This 🤬 mouse house...I mean Happy Thanksgiving.

Oh man this should be a happy post but when I start and Isaac’s found the stink’n dead mice and he’s hauling them out...and I saw a live one in the house this week. Ahhhhhhh why do we live here?????? And I hate cats I don’t want a cat! But crud—I don’t want rodent animals in my house either! If I remember right I’ve never really blogged about the mice before well it’s like admitting it’s real. I hate it!
So about this week and how much we have to be thankful for...
Pictures! I’m thankful for pictures I love them  and  I took about 500 this week so I’ll try to cut it down!
Saturday they put the tree up. And Cannon even talked Isaac into some outside lights. Oh and they had a blowup museum inside.
It’s crazy, but they have so much fun I just shrug and go with it...well for a little while.

Colt really wanted a picture with them but he didn’t understand with the lights in the blowups he wouldn’t show up. Ha.
Sunday after church they got to decorate the tree. (And don’t let us kid ya—they redecorate it 3 times a day!

Oh and we got the singing animals out too! My sanity is questionable-they love’m.
This kid: if you open the fridge he b-lines it. Every single time!! And Tan FINALLY learned how to blow his nose!!! 🙌🏻 I feel like it’s kinda a big deal!

Monday we got to go to Colts class feast! I put more of the pics on the boys school projects blog (I tried to post a link but I can’t figure it out on my phone so maybe I’ll remember to do it later-maybe not.) It was fun though—super cute, his class and teacher are awesome.

Tanner’s how to cook a turkey had us all cracking up-I had to include it here too!

Tuesday we had basketball Wednesday was cold and windy and everyone was home. Isaac put up a peg board downstairs for me...hoping to get organized 🤞🤞🤞 (the real solution would be to get rid of things but I’m hoping seeing what we have helps with that)  Wednesday Isaac took Cannon and Tanner delivering Thanksgiving dinners and Colt and Seth and I stayed home got ready to have the Rogers over for dinner. Colt was a ton of help, we’ll give Seth a pass -probably just cuz it was his 9 month Bday- 9 months!!!  I way prefer this kid on the outside but it never ceases to amaze me how time is the same but it seems like FOREVER when your pregnant and barely a blink when I’m watching these boys grow.

Isaac read a book that Pres Church had recommended then had me read it too. It was about a guys near death experience which is a little bit eyebrow raising, especially in the wake of Pres Oaks recent conf talk but it was really good.

I love it when the boys play (nicely) together. Not pictured here is Seth-sitting on the trundle bed taking it all in!!  Below he’s at the window in our room—he loves checking out what’s going on outside...at this time his brothers were down in the front yard “chopping down a tree for the wood for their canoe”
Hmm they cane in and asked for hot chocolate, I obliged, and the wind blew it all over their coats. Whoops. How did I not  get a picture of that??

And then it was Thanksgiving!
Isaac just wanted Ham and mashed potatoes. The boys insisted on turkey. I don’t know, I have lots of pics...I better do collages...

And what’s a holiday around here without Isaac working on a project? He just decided to tear into the trim to lower it... bottom right when I whipped my camera out he said “I’m not your freak show.”
Hmmm well Honey—sometimes you are. But boy does he have a helper in Seth! So much so he took the toe kick off on his own. Thanks buddy.

And I don’t know if the Turkey cooking instructions showed up or not but I figured that poor bird basically did get an axe from Tan.

This kid was winning all kinds of points! And Bro Scillian brought the boys some popcorn-that was really sweet of him. Seth shook it until he got it open!

We never got around to pie on Thursday (and we’d had part of a frozen pecan one the two days before) but Colt had learned about it at a school and thought you were “supposed” to have apple pie at Thanksgiving, so we made a pie this morning. Just extending the holiday!
This afternoon we went down to the church to burn off some energy on a rainy day. It was extra fun cuz the Bryant’s cane too. We played some pretty fun kickball and wiffle ball.
And tonight...we’ll the whole family was in on the project:

Colt took the pic.
It didn’t work.
We’re still pondering on it.
So typical!
Oh and Isaac got me a vinyl cutter for my birthday—but I held off until Black Friday to order it, I don’t know if I really got a better deal or not but I’m so excited!!!!  There’s little hand written things around the house that I want do in vinyl. We’ll see if I’m smart enough to figure it out when it gets here or not.
I think that’s it.

