My Saturday soccer players!

On the first Saturday of October after soccer, we always have to bust a home for conference! We usually get home just in time for the first speaker— Sorry, songs๐
Seth talked me into the fun bag thing… So we did that…lots of fake legos…they loved them.
Seth and Kamden have been wanting to hang out forever so her mom asked if we were going to the fall festival… I said sure— No way would I have went otherwise-normally I hate those stupid fundraisers!! Seth had a blast Addi not as much, she’s pretty timid in a setting like that. She would only do something if Seth did it right before her. Oh well, we went for Seth and he had fun so we’ll call it a win
Then once again, we were busting a home this time for the evening session… Which, when that one ends early after five hours of conference or whatever it is —It’s just so nice. ๐ Even though the messages are great…I’m just ready to call it a day!
Moore conference Sunday and I made cinnamon rolls but no pic, well, actually I did take pictures but none of them turned out. Oh well the kids did love them so that was a win, and then we shared some with our neighbors.
Then the rest of the week I don’t know what happened It’s already Friday!
Really Monday Seth had soccer and Cannon had football, he loves it, I hate it! It’s so dumb. They were up by 20 points and he didn’t get in for a single play. when there’s two minutes left and you’re running the ball all the time anyways just let him play. I was frustrated he was frustrated, I know I should be good and just listen, but sometimes I end up opening my big mouth and saying what I think-It is so many extra trips to town and stuff it’s ridiculous but I must’ve said something about that because Tuesday he was so nice. So nice I was like who is this kid? But can he stay?! He was just nice and appreciative and cooperative—I don’t know, but I know I liked it!
Tuesday I watched President Nelson‘s funeral. It was so good. It was like a bonus session of conference and I think President Oaks is going to be awesome. It was fun to see a little bit of his personality come through when he was speaking about President Nelson.
I ran Tanner’s soccer practice that night so that his real coach could go watch his daughter play softball, I was happy to help…when I coach soccer I’m always faking it but…good enough.
It was feeling crazy busy Tuesday night until I realized I was mixing Tuesday and Wednesday together. Ha. I just thought how do we usually handle it with youth activities? Then I realized those weren’t until Wednesday. On Wed Cannons quorum went shooting which he was super excited about but they were racing the sun a little so he had to be there 45 minutes earlier than usual.
Oh and Isaac did his little health assessment thing at work and he was in the high risk range on a couple of things…so maybe I have no interest in becoming vegan but I like him and I’d like to keep him around so maybe we should probably be a little more heart healthy!! (Tuesday I went easy on myself and fed them corn dogs and taters tots we had downstairs in the freezer and apparently what you eat in the last 48 hours matters on that health assessment thing…whoops!)
By time we get to Thursday we’re just so thankful we don’t have anything.
But we always have the building…not a normal little date? Hmm, boring people.
And he kept the kids working long enough I fired up the light tower (which means gross bugs)
But check it out!!!! Floyd and Martin came back today (which is why we’re out so late last night trying to get ready for them) but check it out!!! Ok it’s only one side but it looks like a building!!!
I thought they were going to do the roof but that’s the beauty of having someone that knows what they’re doing—I guess they gotta be able climb up there to do the peak on the back. There’s actually lots of beauties of those guys knowing what there doing. ๐ But it was pretty funny today—over time I’ve just kind of gotten used to helping Isaac-however whatever whenever etc oh wait speaking of Isaac—not these guys but the guys we bought the metal from wrote his name on it. “Icssic” I have never seen it spelled like that! thought that was pretty funny. Anyway back to me being the helper, Floyd said “yeah, if we just had a lady that could run the equipment” …I know I would’ve never guessed but…it really isn’t hard so I just get in and do it.
I really do love talking to those guys though-they are such good people. They don’t have/take pictures though (but they don’t mind if I take pictures of their good work๐๐ป) so today I asked if they journal, they do. (So family search needs so much more…but that’s technology๐) anyway Martin taught me about “circle letters” they write one and send it and there’s several addresses and then it circles around and when you get the one you wrote back you take it out of the pile and read all the others then you can write a new one. He said he saves his. Bingo-there’s your journal- but he said “it’s how we communicate”
Anyway. It was cool.
Seth was super sad to miss the homecoming parade but we had things to do!
That’s what we’ve been up to.
