The weeks are going fast!!
He's in summer project mode. I don't like having dust all over but I LOVE IT when project mode is clean out mode!!! They've been kicking tail on cleaning out those barns!
Summer fun!

Tanner has worn is big brother band since the day Seth was born. He was not a happy camper when it finally broke off...how I got the pic with a grin??? No idea, he wasn't happy about it and told me if he didn't have it, then he wasn't a big brother. Ha. We teased him about wearing it to kindergarten and I'm pretty sure that was his plan. I told him he could ask Sister Barker (our friend who is a L&D nurse) if she could get him a new one but when we saw her on the 4th he couldn't remember, phew! And I wasn't going to do it!!

Isaac was determined for us to get to go on a little date-never happens and its worse out here because we're not going to drive into town to get a babysitter and bring them back then us go back into town and then come back and then have to take the babysitter home. 3 trips to town...it just doesn't happen. Ok so we'll take Seth and go for a walk. YEAH RIGHT, they were ridiculous. They were supposed to at least stay at the mailbox while we walked--only as far as the neighbors. So here you have documentation of our 200 yard...maybe maybe only 100 yard, date. And by time we turned around they were 1/2 way to us. As we were all walking up the driveway. Well actually we were arguing weather or not that ridiculous ladder at the bottom of our driveway was safe or not...happy ending to the date right? (Pretty sure you can guess who was on which side of that argument.) But all the sudden Isaac turned and said "Oh dang" and I looked up and scrambled for my phone. His pet skunk friend came back a brought the whole family. I took pics then headed for the house (hoping/praying they didn't get sprayed) they watched them walk clear back to the barn. I guess we can be thankful Belle wasn't around...
For the 4th we had a great time and the Beals backyard bash. So fun. Isaac wondered if we should have done something ourselves where we invited people who may be a little more on the margins. I said well that's why we were slow to commit to going...maybe he'll want to do something different next year but it was so fun to see so many friends, especially those in the other ward (most people there) who we don't get to visit with as much.
Tanner did his anti social thing where he stayed in the car, several people invited him to join the party, we took pictures of the dog, the bounce house (orange his favorite...not all orange so he didn't like it. Oh....this kid) Anyway I can't remember why he FINALLY stepped out of the car but once he did we took a picture of him by each of the flags leading down the the backyard because they matched his flag shirt. Once down there he had a great time. The big boys had a great time the whole time. They had rockets they were launching, basketball, bubbles, friends-tons of friends, fireworks, it really was super fun!!
The boys got to go hang out with the Bryant boys Tuesday-they had a blast! (and Sherrida cut my hair when I picked them up. YAY so glad they moved here!!!)  Then we treated them to a little farmhouse fun tonight!
Dollar jobs are in session! Really they only did one this week but it was awesome!! I want them to do more. I paid up--they're not really into the delayed gratification thing...its good for them though.

Cannon LOVES to help if it involves a power tool. His dad let him weed eat, and he's been getting to drive the mower a little. That's Isaac's thing though, I make them help ME!
Cannon also LOVES to play with Seth, he's not always very careful with him. That part usually gets me upset pretty quickly, but he's just an 8 year old little boy--having fun with his brother, its pretty cute. What would you call this? Dress Up?...maybe big brother style.  Cute enough I take picsπŸ˜‰

I'm not sure who took this next picture but there were about 85 of them on my phone....thanks guys. Then just playing on the tramp.
Until next time...

4 months for Seth and Another Summer week

We stay up to late and play to hard but oh well! It’s a pretty good life.
Last weekend we met some friends at the beach and had a great time, I left my phone in the van so no picture evidence. But our friend and neighbor Jagar was there so he talked Isaac into a spin on the kyack and the later came a picked anyone that wanted up for a boat tour. It was great, he’s such a nice guy...and I got some evidence!

We had a good time.
Kids are always teach’n us stuff right?
This little Sethy, he’s so fun! He smiles whenever, he sees me and it brightens my day no matter what! So I told Isaac I was going to smile more (and it’s a good thing he didn’t remind me of that when he came late and I had dinner ready and he said “oh I already ate”)
but whatever right?  Sethy’s just dang cute and fun right now! (And the part of Colts grin that shows is pretty cute too)
Sunday Cannon wore a Mohawk to church -100% did it because I didn’t like it, whatever not a battle worth fighting- he got tons of compliments πŸ™„ come on people, you’re killing me. Colt wanted in on it that afternoon.
Monday Isaac had himself a pool cleaning project, so gross! He says it’s not different that swimming in a lake but I just think it’s super nasty, it really was back to blue 2-3 hours after he put the chemical in it, but yikes, nobody had been back in it though!
We get a lot of outside time here but one of the best things we did was meet some friends at the park! We were running other errands when they text so we were already “in town” and decided the grocery store could wait! It was really fun, so much so that we did it the next two days too!
One of the days this week Isaac talked the boys into taking a nap so the could go raccoon hunting with him...oh wait the first time he did it the “nap” was starting at 8:30pm -still light so of course we were still up- but the boys thought he was going to come wake them up in a 1/2 hour he “thought” they were going to come wake him up...one of them did—-6 hours later at 2:30 Cannon comes in our room I heard him and questioned what was going on? He was like “dad Dad, we gotta go coon hunting” Isaac groggily tells him the too late-raccoons had already gone to bed. So the next night they really did have hour long naps in the late afternoon (I woke Cannon and let him take care of the rest.) So the could go raccoon hunting. They did. I think Colt and Tanner stayed in the truck...whatever, they had fun but no pics so the next night when Isaac came home from YM to a beautiful sunset, they took their bag of microwave popcorn out to look at it and that turned into sleeping on the tramp. Which didn’t last but hey were nuthing without a little adventure around here. Isaac was the first one in-about 2:30 Cannon shortly after, Tan made it until around 4 and Colt until probably 5.

