Make’n a history…

 Ug…I’m blogging the old fashion way. I think my ancient blogging app finally bit it. And when I looked for a new one…I don’t know all the “made in Russia” may want to track you crud made me hesitant… 

So anyway I’m sure I’ll still be blogging late tonight that’s normal but I wanted to get started so hopefully not so late—but that’s when I found I couldn’t publish on my old app. 

So back to it…

I think the blog is a history of our manner of life, faith, and works. (And a lot of play too) anyway that’s from CFM this week. 👍🏻

So we’re just still playing hard in Utah. We’ll see what I can do as far as the run down. 

Isaac and I had been to the temple Friday but we went again Saturday morning. (Gotta cash in on it only being a 10 min drive 😊 but it was good.) We did sealings and the first go around the sealer was the dad of a gal I played high school basketball -then the second go around one of the sisters in our group was one of our old bishop’s in Ivin’s sister. I always love seeing people I know in the temple, so the best part (aside from the actual temple work) was I got to see my mom on her Saturday morning shift. That was awesome! 

We showed up with donuts when we got back and Grampa and the big kids went up to the feed yard to drive and shoot and whatever else, and I headed to Jen’s pool with Addi and Seth while Isaac caught a nap.

It was a hot day though so it didn’t take too long before they joined us. I have lots of pics but…I can’t figure out how to add them from “the computer” when it’s really my phone…🤔

(Isaac probably figured it out-we think my phone updated and now it doesn’t recognize my super old app🤔)

But I tried to put the photos on Google photo (which is upload-able) so let’s see

This is a disaster.

So maybe I’ll just test my story tell’n skills. 

So Saturday afternoon my mom took the kids roller skating. 

Sunday I got a couple pics out of the attick to put in on family search. I love that stuff. My brothers cane down for Sunday dinner and we had a good visit and the kids played hard. 

Monday we laid low! Ug! 

Addi may or may not have eaten dinner Sunday dinner…I don’t know-but whatever she ate (too much parade candy her brothers had collected and saved) she puked it all up! Disaster and I thought I’d woke up at the start but nope that was the end of that go around and it was everywhere. I got her cleaned off-ish she was freaking out and wouldn’t shower so we just used the shower want and did the best we could—all the while that puke smell was seared into my nose 🤮 anyway I got her cleaned up and she went back to bed and quickly fell asleep and I thought I was off the hook. Just too much candy. Wrong. Round 2 we were running to the bathroom and we went from head in the toilet to head in the garbage can…only means one thing. 

Not willing to clean that up off of carpet we spent the rest of the night on the bathroom floor. But not the close bathroom with carpet right outside for me to say on because we’d already got that one wet spraying off round one. So we were in the cold hard tile floor garage bathroom. She had a nice plush bath mat and a pillow and I had a towel…and another towel for a pillow. Notice I said spent the night instead of slept. 

She was so sick but slept some…I listened -but not well- to a lot of podcasts. 

Needless to say we laid pretty low Monday. I did slip up to the Santa Clara History museum Monday—it was very cool, I really enjoyed it! While Add had  still been sick in the morning by evening she seemed to be doing a little better so we ventured out and tried a little skim boarding. And since the park was in view —that too. 

Tuesday we headed for Ison family fun week-which has been so fun! 

I’m getting to that point, I’m ready to be home, but my kids are like wait! It hasn’t been a week yet! Ok ok family fun few days, sorry guys. 

But anyway so fun to see everyone. Seth loves getting to see Shawn’s kids.  Sadie and Addi are so cute together, Cannon loves hanging out with the older cousins, we used to call teenagers but now they’re young adults and he’s the teenager. Madi’s husband Sam is so cute with all the kids and he’s easily their favorite (at least this trip) 

We went for a walk/hike and let the kids pick the trail…mistake noted. We did not go to the spring (clearly marked by a sign but instead hiked past a dead sheep and up a trail until we drew the line at not hiking down to have to turn around and come back up. We’ve played games inside and out and-learned a few new ones-lots of visiting, a RIDICULOUS amount of screen time, we’re going to have to detox from the screens when we get home! We tried a local Mexican joint yesterday and Cann and I shopped a little for school clothes while the other kids and some cousins  went to the aquatic center. Today they rode the Alpine Slide and coaster, we cashed in on the ice cream Isaac bribed us to run the pump track behind the Airbnb with…and what else…I don’t know. 

I made dinner night…it’s almost midnight and Cannon just told me “I don’t like going to bed this early”

Finally all back together!!

We got back to our boys!!! I was pretty happy! 

But I’ll go back to Saturday…well I guess Grama did better at taking pictures than I did. 

They cleaned to get ready for us 🤣

At least someone is teaching my kids to clean—I’m failing miserably. 

We left Monday and got there Tuesday. We dropped the boat prop off at a shop in Salt Lake, grabbed breakfast, then headed for Grantsville to grab Isaac’s motorcycle before heading south. (Always better for him to have something to do -he went riding with Phillip a couple mornings.) But we were so happy to get to see everyone. 

And of course Jen’s pool is always really fun! 

Lots of playing. 

Nights games at the feed yard tonight turned into a bit of a disaster, the reason (they say) is Isaac cheated. Oh boy, meltdown city-hopefully it smooths over because they were furious. 

Prior to that though-such a good day! But…the little conflict really messed with my blogging plan/schedule so…I gotta just throw some pics on and be done! 

So here it goes.

Isaac and I slipped over to the temple this morning which was awesome.  (I told him in was in honor of his mom getting home from her mission.🎉) But we went again this afternoon with these awesome kids! 

It was pretty hot (we went in the middle of the day on purpose) but Colt put the fountain to good use…if it wasn’t so late I’d find the pic of him swimming in the ponds on temple square back in 2014…
