Santa Clara June

Old soccer pics

Isaac puttered around all day last Saturday. I mostly visited with Grandma Ison, but he worked on the air conditioning and  got new tires on the van and who knows what else. After dinner (Grandma and I tried our hand at Shawn’s grill-that was an adventure)  but after we ate we loaded up and headed for Santa Clara.

It wasn’t the original schedule but we don’t complain about rain-especially out west- so when  Isaac got done messing around and it was too muddy to go camping. She just rearranged the schedule and left.

But now (Friday) it’s almost midnight and we’ve had a super fun week and a super fun day today so maybe throw some pictures on here. But…it’s not letting me.

We rolled in about 10:15

Sunday Sniles!

Lots of trouble with pics 😬 I’ll update later!

Ugh it takes a lot for me to give up on blogging Friday night but it was a nightmare so I did. I finally got the pics to work (only this far) then they wouldn’t again.  So this morning I just threw anything I could on there before it stops again. It has something to do with “cookies” but it just comes up and tells me it can’t access my account and to please log in but I’m already logged in…oh just typing that —that’s exactly what happed when I tried to log in to the church’s online store…hmmm anyway here the watered down version.

Monday

Tuesday
All of the pain in the neck with blogging I almost forgot Seth got lost. 😳 He  was out riding his bike and he tried to go around Grama’s “big” block but missed the left turn onto Kelly and Keri’s street and ended up down on Country Lane. A girl from my mom‘s Ward actually  had found him and called a couple minutes before that a lady had put it on their neighborhood GroupMe that a little boy was lost he was from Missouri and visiting his “Grama Nett” Keri had been by and brought the dog Bella to see the kids earlier that morning so she answered the GroupMe but Kristi had already found him and called my mom. She offered to bring him Home but he didn’t really want to get in with a stranger so he was just gonna ride his bike if she was gonna show him the way (because she told him she knew his grandma and stuff ) but then he’s chain fell off and so she ended up having to load up his bike and bring him home anyway. Then his new friends dropped off a treat-he loved that. We’re glad it turned out to be no big deal. 👍🏻

Isaac Chip and I did a session while Grama and the boys went and did baptisms.

That night I got to meet up with my cute friend Lindsay and since I didn’t grab a selfie I screen shotted the Marco we sent Ang.

Wednesday-Cannon went over the hill to check water with Grampa…they took his gun to see if the could find something to shoot at (and Grampa couldn’t really talk him in to wasting bullets-that’s good) they called to make sure it was fine to check one more watering hole and …  they ended up finding cows they could corral if they had a horse so Ann was all over that.  They got home several hours later…🤣

Anyway-we went swimming  and they don’t take pics so…

Seth lost his first tooth! He’s showed Grampa it was loose and that was all it took! I love that because we used to always have my grampa Frei pull our teeth and he’d give us $5.

Thursday Ky’s family came back down and Alaina came and hung out with us after girls camp.

Grampa finally snuck those birthday spank’ns in.
Minute to win it games just for fun.

Friday we loaded up but stopped in Cedar to ride motorcycles with the girls.

Then we stopped in Ferron and hung out with the Parrish’s.
I don’t know if Isaac had met Rex before (I hadn’t! It’d been a long time since we’d seen them but Isaac did once when the rest of us weren’t there.  But here he is Re-meeting Rex Isaac!

We had a blast! Tanner had told me he had a goal to pop a wheely on the motorcycle and they had just the little 50 to get him started.
Then back to Grandma Isons! We had a great week!
Except Monday when the sheriff called because he was at our house to serve a summons for court on the stupid ticked Isaac and Cannon got back at the end of January. They showed up for court last month and it had been thrown out but we didn’t get the letter until the day after the scheduled court date. So dumb. Well the officer refiled it. He’s giving me a lot of opportunity to love my enemy (which friend is a stretch but definitely an acquaintance -he coached Cannons 4th grade baseball team with his wife our kids have played soccer with and against each other) but whatever. I am annoyed and sick of it but he obviously adamantly thinks he’s right. I am most mad that Cannon got back to school after our Puerto Rico trip and a random kid was teasing him about it. He was like what the heck? How do you know about that? And apparently after the officer told his buddy about it-whose son is probably Cannon’s best friend. I don’t know if his son was there or if the dad just told him but Cannon wasn’t at school so I guess he just told everyone else. It’s not like medical and HIPPA stuff but old like some professionalism. I have my own complaint. But it was a total pain because the court date was for Wednesday, so he had to apply for a deferment which the judge granted only for 1 week but we still weren’t going to be back (he told them the dates!) so then he had to request a change of judge. Which was granted but now it’s drug out even longer. Oh well.
My natural tendency is to hope the guy gets struck by lightening so I guess it’s a good chance to pray for those who persecute you (or prosecute-I’m sure it’s the same Latin root)
So dumb! Such a pain.

Bout it

It’s Utah time of year!
I love that my kids saw those red rocks -then white rocks-dropping into Grand  Junction and grabbed my phone to take a pic! They knew we were getting close. Cann was tempted to pull over at the Utah sign but instead he found one online 😉

But I better start in order. The boys were back from camping before Addi even woke up Saturday -and Isaac cooked breakfast at home. We rode bikes down at the schools and the mulberries are getting ripe!

Sunday (no getting ready miracles this week) but the afternoons when it’s beautiful like this—we love to get outside!

Monday I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast with the leftover stuff I had out from the youth bake sale so we called Craig and he came over. It’s always fun to visit with him. Isaac was picking his brain a little bit.

Cannon had his motorcycle out (warming it up for Utah 😉)

And we headed to the lake that night! Cann pulled the boat! (Kinda freaks me out but if he learns to do it I won’t have to—that’s a win so… hurry up and learn Cann)

The waters getting better and better we all had fun surfing and you can’t tell from the mediocre pic I got of Cann but we took these little volleyballs we have and played catch with the person surfing—it was pretty dang fun!

It was Memorial Day so way busier than normal but we still outlasted most other boats. Tuesday Isaac worked in the temple and I took all five kids down to Columbia so Colt could  get his braces.

While we were there, we got a call from the courts that the judge let me off jury duty! So that meant we were headed to Utah Wednesday! Thank you your honor! (Poor Colt kinda rough traveling)

We hit a couple stores while we were down there-these kids love mannequins. I think they touched everyone in that store! (Oh and Seth and Addi were driving Tanner crazy-fairly easy to do, and common for that matter-but Tanner talked Addi into “try meditating” it was hilarious!

Then we just had to get ready to go!

We made a few stops on the way-Isaac and his Facebook shopping! Actually that guy has been living his best life dreaming up business ideas (and sometimes he bounces from idea to idea pretty quickly!) -he loves it-for me…I’m thankful for the job he has that pays the bills (and funds his other projects…I just mean why they get of the ground 😉 IF he ends up going with any of these ideas)

He bought a wire tie’r…and…this!

We’ll pick it up on our way back through KC. It was at a downtown industrial park-oh it smelled terrible,  then we stopped at a KFC so Colt could get mashed potatoes…it had 3.1 stars on Google…that was probably a generous rating. Remembering our feet sticking to the floor. 🤮🤮

Cannon helped drive!!  He definitely got better as we went along and we were pulling the “van trailer” with those motorcycles so…baptism by fire in the driving world right?!

And we had a built in play place for every stop.

Most importantly we made it!!! Let the good times roll!

Hikes-motorcycles-cousin time with Aliyah and Sadie.

Let’s Go—So much fun!!

I think that’s about it.