We finished up baseball...I hope Cannon will keep at it and maybe let me help him a little. His form needs help, but he loves playing so that’s good.
Probably the best thing we did was take the Kiwanis club (the sponsors) a little thank you note, we made a little “baseball card” of all his teammates and gave them one and put one on the card. It was a good little project.

Today we went slipping sliding before the “severe thunderstorms hit”
I wasn’t planning on it but I even got in on it and I was pretty darn fun. Mr Fun dad was working so...somebody had to show’m how it's done πŸ˜‰
That’s pretty much the wrap. Isaac helped with people moving tonight and will again tomorrow.
Here’s some more of cutie Seth, I think his brothers like him!

And...
Goggles to Walmart??? Sure Tan-not worth the fight!!!

Last Saturday we headed for the stake service day. Most of the service opportunities got rained out but we’d signed up for the kids to be in the primary choir that sang at the old folks home. We got there late, the kids wouldn’t really even join in, sang one song and it was over. Uhhhh bummer. But then we stayed and mingled with the residents and after picked up trash and such outside. The boys scrapped some wood panneling a little so it would be ready to paint...

By far my favorite part was getting to visit with friends from different wards in our stake. Isaac has priesthood mtgs after so I brought the boys home and he caught a ride with Bro Moody. We brought Cohen home with us and getting to have him come play was s highlight for all 3 of the older boys so that was awesome!

That night Cannon wanted to take the canoe out since Isaac is also just a little boy that wants to have fun we went for it. I was a nervous wreck than dang wobbling thing, the boys making it wobble with every move and me clinging to Seth—nervous wreck! I know I already said that once but it’s true! I had my life jacket and I’m sure I could’ve held him up but I will be purchasing an infant life jacket! Poor kids still hates water anyway!

Sunday morning was awful! Thankfully I can’t remember why but it was bad! Then Isaac was conducting and said something about how happy it makes him each person that was there...something. I thought “you have no idea—we should have stayed home and ...avoided the war” but we fought through it and survived, and I’m sure we’re better for it.
Sunday night we invited Bro Beckett over (with the slightest bit of warning I would have made more food so it didn’t look like such a skimpy meal but....oh well). The boys talked him into playing battle boys after!  And he’s been here 2 years for med school but we just realized a little Santa Clara connection with his aunt. Sometimes It’s a small world.

Then the Bakers came over and on Monday we went to their house for FHE, the activity was whiffle ball and it was super fun. Especially to see Cannon swing it and NOT be afraid of the ball!!! Colt? I was so happy he would even try and hey great hit buddy... should’ve see it!!

Coming home we had to stop dead in the middle of the road because Isaac spotted a snapping turtle.

Tuesday I went to little girls night the boys went to Novinger for baseball then on a little service errand. We both got back super late but Seth and I enjoyed every second of our break! Isaac couldn’t believe I was gone that long just going out to eat. Silly guy!
Wednesday baseball got rained out they made it up Thursday. I took TONS of pictures but none on my phone. So maybe I’ll get it on the blog maybe not. Today we slipped over to Nauvoo for a quick little temple trip. And tonight  the Cub Scouts went roller skating and families were invited to join in. I had a great time chatting with my first ward friends!
AND the biggest news of the week is the little Seth man can roll!!! I set him down in the living room and came back and he’d flipped right over!!! So we spent the rest of the morning trying to get him to do it again!
I have a couple more movies but that’s the shortestπŸ˜‰
Other shenanigans...

Somebody remind him the Warriors lost.

Oh I am so glad I took the above pic! I almost forgot this, they were playing “auction” and it was HILARIOUS! Cannon (always the boss but I did hear Colt getting a turn later in the day) was the auctioneer and talking as fast as he could, the only words I could make out were “thousand” and “sold” so funny. One time I was up there and the price was going down. I told him that wasn’t how it worked and he taught me yes it was! If no one is bidding the price actually drops. See the things I learn.
Those cards are still pretty entertaining on rainy days (we had a screen free week πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ» I love it! just be kids!!)

So cooperative for the twin shirt pics.
We found some wild raspberries in the yard. Pretty cool huh?

I just think my little Seth-a-roo is so stink’n cute when he sleeps!! And last but not least it’s still project land around here.

Until next week...
