Saturday Cannon had baseball, we stuck around for the opening ceremonies but just because I felt like we “should” certainly not because he or I wanted to. That took up the whole morning but I ran into our good friend and neighbor Dennis there watching one of his grandsons and as we were chatting he said the cemetery looked better than he had seen it in years. So Isaac and I drove by at the end of our date (I can’t remember what we did for a date but I know we let a movie babysit the boys and took Addi…oh yeah we picked up some treats and made a little goodie bag for the Moody’s -who are moving in 1 week!- from Bro and Sister Speaks who are gone on their mission so they won’t have a chance to say goodbye) Anyway all that to say the cemetery really did look good and someone had marked the headstones with American flags. It was awesome!
That evening Isaac had a helper washing cars.

Sunday our “date” was to drop the goody bag off and since the Chace’s were outside we swung in and said hi and introduced Addi. We’ve always liked Bro Chace!

Monday I tried to take some one month pics…Addi wasn’t amused!

But since she wasn’t actually one month until Tuesday I wasn’t done trying πŸ˜‰
The boys got to use their bug killers from Mickelle.

And I don’t know who was more excited me or the boys but we finally got to use the new slip’n slide! The kids were excited the advertisement (cuz it’s an old billboard) was an iPhone πŸ™„ silly me paid extra for white on the back but they wanted to slide on the phone!
But it was pretty fun!
Monday  Isaac found an old motorhome to buy…

Tuesday we had the dentist and hung out with the Pettits

I loved getting to chat with Michaila and another friend Emily (Wilson)
The boys swam and we tried again on pictures

Colt rigged up and outside shower

and that evening Isaac bought the motorhome!!!

I’m not sure you can see the extent of Isaacs delight!- or the kids-they we’re all so happy!!!  So I tried to crop it. And below was him messaging his siblings telling them we were going to camp in their driveways-it was hilarious.

I haven’t seen him that happy in a long time so it was good and we were cracking up at a few of the replies…a little disruptive during CFM and scriptures but it was good to laugh! We should more often!

Cann built the model rocket he got for Christmas. We recovered it one time…but not 2. Maybe the more powerful engines weren’t such a good idea…

Hang’n out with our Moody friends!

Match’n jams— and sisters not exactly sold on the bottle thing-gee I wonder why?

Slumber party in the RV (boys only-phew)

Seth “needed” a band-aid for a microscopic cut and this is what he came up with…🀣 and first glance I panicked because I thought he had an ice cream cone in my bedroom-next picture down should explain the panic!

Today Isaac spent ALL day tinkering with the generator on the motorhome… at least he has good help πŸ˜‰

He’s wanted a motorhome our whole married life. I’m just happy he found s good deal didn’t convert a bus into one! I have a lot to be thankful for!
Today I took the kids to the ball field. Addi was a trooper and we really had a great time. I was kinda living my dream-just out playing with my kids.

Then pics from Cannons game. Seth put up with the hug from that little girl for a while then she just wouldn’t stop so he looked up and said “I don’t like this!” It was hilarious and I didn’t blame him.
Summer nights get late on us!
Tired kids-
Tied mom-
But livin the good life!
Until next time!

Friday, June 3, 2022

Its Friday so I should blog, but it’s also we drove through the night so…who know what I’ll get done. I started on the drive though. Ug that’s miserable but we are glad we could go and glad to be back too!
Oh Seth kept saying he was car sick. Translation: he was sick of being in the car 🀣 me too buddy me too! He was pretty cute though as we turned into our gravel road we he said “That was a fun trip to Utah! Thanks for taking us.”
It was fun!
So let’s get back to the recap!
Saturday morning-after LOTS Of cousin time- we took just our little family over to the family history center. Poor Colt wasn’t feeling very good so he had to bail (Grama came and got him) but we had a blast over there and I kinda got the rundown on scheduling the scanners (overrated) but anyway the kids had a really good time with the activities!

Isaac was in a great mood too he would have taken them to do anything but they don’t really get how to play their cards right with him though (sometimes me either) but they threw a fit when he mentioned pizza then whined and complained until we just took them home and we went on a lunch date (a win for me-sorry boys)
Grampa rode Sat but that meant he had some cows for Seth the help feed that afternoon! Seth took that pretty serious and was happy to help!

Even Sister made her first trip to Grampa sandbox (aka the corrals) and side note look at that pegboard behind me in his conex…I won’t take a picture of ours downstairs-unless I get it looking like that!

That evening Uncle Steve and Aunt Asher stopped by it was super fun to see them!! And later we snuck out on a little motorcycle Walmart run date! 2 dates in 1 day!!! This was when we stopped and he was doing pump company stuff, but look at his grin he really was happy.

Grama made cinnamon rolls for breakfast πŸ˜‹ yum!!! And Isaac and I zoomed our wards meetings.
They had just put the angel moroni on the new Red Cliffs temple and Grama and Grampa have super late church so after our zoom we loaded up and drove by both temple before church.

