Ha ha he'd kill me for that post title...and for this picture! Actually when he finds out I'm going to have to change it...and hopefully he'll forgive me ;)
And technically its not true-until December when his graduation posts. But he's done. So proud of him.
So the week:
Saturday Cannon and Isaac went over to Bishops to help get ready for the ward shin dig out there-I mean, can you imagine if the whole primary was in that mud hole I posted pictures of last week. Yikes. Really Bishop had most of it done but they had a good time helping. Colt and I stayed behind and I took Colt to his favorite place-HyVee. We wandered all over that store him pushing his little cart and all we ended up with was pickles for dads lunches. And yes that coat is for real-it was in the 40's that morning. It warmed up and was nice but ole Colt man doesn't like to be cold! He says "I told, I told." And rubs his little arms. So we bundled up!

It was actually really hard on Colt to have Cannon gone all morning. He asked and asked about about him. Poor little brother. While "helping" at Bishops Cannon made a best friend. That night when we went back to the ward party Cannon wouldn't let Bishop out of his sight. (I should have made a collage out of these pics but oh well.) He was so funny about it, he couldn't care less about where Isaac or I was it was "where's bishop?" all night. And he's no dummy, I mean he knows who owns the tractors and the dump truck and who to hang with...it landed him the chance to drive for the "hay ride" which didn't involve hay at all, but still.
Bishop stopped to tell us all about soy beans (the crop they rotate with corn for anyone -like me- who didn't know that) anyway that last picture was perfect all the kids checking out the beans, Cannon not about to get that far away from Bishop.
And about that dump truck I mentioned that Bishop had...Isaac came home all excited about it. "Honey, it looks rough but it fires right up! That's the kind of equipment we're going to own!" Haha of course it is! (I don't know equipment but it didn't really look that bad to me) so this week we've turned the corner from boats to equipment...always something.
I think this next picture must have been Monday but it made the blog because I told the boys to go get dressed and they both came out with swimming suits on! Totally their dad's kids! We didn't go swimming, remember that coat picture was only 2 days before, but I told them they could wear'm and we'd keep our eyes out for some puddles.
And cupcakes...Colt got one for eating all his lunch...Cannon wheeled and dealed with him to get a bite of Colt's after he took a bite of his soup. Every bite. I did not agree to this deal. Sometimes I'm under the false impression that I get to make the rules. Not true!
Tuesday Morning we did preschool here then got ready to head to Mississippi. Here the boys are all piled in their car seats ready to go-at 3:30,
Isaac didn't even get off until 5:00. They were very excited to go! (Actually, we rolled back in at 4:00 am this morning and by noon Cannon was asking to go again. NO. Yes someday but NO not yet!)

Driving through the night. Brutal as usual. It was wild though, when we got into Jackson (ok more Brandon/Pearl) it just felt like we were home. I've always felt that way when we go back to Utah, but I didn't know I could or would feel that way about more than one place. It tugged at my heart a little, that's for sure. We had friends that offered to let us stay with them but they boys favorite thing is staying in a hotel, and we were getting into town so early we just did the hotel thing. When we saw the Turner's Layne looked me right in the eye and said "You know you're welcome ANY time." And I do know it, it was sweet of them. We end up doing the Hotel thing though, Isaac's requirement was early check-in. Cannon's requirement was a "hot pool" ...should've went to the Turners-they have both, and on the right side of town. But we found a place in Clinton and it worked out for Isaac to have a nap while I took the boys swimming at 6 in the morning. The biggest pain was it was 20 minutes the wrong direction from everything we know and love. But oh well it all worked out. They were supposed to have a room with 2 queen beds but it turned out they didn't...but they had one with a Jacuzzi tub in the room. The boys were in heaven. This pic is from the morning after Isaac defended his dissertation (he certainly didn't relax that much before!) The hot tub and Cartoons on in the corner! Love'n life. Then all the sudden Isaac remembered he had a meeting at 10 and it was a mad dash to get packed up and out of there.

Anyway Wednesday we did a little play group with some gals in the ward at the Love's house. So fun to see friends! Then ran a couple errands for Isaac and headed back to the hotel for naps. He defended at 3:00 and "It went good." That was about all we got out of him. But translation, he passed!!!!!!!! He's done. That evening we went to the church, it was just so great to see everyone. I loved it! Isaac and Brother Blalock actually just got released last week but that meant Bro Blalock wasn't at the church on Wed night, we did see Ginger and the kids though and told her we'd sneak up to the house and say Hi! So After the church we went there, then thankfully the Turners are night owls and we stopped by to see them. It ended up being kind of a late night but I loved every second of it! We had to maximize our few hours in town!! We saw so many great friends but we also missed so many, I just keep thinking of people we know and love and stops we would have wanted to make but...we did the best we can and hopefully we'll have more time next time! I said last week I wanted to shop, seriously did not step foot in a single store, not worth it! I just wanted to to see people. (...Maybe in the process I realized I really haven't made any friends in Kirksville yet...oh well it takes time, it certainly didn't happen over night in Mississippi...)
Thursday rushed Isaac to his meeting then ran into Brandon to say Hi to Stacey then drove back to give Isaac the car then he drove us back to the bounce house place (I think we drove back and forth on that little stretch of I-20 a hundred times in the few hours we were in town! But so worth it.) Jenna and the kids drove up Biloxi and we met up at the trusty old bounce house. The kids were in Heaven...and so were the moms! It was just so good to see them. I was telling Isaac how much fun we had and he said "Maybe we need to start looking for her husband a job in Missouri." I'm game! And hey, its half way to Canada-her folks would be sold. Her husband might be a little tougher sell... But the kids were SO CUTE! Cannon and Rylee were like long lost best friends. They played so hard and Jenna and I just yacked our little hearts out. Things ended up taking a long time for Isaac, so we got to play for a long time-it was great. They were headed to Meridian afterward but weren't in a hurry so we just kept playing and loving it until Isaac got done.
Its really hard to get cute pictures when they're constantly going 100mph
Cannon might have mini golf confused with the driving range!
Jenna actually ran up ahead and got a cute picture like this from the front I just need to steal it of FB
It ended up being a fun day! Happy Birthday to me, my husband it done with school! Wahoo!!! And we got to spend the day with great friends! He also gave me a sweet necklace that I need to get a picture of. We had this missionary in Mississippi who was from Montana but she always wore a necklace with the outline of Montana on it. I loved it and I decided I wanted one of Utah, but with St. George marked. So Isaac had Ky make it for me for my birthday! I really like it. I always give him a hard time about not being a gift guy-giving or receiving- but he's come a long way! It was really sweet of him.
And this last one I had to throw on there because I send the blog to my missionary friends and I wanted Courtney to see it. Cannon wrote "COACO" and said "What does that say mom?" I said well if you change the last letter to an H it will say coach-and you can send a picture to him." So he did! Look at that smirk, so proud of himself! And of course Colt held his board up and said he wrote coach too--or rather "I wry toe too I wry toe too"
Good days.
Hoping to get back on a normal sleeping patter soon!!!!
