Cannon’s 13 and Addi’s 2!!

A busy birthday week!

This kid is…easy to shop for because he’s always making it very clear exactly what he wants…so sometimes it’s not very fun. I bet he asked me 50 times if I ordered these glasses for him…but I did…

And fancy new football cleats. Cheap is more my style—if you know me at all you already know that๐Ÿ˜— but not him!  I said if he wanted fancy ones it had to be for his birthday. So then I had to come through.

A birthday morning skunk hunt! …they came up empty—

New helmet! (I bought him this at Christmas time, but then Isaac decided to buy him a gun… So I decided the helmet could wait!) I think it was really the only surprise he got though! He’s 13 he’s had the same helmet I bought used when he first started riding when he was 5–this one is the same brand-but 2 sizes bigger…but unfortunately it fits just about like his old one. Basically perfect right now but probably won’t last long.
Oh well I tried.

His new suit is a little too big still but he looks pretty sharp! You bet I had it when the big dance was…and I didn’t get it out!
I was feeling like his other one was getting close so I googled extreme slim suit or something like that and this baby popped on eBay. New, never been worn but the consigner guy had had it made for his 16 year old son. It had the measurements all listed so I compared it to the one Cann had and it was longer everywhere and skinnier—sweet, perfect—so I punched it and I’m pretty happy with it. He’s a sharp looking kid! However he didn’t want to crease his new shoes so he was walking around like he had a stick up his rear๐Ÿคฏ ridiculous!! So I wore his shoes around the house to break them in for him, he’ll find out Sunday, he can hate me if he wants! And he can walk in them right or buy his own new shoes!
Ok rant over!
Soccer got rained out Sat morning but Tanners baseball practice didn’t! But look at those clouds—45 min in they canceled… probably wasn’t our best idea to have Isaac drop all of us off at the other field and just play around. We were pretty much drowned rats before he got back from his paint and battery buying escapades…whoops

All in all I think he had a fun day…
This is all his buddies from morning weights…basically I’m posting a pic of all the stink’n kids who have more influence on him than me ๐Ÿคฏ welcome to having a teenager I guess.

Sunday we played a little family baseball…we’ve had beautiful weather!!
Monday we finished up Tanners soccer! I never buy pictures I like to take pictures throughout the season and then I feel like after the season we always gather up and take a team photo so good enough, right? But this time I got passing out the little participation awards I made for the kids and just the little goodies I had made for them. We forgot to do the team picture ๐Ÿ˜ฌ so I don’t even have one… Darn oh well I actually don’t really care at all I have pictures of Tanner playing and that’s good enough.
And Tuesday this girl turned 2!!  (That came fast!)

Dad made sure she got to ride her horse on her birthday!

Besides all the birthday fun Tuesday we wrapped up Colt’s soccer season with a doubleheader—so it was a late night of soccer. They lost the first game, which was their first loss of the season and some of those kids need to learn how to lose class and still be a good teammate and such, but they bounced back in the second game and had a lot of fun and I think he had a good season too.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

A little after school whiffle ball with the Tilton’s!

We finally got the mowers over to the cemetery…

But it was pretty bad back in the old part and as careful as I was trying to be I still hit 2 headstones. ๐Ÿ˜ณ crud! One was just a corner but the other one  I got really bad I hope that person and all of their family that remembers them are already in heaven and will forgive me. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป You really just can’t see them at all, it’s too overgrown!  I don’t think I’ll try any more back there—at least not until this winter.
But it was good to be over there—it’s sacred ground! And it looked good all mowed up!
Isaac was messing around with tires on the semi-so he was using the excavator to lift the truck up and set it on some wood blocks. I told him if I had to describe us (him) in one word I’d pick “unconventional!”
Pretty sure the conventional approach would be to have the tire shop do it…but …what a waste of money!

I got to sneak over to the temple! Really I’m trying to prepare to lead the discussion in RS and I felt compelled to get over there!! But it was good and I love seeing our old Nauvoo stake friends in the temple!

Tanner’s not very happy with me right now because I won’t let him stay up and draw with the doodle game he and Colt downloaded on the tablet. Too bad—it’s after 10:00!!
He just brought me this note:

Probably shouldn’t bring me notes while I’m blogging๐Ÿ˜‚
And besides I already got the present from class—we’re going to plant them over and Riz’s tomorrow!!

