Not a single pic from Saturday…but we got away with 2 wins at basketball so I’ll take it.
We got there and the kid we’ve been waiting on so we’d have our full team walked in. I was surprised since I hadn’t seen him at practice or heard anything but I had his uniform with me and said “Are you playing with us?” And he said “no” he was on the other team! What the heck? In his defense Tanner had told me Lee was playing on coach Funk’s team but I was like no that’s just for YMCA ball (because that was the last I’d heard…I didn’t know Coach Funk did a team that played up to Schuyler Co) but it was what it was. They only had 4 players so we only played with 4 until their 5th guy got there. Lee scored the games first basket…so we went down 2-0. And that was the last time they scored! We took it to’m. And I did call the dogs off—which was new for my kids. When they have a break away layup and I’m screaming at them to stop they were like what? Why? But whatever I just don’t see any need to beat kids that we go to school with by 40…but we could’ve…probably 50 they had no subs and were pretty tired. But then again—don’t steal my players.
And the second game was the team we lost to by 2 the other week, well this time we we up by 8 or so and let them make it a 2 point game but we hung on and won. That team is a good match for us—we’ll see them again (and I have a few tricks up my sleeve for when we do…)
Other than that I don’t know what we did Saturday…oh we cleaned the church while Isaac was off on some other service project. It reminded me a little of when he was bishop and he was off serving while I was dealing with one meltdown (or fight) after another.
That night the youth activity got canceled out of an “abundance of caution” maybe the projected weather in other areas of the stake was bad cuz ours was nothing! But the boys ended up watching Elder Uchdorf’s broadcast down at bishops and then doing karaoke๐Ÿ˜ณ I didn’t tell them that’s what was planned just that the had to stay for the broadcast, I was so surprised they stayed!! I guess the got all the young men to sing “the grinch” together, but that was tbe extent of their participation.
Sunday was exciting because Colt got to pass the sacrament! He was worried about little mistakes like moving on before they put the cup back so he kinda had to go back and I think Cannon told him he was holding the tray too high, but I thought he did great! There’s a bit of a learning curve with everything. It was pretty weird having such an empty bench the first part of the mtg (Isaac conducted some stake business too so he joined us sooner than the boys but wasn’t there at the start either) I like  early church but it was an adjustment! Especially with them wanting the youth their 20 minutes early. Isaac and Cannon had an “ministering blitz” after so this go around we took two cars…they didn’t leave until they were supposed to be there and we “right behind” them barely made it before the meeting started. Yikes. I hate being late—or even close to it! We’ll have to figure it out! I was super grateful the ministering “blitz” was a good experience for Cann!! Safe to say he wasn’t thrilled about it initially. But he said “yeah-they were glad I came too”
Isaac had meetings with the area authority down in Moberly all afternoon. We survived.
The laser guns Santa brought Tanner have been kinda a bust…but if I play with them they get used—so I did!

I hope this girl learns to love the scriptures as much as she loves marking them now! One of the brothers left these in the van and she found them (and marked them up) while we were waiting to pick up Monday!

Dad had a foam project in the basement this is the only picture I have but…him spraying foam all over downstairs… let’s just say it didn’t go on as neat and tidy as that YouTube video we watched๐Ÿ˜ณ
But between the foundation in the house, you really could feel the wind blowing in so hopefully it will help keep this place warmer.

Speaking of wind, our house is so cold when it’s windy and it’s been blowing like crazy today!! The Farmhouse!!-I love it and hate it. ๐Ÿคท‍♀️
Not sure what this is…maybe the teasing really does go both ways…
Some static fun:

Towers towers and more towers…the cushions are never on my couches.

Leftover noodles and yogurt…not much of a lunch date—but she called it one so we text dad and told him he was missing out. (At least I usually get LaFuente when he’s involved ๐Ÿ˜‰)
Bout it.
I need to make a movie but I need to clean some pictures off my phone (or pay for more storage ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป) first…hmmm.

Oh boy…Isaac trying to decide if he should take that horse back
Holy cow.
The sucker cribs on everything!

We started out cleaning the church Saturday…but as we got there we also got an email that church was canceled because of the coming storm. So…we still cleaned but…hopefully it will still be good when we go down tomorrow. Were assigned 2 weeks then we’re supposed to get 6 months off…๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

You can look at the horse riders and see how much snow we had…

She’s partial to Enzo-real and the toy.

Not sure about this beauty shop.

We did get a little snow.

Wrestling…Addi gets in on it but …dad wins!

Don’t mind the mess ๐Ÿ˜ฉ  but the magna tiles never last long so they try to hurry and take a picture of what they’ve built.  I’ve got a ton of these on my phone.

Monday the teachers had school but not the kids so we played at the church for a bit then swung in to Aldi to grab bread so I’d have it for lunch sandwiches. But it was closed so we went to Walmart.

Storm panic is no joke around here. It wasn’t even bad. But I guess sometimes it is? Or maybe these people really couldn’t make bread if they needed to. ๐Ÿคท‍♀️
We went home and played in the snow.