Klint’s family came over for dinner and Grama dug in her cedar chest looking for my old blessing dress so we could make a plan on Adalyn’s. Oh my goodness-we got some good laughs out of the loot of treasure (and junk) she had in there!
We threw some things away. And posted some pics to family search and threw more away! But it was fun.

By time their church is over it felt like the day was over. Isaac did go help my dad feed (cuz Seth wanted to) and he did get a little -late-power nap in but ultimately he had passed  his day and a half St George (or tune with in-laws or whatever) limit. And he decided he was going back north. Which was fine -probably better for both of us I just would like a plan. As it was Monday he was like hey you wanted me to tend so you could go shopping with your mom so go now so I can leave. I of course refused to go “have fun” on demand but we did go over to the family history center. (I probably should have lied and told them that I had used the scanners before because the senior missionary that was helping me…let’s just say I’m probably a little more computer savvy than he was. and I’m pretty confident he had never use the scanners either! Good heavens it was a disaster until he turned me loose.)  The big boys went over the hill with Grampa (and had a blast…ok Colt should have had shoes instead of sandals but other than that)

And Seth and Isaac hung out AND HAD NAPS! Seth’s idea!!!
But Isaacs magic, I swear that’s never what Seth has in mind with me!

Anyway then Isaac took off, the boys played outside and the neighbors dog came to play with them. The dog is a tease and they were having a heck of a time catching her-it was actually really cute the boys came running in the house to recruit Cannon to help! But after the caught them dog Jen (the neighbor) invited them over to go swimming, that was a win! First we slipped up to see Aunt Charmaine and Cindy and that was fun little visit and I got all the letters Cindy had typed that my a great grandpa Frei wrote my great grandma while he was in France during WWI. I’m excited now I just need to upload them to family search!

Even Addi stuck her toes in…she wasn’t so sure. Maybe that what she was telling Grampa about.

I got this pic from Isaac in the middle of the night so it was awesome that he went up to to Huntington because he got a ton done! The white is all new drywall that needed to be done since they had tore it out after Grandmas house flooded. After that he went up to Tooele to mess around with his pump company.

We went over to Aunt Celia’s and Uncle Jim checked out orthotics for us and we swam and had a great visit.

Just me and Grama torturing Addi-a cute pic, then how she really felt about itπŸ˜‚ oh and we had to cut the feet out of those tiny newborn jammed 🀣 it’s cuz Grama got her dressed and didn’t know where the biggest ones were. See ya later cherries-those are in the garbage now. And the next size up-aren’t any too big!

Catching lizards…and making them “a home” out of the garbage 🀦🏼‍♀️ And one more trip to the neighbors before we headed for Huntington.

That drive was a little rough. But we made it!
Sisters first ever shower was a cold one. Yikes. She’d puked all over both of us so I was just going to rinse her off with me but we were standing there waiting for the water to get warm -it wasn’t- and she peed all over both of us. The water was “luke cold” and we would have bailed if we’d known the water heater was turned off but at the point she peed on us we needed washed off so we just went for it. It was not fun! Just a rinse for her and I handed her to Isaac but yikes! Thankfully Isaac got the water heater reset or there’s no way the boys would have showered and it was dusty on the side by side ride!
Anyway.
The boys loved playing with Aliyah! And it’s always fun to chat with Shawn and Lauren.
I totally wish I had a picture -or movie- of how this axel ended up like this…

Oh my heck it was an Isaac special! (I said an Ison special but then I looked at Shawn and decided that wasn’t very fair to him-ha) but Isaac wasn’t happy with how one of the tires was rubbing so he was going to bend the axel “a little” he had a jack in the middle where his hand is and him and Shawn up on top jumping on the count of 3. It was hilarious and even funnier when he crawled underneath and saw just how much it had bent. “Crapola” I made a run for my phone to document it. It made for a little extra work getting ready to go but we still hauled the Harley home on that trailer! Maybe angels floated along side us…we’ll take it!
A little side by side fun

And Sadie is Addi’s closest cousin in age—and she’s totally hooked us up with all kinds of cute hand me downs 😊 and Addi has big hands!

More fun with Aliyah

I think that’s it as far as pics.
Of course there’s more stories.
Like I let the kids buy nerf guns at the DI (I’m an idiot we’ve made this mistake before…how many times??? But they get so excited and promise not to fight and life is about second -and hundredth-chances right??? No I’m just an idiot) but Tanners actually came with bullets and he (accidentally per the story I heard) shot Colt in the eye so he screamed bloody murder so Isaac threw all of the guns on the concrete to break them then into the trash. Cannon was a wreck so upset he lost his guns when not involved, Tanner was a mess screaming that he hated himself and his dad. Colt was just a mess cuz he’d been shot in the eye. I think Seth was just screaming to scream and he was upset he lost his gun too. Disaster city!
But we survived…and didn’t have to bring nerf guns home so that was good. Probably need to handle things  differently but whatever.
Then a long long drive
Cannon had baseball tonight. We opted for divide and conquer after a sleep sitting up in the car night and Tanner was (miraculously) napping. I chose which I did but then I told Isaac he got the better end of the deal only having 1 kid! I got mostly unpacked and got the laundry started though so I win!
