Today I have tons to do and it’s kind of stressing me out so I decided to talk to text because it will be faster for blogging well...then you have to go back and edit it (it’s pretty hilarious the difference between what the phone thinks I say and what I said)
Here we go though hopefully I can catch all the mistakes
These two goofballs! Total Frien-amies. The play and play and play, and fight and fight and fight. They’re pretty cute and they have Easter on the brain... (hopefully the bunny comes)
I was busy around the house and holding Seth then...Blowout. I had a mess to clean up! Shrug. Just part of the job. So after I took care of the worst of it I set him in the crib and in just a diaper and went to work on the laundry side of things, when I came back little mostly naked man was sporting the ears.
His brothers loved it and giggled and giggled but Seth could only tolerate the nonsense for so long. Ha.
So the week:
Saturday was a Nauvoo perfect day.
We didn’t hurry to get out of town. Only semi worried about packing a cooler (that meant Isaac was game to stop if we needed to π) He stopped in to check on the youth activity. I fed Seth. Oh and he traveled like a champ! We ran into two sister Missionaries who had served in our ward! We love them!!
And when it was time for us to go to the temple another family from our ward pulled up! They also have four little kids so we just traded and watched kids at the park so we could both go to the temple together! It was awesome!
Isaac sleeping on the grass while I was responsible for eight children (9 if we count the big one -Him-) maybe not the best **his nap didn’t last long I had to have his help.
Isaac letting the three-year-old drive on the streets of Nauvoo... also maybe not the best...But I take pictures and then it makes it fun. Come to think of it that’s how I handle stressful situations often. Whatever works.
And Sunday we survived—with help from friends! It was just one of those Sundays! Bath in the sink in the mother’s lounge. Check. I swear each of my kids earn that at least once.
This week at school Colton got to be the star of the week he was pretty excited about it. I started to help him make a poster but he wanted creative independence and hey—he was the star, not me— so he went to town on the posters and I’m pretty sure every picture we’ve ever actually printed up ended up on that bad boy!
It was fun, he got to take toys for show’n tell, and a special star of the week treat. He had a good time.
This week we finally made Tanners $.49 under armour shorts. (Colts pants hat ??? No clue)
I had bought them on clearance when I was ordering some stuff for Basketball. They were really short running shorts but they were under armor and Cannon’s sold Tanner on the name brand stuff π so so we channeled our inner Grama Nette and remade them! They turned out Coltons length and Tanner width. So we rolled them and went with it.
Tuesday we bought a new chair for the living room. It’s a little big but I like it. sometimes the boys still accidentally call it the “red chair” then Tanner corrects them and says “it’s not a red chair it’s a new chair it’s brown!” we moved the other one into our bedroom and I love having it in there!!! probably more than I love the new one! I vetoed a picture of it because the truth is we’ll end up with hundreds right?
Wednesday mowing season officially began. It was a little too windy for Seth so we didn’t last long but we started and it’s it’s Missouri so now we will mow and mow and mow. Verdict: I think correcting talk to text errors takes longer than typing it out. Ug. Talk to text gave me “know and mold and mold” instead of mow and mow and mow. Live and learn I guess.
Thursday Cannon had baseball practice. He Fouled a ball up into his face! It was quite the bloody nose! Poor guy!!
Tonight was the ward spaghetti dinner and virtual temple tour. Isaac might fly by the seat of his pants but he pulled off a great activity! We had lots of help! We didn’t get the “bring a friend” crowd we’d hoped for but it was still a great turn out of ward members and everyone seemed to enjoy it. I’m glad it’s over though too—I get a little stressed. π
Seth buddy pics
I tried to get a picture of how Tanners face lit up when “if you’re gunna play in Texas” came across the car speakers... all week I kept thinking of things that easily could have made the Tanner Tales list. I’m sure his antics will get laced into the stories here on the blog.
When Tanner has the camera pics
And lastly, sometimes it’s rough getting up with Seth—but sometimes I get to see pretty amazing sunrises. Even if the pictures doesn’t do it justice-this was awesome to watch!
Have a great week!
