Oh man, it’s Friday night and I have Internet, I have to blog right?!?! Internet is because we’re in Utah! Wahoo!!! It’s been way too long. We came last Thanksgiving but that was 7 months ago. We are lucky and grateful for Grandparents who have made a combined 5 trips to see us in those 7 months. It is hard to live so far away, but it has it blessings too-not the least of which is our proximity to Nauvoo. Yahoo Nauvoo, we love it there.
Saturday I had a meeting so we made a temple trip out of it and swapped with our sweet friends the Moody’s, we love them!
As we were getting out the door Isaac asked if I had his clothes, I said no I hate being responsible for them...but for some reason agreed to grab them anyway. Well when I grabbed his suit jacket I thought pants were on the same hanger-but didn't check. So we got to Nauvoo with out any dress pants for Isaac. Luckily the Moody's went too and Josh let Isaac barrow his pants...only about 6 inches too short. Ha ha. (I did take him black sock just for the record) it was silly but we were glad he could pull it off as he was able to do a family name for a sister in our ward. That was pretty cool.
Sunday was Father’s Day
And apparently living 2 miles outside of town is two miles too far on Sunday...they were all awake when I turned off the bypass...at any rate nap time was thwarted! None of them stayed asleep.
I been trying to take a few more random house pictures. I want to do a separate house blog where I can tell my stories...I'm working on it. This is Monday...or Saturday, I can't remember but it was in the day when Isaac was working on the sink...as opposed to that night when he stayed up working on it again because there was a big puddle on the floor. I think it is fixed now but--I don't know, we left. I do feel like there's always a story to tell though.
Good thing nothing rattles Isaac.
I also took a picture of the mess, A: for the house blog and B: to show Grama and make sure she knows of course she is always welcome...just heads up, this is what you're coming too. Originally I posted it here but then thought better of it. Its going to make the other blog.
Monday the boys mowed up over the cellar. But really this picture just reminds me to document I've had my first run in with Chiggers. AHHHH. Death! Nasty little suckers. We bought that mower last Thursday and I ran it with the boys a little and it was a blast. I had a great time. When I was done Isaac asked me if I wanted to go rinse off because the thing does a good job but dang it throws stuff everywhere! Anyway, I was a mess but I just shrugged and said "no, we're going to Cannon's baseball came in a few minutes anyway, I just wait until we get home." And I brushed off a little with my hands. Mistake! The little suckers set up Camp and FEASTED on me. Today I'm a full 8 days later and the dangs things still itch. Not as bad but plenty bad. The rashes have cooled down but yikes what a nightmare. They boys had a few bites here and there but they ate me for lunch! According to Dr. Google I could have a whole nuther week of itching. Hopefully I learned my lesson. And speaking of lessons. Cannon came in and asked me to cut his hair Monday, I just laughed and said "It looks like you already did."

WHY???? He's 7! I totally think that is old enough to know better but what's done is done. He stuck Isaac's electric razor on his head. He's been a little more of a hat wearer this week.
Tuesday we headed to St. Louis, we got to meet up with Colt's best buddy from preschool last year and they are kindly babysitting our van. Then the boys had a BLAST in the play area at the airport. Cannon told me the little boy in yellow was his new best friend. I said "Oh cool, what is his name?" He didn't know. We ended up on the same flight and sat right behind him. His name is Dion. Haha
And then we were off, the guy by Tanner was texting. "I got a kid" and then "he's afraid of me" it was hilarious because he was holding his phone out and it was a huge font so...of course I read it. Tan was so cute when we'd go up or down or hit any turbulence he'd reach over and grab my arm. But everything is worth it when we get to see Gram and Grampa!
Wednesday we went over to Uncle Jim and Aunt Celias and he looked at Colts feet for me. He had recommended a board certified podiatrist...uh...we live in Kirksville, so we don't have one of those. There is one in Columbia but we figured we'd just let him take a look and then go from there. Ultimately we decided to just go for a pair of custom orthotics and see how it goes. They are leaving on a mission in 2 weeks but we went for it anyway. The other boys loved watching him cast Colt's feet. Getting to swim in their pool was a bonus. We're spoiled.
And then we had feed yard time. Everyone loves Grampa's Sandbox. Colt didn't come, which was kindof a bummer but he had a good time with one on one Grama time so it all worked out. (Just not as overly documented as where I went.)
Trust TanTan to hook that little calfy up...
Thursday the boys got to take a load of cows up to the auction with Grampa, AND the big boys got to stay up there with Ann and Elsie while Tann got some one on one (or rather 2) time with Grama and Grampa. They took more cows over to Shoal Creek and hit up Marvs. I in the mean time got spoiled with some alone time as was able to do a session at the temple and then just shop my little heart out. I shopped hours and only spent $8 bucks. But it was so nice to walk in and out of stores by myself. Once I knew my folks were back in town I was missing my shopping partner in crime (grama) but mostly I just enjoyed the heck out of being by myself. And that Tanner...he sure likes Grampa! He loves to go with him! (Oh and he started pronouncing "Gam-Pa" and "Gam-ma" this trip. No more mat-a-ma and Pa-a-pa)

And oh the cousin time...notice Grampa in the top left picture of the next collage. The chaos ensues! But the kids are having a blast and making memories so we go for it.

Bottom line, we're having a blast. We miss Isaac but he's staying busy, I've talked to him a lot this trip though, I love that. Really I hate it when its out of sight out of mind so he's done awesome this time!! And we're hoping to put those 6 flags passes to work when we fly back in. Time will tell but that's the plan.
