I sure love it when they all play nice together too.
Tuesday we had a little water party with friend at the Potters and that evening Bro Baker took Colt and Cannon to play a little wiffle ball and we worked on getting the slip'n slide going. If was pretty bumpy but once we figured our the pool ring-giddy up. It was dang fun. Wednesday was a ward activity out here in weeding the garden then everyone got to stay and play (slip'n slide zip line pool and so on) Isaac when on the tube (the kids call it a "bouy") Tuesday but Wednesday he could not be slowed down by that!
Oh Tuesday I also made a fantastic last second decision to go play basketball. It was super fun.
Cannon and Daxton got to see each other and play at the Potter and wanted to hang out more so we had Dax over on Wednesday. He really is a sweet kid and did a great job of caring about the younger boys too. His mom-I LOVE HER! But her house A: brand new B: CLEAN!!!!! It was hilarious, the boys come stomping through after slip'n sliding feet wet and muddy grass all over them Dax was like "I'll wait here on the porch." I just laughed and said "Thank you, you're a sweet heart, but come on in, we'll deal with it later." Oh I was helping them in the "tree house" but I needed someone to hold Seth and he said "My hand are so dirty." Ummm not a problem here buddy! Anyway he had a great time though and even said "I wish I lived here." Wait, WHAAAAT? I wish I lived at his house. Its all about perspective right? And it was a nice reminder-we live in little boy heaven!!!! I knew it wasn't my dream house going in. But its perfect for my 4 little boys and 1 big one! Oh and I feel like I can post everything I hate about our house on the farmhouse blog as like as I include that Dax said he wished he lived here. That's fair right? hahaha
Thursday we hung out with the Baker kids.

Somehow I don't know if I blogged about the bow--but Cannon and his dad went in on one. ;)

And today we met some friends at the park for a sweltering little play date then went down to Saige's little birthday party this afternoon. The kids had a blast! Cupcakes. Water. AND a Pinata, it was a good time!
I know there's more but that's all I can remember for now so good enough.
Oh we decided this afternoon to go to Nauvoo tomorrow-which will be great but I tell you, we stay busy! I really think we are having a fantastic summer though. So fun!