Tuesday it was back to school!
But we busted out the skies as soon as we got home!
This was about as good as it got for sis…but she’d run down the hill just to get to ride back up with Cannon on his little “Taxi”

We had a great time though and skied until the sun was down (I should e started dinner sooner but live and learn…so I did that Wednesday)
We went to dad’s work to steal some internet. Addi packed some toys for the trip. Then I watched Julie Fielding’s funeral on YouTube. She had a great impact on so many people. It’s kinda mind blowing that’s she’s gone. But happy for her!!!

Wednesday after school at first only Seth wanted to ski so after one run I put on skis and went with him but after Cannon spoiled us with his taxi service walking up just wasn’t much fun. So a couple runs later I started driving the four wheeler and Tanner and Addi joined us. We went until dark again! (But dinner was in the oven with the automatic timer set)

Bout it.

New Toys New Year New Deacon New Horse…

Cannon and Tanner got orbi guns for Christmas, Colt and Seth picked other things but decided they were missing out so they bought their own. Saturdays highlight was when the new gun arrived!
The ammo was ready

Waiting…delivery car spotted

Finally!

And…from there who knows. I think they had fun!
Sunday morning we had to get to church a little early as both the boys got new callings in their respective quorum presidencies.
I didn’t do singing time because we had a council mtg with the bishopric and other parents of youth.
I can’t remember much else.
These two have to check on their buddy before they even get their clothes changed!

We made some pretty tasty orange rolls—Colt figured if you’re going to go to that much work you might as well end up with cinnamon rolls. ๐Ÿคฃ ha!

No sure when Seth was Kirk’s kid but I found this in his backpack…hmm good job buddy! (Not sure what the hat is supposed to be…)

Hat on, boots ready-this girls all ready to go get a new horse.

Well old horse, and that’s what they did New Year’s Day. Happy 2025 Meet Moose!
Look at Isaac’s face…I guess that’s why I give in. He’s so dang happy.
The horse is so chill that he’s grow’n on me but wow-my first comment might have been something about his looks. Enzo is a pretty horse…this one…we got this one cuz the kids can ride him.
But look how tall and skinny-maybe they’re a perfect match...
And I guess he’s “gray” but he looks white to me so I thought we should call him George Washington’s white horse—so his name is Moose but when I can’t remember I just call him George—I’m a nickname kinda gal.
So George, Moose, whatever. This horse.

They all went except Tan but even he was pretty excited.

They didn’t decide to go for it soon enough so I knew they wouldn’t get back in time for when we’d coordinated with the counselor in the Bishopric for Colts priesthood ordination. So I was shuffling things around, but still supposed to run the boys down to their activity when they got home but Seth found my flat tire.
UG!

So they were late but we aired it up and I dropped them off then dropped the van at Walmart and Isaac picked me up. Being down to one vehicle even for just the afternoon was kindof a nightmare (we took his car over to have a new alternator put in)  But we survived and did the ordination at the end of the activity.

Then we had his temple recommend in hand and busted it home because the missionaries were coming (we beat them by maybe 5 min) I hadn’t signed up to feed them but volunteered for someone else who was sick before the horse thing became a reality. So it was a little crazy! I had most of dinner done before I ever took the boys down to the church but came home and scrambled to finish up preparations while Isaac took a tire back to Walmart because for whatever lame excuse (they always have one on those stupid road hazard warranties) they couldn’t fix the one on it.
Anyway.
We got the missionaries fed and we got the van picked up before they closed so we could head for the temple the next morning!
(Horse’n around during CFM)

Then Thursday!
15 years!! Eternity to go!
We did head for the temple. Got out the door only 9 minutes later than I wanted. (Which is pretty good for us.)
Then Isaac got a speeding ticket in the drive ☹️
But we made it!
And even though you’re supposed to be at least 18 to tend kids in the arrival center…we left Cann (and paw patrol) tending (I’m not a rule breaker so I was going to just leave them in the van-heater on-screens a blaze’n but Cannon was like “what? Why can’t we just go in the arrival center?”…and so I said fine—no one was there anyway!

I swapped Cann out.

And Colt was going to be a witness while Cann was baptized so he had to switch back into whites (I know they don’t do that at all temples but they do in Nauvoo) but it was awesome because he got to go again too! And he loved it! And the message with the assistant temple matron in the chapel was awesome and they said the second one was too. It was just a neat experience!
We touched the temple by the old baptistery entrance because we knew our brothers and dad were just right there!
And then we went around to our old trusty spot too!

And checked out the nativity

But by then we were freezing and headed back to the arrival center.
Where we did a fair amount of goofing around.
When they got back we’d been playing hide and seek but got totally distracted with the great hiding spot of inside the lockers…then everyone tried…they got pretty close!

We we got back the were eager to climb on that new (old) horse!

And today Isaac picked up a trailer he’d bought (not a horse trailer but that probably should be next-so far we’ve just borrowed Bishop Sorhus’s) and a new (old) saddle—they were eager to try it too!

Tan and I had basketball today. So once again it was screens for babysitters. Ug I hate that but it’s dang cold out (supposed to get snow this weekend) so oh well.
Sometimes they do Non-screen entertainment ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Bout it.
