Last Friday we road the Hiawatha trail! It was pretty fun but pretty long (for little guys) at one point Colt said to me “Mom, I love to ride my bike but when are we done?” And Tann was complaining of a sore butt about one mile in!
But it was beautiful and a fun adventure.

Saturday we hung around and chatted, then went on a walk/bike ride and capped the evening off with an Isaac special! He found the hot springs...we fit right in but his sibling rolling up in their Denali’s. Ha!

He swore the water troughs weren’t in the pics online. Ha! Of course not!

It’s been a while since I’ve laughed that hard!
Here’s a pic Levi snapped-look close its perfect. Me smiling but underlying very concerned, what am I thinking? It’s not my fault...I’m sorry guys...I’m so embarrassed...he was related to you guys before he was related to me...don’t put anything past him...
Maybe all of the above. Him most genuine and happy smile ever! The trailer in the rear view mirrors just a nice bonus!

Everyone was a good sport about it though.

A rainbow and a sunset-who could ask for anything more??

A few pics from the air bnb. Isaac ended up being best friends with the owner-no surprise- he even gifted him the horn from his mission. Sweet! It fit right in.

Cann tagged around with the big kids and these two played for hours!
Sunday we left about 2 our time. Isaac hate traveling on Sunday but I wasn’t game to sit around and get a room in Missoula when we had 22 hours to go. I wanted to at least start the drive...but once we started it
We got home about 2:30 or 3:00. Stayed on the Clark Fork river and pretty much followed the Lewis and Clark trail all the way home! So Isaac looked up a book about them that kept his interest the last few hours of the drive. It was awful. I don’t know why it took an extra 4 hours but I’m telling you we’re programmed for the drive to and from Huntington-extending it is death!
But it is So so so good to be home!!!!
So Good!
When we got close Isaac and I were trying to decide if we’d come home to a new roof partial new roof or none at all I guess partial but here it is!!

They’re technically not quite done but I’m tickled! I love it!!!!
My garden is a weed patch, but we dug around and found a couple peas!

Trying to catch up on mowing is kicking my tail. But other than that things are good. Oh wait we did have some water in the basement at least partially because we currently have no rain gutters but those are on the docket.
The kids and I have hung out with the Pettit’s a few times and Isaacs gone into work but that’s about it.
Seth went to the store with dad. Haha

So so nasty I think this is child abuse but they’re working on getting it going. Gross!

And we did have to bust out the “get along shirt”
Yeah right they should call in the crawl in and kill him shirt!
They survived.
Bout it.

It’s already blog day again and I don’t know how much I’ll get done but we have been gone from home for over 3 weeks now...that’s a long time but we are having a lot of great experiences (and doing a lot of driving)
So the short run down
Saturday Grandma Ison came back and Colt and Tan were excited to show her their motorcycle skills!
Sunday we did home sacrament with her, and went for a little walk/bike ride.
Monday we hit the road for Idaho! First thing turned in to afternoon and that is a long drive but it was so so fun to get to hang out with Brent and Sabrinas family.

We had so much fun in Boise. The driving is too much, we’ve been away from home for too long but the chance to see family Soooo worth it! The kids building  relationships with their cousins is priceless! Plus I totally love hanging out with Sabrina because she just gets Isaac but she also gets that sometimes you just have to shake your head...there is no explanation!!
Oh I almost forgot this first pic, we stopped by Jesses to buy a youth model deer rifle, it was a fiasco took at least an hour and we ended up not even getting it but Grandma Ison pocked it up for us, so...long story they’re all excited about it.

And once we got to Sabrina’s they were in Nerf war heaven!!!

Brent told Cannon about there closet FULL  of nerf guns a few years ago at one of the family reunions Cannons been dying to go ever since! ...and it was no lie!! Totally full!

They had a blast!
We went to a super fun bike park, the Boise River, Megan and Chelsea tended and I got to go on a super fun trail ride with Isaac Cannon Brent Sabrina and Brandon. I felt like a beginner on the intermediate trail but it was beautiful (reminded me of Panguitch) I was nervous and slow as could be because the trail started out with switch backs and I knew ultimately we had to come back down them. Well...I psyched myself out and totally wrecked Sabrina’s bike on the very last turn (the 2nd to last one wasn’t pretty either but it wasn’t a full on wreck either. It was a disaster I was pushing the back break already but went to grab a little front break and grabbed a whole lot of throttle instead! So dumb. Put a hole through Eric’s boot that thankfully I was wearing and a little scrape and BIG OLE bruise on my foot (and ego) all in all I was fortunate. But dang! I did wake up the next morning- after ponding/rehearsing it all night- wanting another crack at it. I thought that was a positive!...and I might need to mow some switchbacks into our yard when I get back!
The pic collection

We ordered Sethy a baby bike seat Tanner helped Isaac put  it together, then just cousin fun!

Thursday we hit the road again for Montana and Today we drove back into Idaho and road the Hiawatha trail.
It was awesome but I’m going to have to play the catch up game again. It’s late and I’m tired!!

More soon! 👍🏻