Last weekend seems like soooo long ago!
Cannon and his buddies!

Saturday Cannon wanted to go to the library with Cohen so they could look up books on how to build a plane....
Then the looked up the engine they wanted for it. Just a cool $94 million...sure guys...
Anyway -I also had Colt take a couple pics of me’n my little guy, he’s usually pretty happy if he’s on his perch on my hip! And if not...he’s just kinda getting to that whining clingy age—but they’re only little once I’ll take snuggles anyway I can get them.

Sunday we had our marriage class. It was on “positive communication” I assured the class at the onset that neither he  nor I had any business leading a discussion on that topic as we are prime examples of failure to communicate!! (There is a Chance I had told him earlier in the week that I probably should not attend with him as not to promote hypocrisy.) But thankfully the Spirit does soften hearts and that class really is good thing and it went fine. I mean we have plenty to work on but it was a blessing to be there and discuss it with others.
Also two different times this week in very different ways (one health challenge one trial of faith)  I was made aware of things other people are struggling with and it’s just kind of one of those gut check moments when you realize how good you have it and that it’s important to stop and just be grateful for the abundance of blessings in life!! There’s certainly plenty to be grateful for!!!
How bout this little cutie for one. He’ll be 9 months old next week! (Time goes soooo fast when they’re on the outside) but look close he has one little tooth there on the bottom and the second one is almost through. I feel like he struggled with teething more last week than this week but mostly it’s just waking up at night, well that and lots of time on his perch. And how bout the throw back to Cannon with him chewing on that Silky?!?! It makes me smile.

Monday Seth was so tired and fussy by time we got to come follow me and scriptures. So I was standing bouncing him when I looked up and saw this!!!!!

I had to take a picture and I’m so glad I did!!!!! Some days when reading scriptures is rough...lots of days... I need to remember occasionally we get a little glimpse like this and it’s just enough to keep us plugging along!!
Tuesday I jammed the heck out of my thumb at basketball, that sucked!! I re-jammed it stuffing my washer full of clothes. Do you know how much I use my thumb?! Especially on my phone!!! But I was. A lot more sympathetic to Cannon when he jammed his this week.
Wednesday we finally had Cannons friend Luke over, we were hoping for Luke and Dax but Dax was sick. I think they had fun.

Afterwards it was pack meeting. Cannon has loved his short time in scouts (oh that’s what else we did Sunday was watch the face to face with Elder Gong about the new children and youth program.) Anyway Cann loaded up on “belt loop” awards at Scouts and even earned his “bobcat” so I got a pin.

I was glad we went to support Cann but dang that was too long of a night and we had the behavior to prove it the next day!!! Yikes—meltdown city. So at 5:15 we were like “game over we’re done” and we set our sights on a 6:00 bedtimes. It didn’t happen. But we made it by 7 and everyone was out by 7:15. It was AWESOME!!!!
And today a friend saved us by coming for a play date! It was great, Tanner hates it when his brothers have school and he doesn’t so distractions are great. We also  played b-ball down at the church and the Bakers brought us pizza. So Nice!
I’m barely hanging on to post the blog I’m so tired but lastly I should admit I’m hooked on these YouTube videos by the minimalist mom-she’s fantastic! Now  the test is to put them into action. I don’t really want to become s minimalist I just like the idea of cleaning up cleaning out a lot of our junk. Any progress would help! I don’t even know how I found them...google  or YouTube or whoever must be onto me and my junk collecting habits. I think the first one I watched about clutter just popped up in my suggested videos. Now I’m hooked.
Guess that it until next week ❤️😊
Oh and I LOOOVE having a piano-Tans getting in on the fun too. It just makes me happy! (And he was pretty cute sorting all of the “girl colors” out for his best friend Haven )

Not the best week of our lives but oh well. I have a friend whose philosophy is “eh it could be worse”  ha! so let’s go with that.
Sat Isaac had meetings and YM stuff in Quincy and was gone all day. We had a little birthday cake “party” with a little boy we call “the other Colt” mid morning and then had friends out that afternoon...and hey we even made my flying Hawk happen!
Sunday was the Primary Program. I really love it when I don’t have anything to do with it—we should’ve worked a little harder I totally think Cannon could have memorized his part but oh well.

Here the links to their Sunday morning final practice runs:
Monday Seth and I had a little lunch date with Isaac, when dad gives you a lemon—give it back!

We went to the Beals skate party. We are so happy Dax is at least moving to where we have family so we’ll get to see them again.
Other than that...
A little brother love:

A fall off the bed 😞 Poor little guy!

And today Tanner and I made some delicious turtles

That’s about it. We had basketball a couple times...well 3, and watched some friends, oh and RS...yeah it’s been a busy week!

Another week

Stop reading this- before you ever start and look up the Seinfeld episode on Kramerica Enterprises...
Oh crud I married Kramer. (The curse of that first Halloween when we were dating...I don’t know where the pic is but I will find one!)
We also watched the one on The rickshaw.
I didn’t remember but Kramer always had some stupid business idea...I will say Isaac and I haven’t laughed so hard together in a long time but I’m not kidding you-he is Kramer!!!! (He’s still watching I’d really rather blog!)
He just said “so what’s thwarting my creativity? I should be a millionaire by now...it could be you honey” I answered “you’re welcome”
I think I need to just respond to his ideas with “what would Jerry say to this?”

Anyway let’s talk about the week and the boys!
Saturday we hauled our old dresser out to the burn pile! The boys had a blast demolishing it! It definitely held some sentimental value because Isaac refinished it for me our first Christmas but we used it long past it’s function-ability and I saved the hardware to put on something that I like and that works so at that point the burn pile was a good option.

It was kinda a project kinda day. Above he’s trying to figure out why the doors didn’t fit...Oh boy do I need to farmhouse blog!

Sunday we had a little band
Cannon on the violin Tanner the stool drum and Colt pounding the piano-2 fists

Sunday was actually awesome. I’ve wanted forever to have Isaac do Kid interviews with the kids but that’s because in my mind it’s was his thing, like a PPI. But then I realized why? If I want a kid interview -do it. It was amazing SO much fun to spend a little time with each of them and just get’m talking. Ok really it took FOREVER! But worth every second. I hope to do it more consistently, I haven’t decided exactly, maybe some of the same questions some different and I just put their answers in a spreadsheet I don’t know whether to just save and expand that document or post them or what but it was awesome! And it kindof gave me a purpose beyond “survive” while Isaac was gone all day.
I’ve still been dialed in on my uploading pics to family search project. It’s really fun but after last week and uploading the restricted content I think I’m flagged. Dangit! Because I got it again when I uploaded this picture

What the heck right? And of all the “memories” I’ve been uploading this one is truly my memory! Grama going tubing with us, it was awesome. I contacted them and asked why it was restricted and if I could crop it and then upload it-and they got back to me and said the restriction was an error...so yeah I’m flagged! But I’m happy the memory can stay!!
Wednesday we brought Dax and Cohen home after school. It was really fun until it suddenly got super windy and cold and they came in for a little basketball. Uhhh our strength is definitely when they get outside time. Which they did get some, the popped popcorn and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs on their fire so I think it was still fun.

We picked up friends a couple times this week just to help their parents out. Well, Emma left these beautiful glasses here. Sethy cracks up when any of the rest of us put them on. It’s pretty funny!
One  of my favorite things is how excited Seth gets when he sees any of his brothers...and I’m really my favorite thing is the smiles he gives me!

Cannon in a whisper to Tanner “are you afraid of  Ghosts?”
Tanner full volume “No! I not afwaid of anyfing. I only afwaid of bea-ws (bears)” maybe you had to be there but I’m telling you it was hilarious!

B-ball a few times this week. Once with the kids Colts age, practiced twice with Cannons group. Maybe I’m kinda wondering what I’ve gotten myself into. One kid hasn’t showed up for practice yet. 2 I wonder if really even want to be there, 1 big leagues us to go play Y ball because his dad thinks he needs more of a challenge so he signed him up to play with the 5th-8th graders. I’m going to have a hole in it if I keep with bite my tongue option!

New subject...I played Betty Baker today:

Not perfect but not bad either!

I think that’s it. When I look back at the pics most of what I have are just pics of pics I’m trying to get in on family search-so now I need to delete them. Oh and I had good luck identifying people by joining the “remember St. George when...” Facebook group so that was cool.

Oh and I’ve been trying to get rid of some stuff too. Ug stuff...stuff stuff stuff-why am I such a hoarder??!?!

Until next time...