Grama sent Sis this blanket for her birthday…maybe I forgot to get it out until today—it makes the celebrations last longer right?!

And today's other big news is Seth can (FINALLY!!!) ride his bike!!
Look out world-and motorcycles-here he comes!!

I was just about to write I thought that was —it but I forgot! Isaac is always looking for adventure and loves to vacation (not me if we didn’t live far away from family I’d never go anywhere…but I have to go to document things right?!) anyway Isaac bought some plane tickets to Florida this week so—adventure pending!! Of course I’ll keep ya posted!!

Last day without a teenager for the next 17 years!

Oh shoot I started to blog earlier but apparently I never published it-so it’s gone-bummer. And it’s almost 11:00 and I’m just getting started ๐Ÿ˜ณ but if I really told the stories (even for just today) I could be up all night.
So here’s to a quick modified version—
Oh but first I need to clarify, that beauty of a boat I introduced last week—that baby was free! There was no purchasing involved! It was our friends-they did park it out here for a while-but when they last moved it was when the boat trailer broke, they were done with it, tired of spending money on it, not really going to use it anymore, and they couldn’t give it away to their kids so they told us we could have it if we wanted. Honestly I was in the “no thanks” category, right?  I didn’t want it to become our problem but I let Isaac choose and…we have it. And truly they’ve had so much tinkering with it—I should’ve known.
I’m always the stick in the mud parent.
Or maybe the rational/reasonable parent?
Anyway the week:
The fields were a soggy mess but we did play soccer last week. First time both these boys have wore blue at the same time!

Colts team rolled!
Tan and I were up 4-1 and the one goal was “friendly fire” so I called off the dogs and told them I wanted them to work on passing and the next thing I know we were down 5-4 and lucky to end up with a tie. I think it was 6-6
I’m never calling off the dogs again!

Ok picture rundown:
At any given time there is a new pair of shoes in my closet for almost all of us and that’s seven people so that’s a lot of shoes. Well,  Sister found them and just started them out.
What a mess!

We slipped after the grocery store and came back to this:

They were having a blast, but it wasn’t so fun when they had to get sprayed off of the hose before they could come in and shower off!!
I forgot until 15 minutes before church that Isaac and I were substituting in primary, and then he actually couldn’t do it because he had high council stuff. We had a good time with minimal preparation. We built a tent. We faced it towards the temple (Picture of the Temple on the whiteboard behind the llittle King Benjamin who was teaching us to serve.๐Ÿ˜‰

A friend gave us some hand, me down cleats, and Shoes and these kids were having a shoe party! I don’t know if we’ll end up using those or not but they sure had a lot of fun with them Sunday afternoon afternoon!

It was nice enough to get out on a walk and even Cannon got on Enzo on the way back!

Addi gets on him any chance she gets!

On Tuesday, we met one of Seth’s preschool friends at the park after school, but I also picked up Cassie’s boys that day, but this picture just reminded me so much of when they were the ones in preschool and we went to Playdates at the park all the time!  We had a bat and ball in football things in the car so these guys really did have a good time!

Remember last time we got a load of Gravel in the belly dump for the driveway?… I’m positive we had this exact same scene. Stuck! Only Cannon wasn’t here to help run the Skid steer so I got to๐Ÿ˜ฌ

These boys have been awesome about doing piano for tablet time lately, but I told them was worried about him getting a little addicted to a certain game so we took a break— And they built a hut on the concrete forms.

He better love me after I helped him get out of that disaster!
๐Ÿ˜‰

Today after school, we decided to take that boat out for a maiden voyage!

The pictures might make it look OK but at first-He turned the key-NOTHING
So he decided to try and jump it but first he went and found a random nice neighbor to borrow jumper cables from-another so we were just trying to be quick and it was gonna need to charge up for a while because it was dead dead so we were kind of pushing it to the other side of the dock to get the other peoples way and the other guy he always carries batteries on his back up for two different things or something anyways “Can I rent one from you?” The guy just let him use it so with a bomb battery we were good to go!
Well-After you take the jumper cables back.
Was going to try boogie boarding, but he decided it was too cold, I thought about it, Got in up to my knees or so and decided I was on Colts team, so we headed back. “To check on Belle”

But we found this couple studying on the dock, holding belle like she was a baby wrapped in a towel. They had “Rescued” her swimming in the middle of the lake.
The poor guy had jumped in-It was cold! Then they wrapped her in a towel. She was so filthy that the guys towel is ruined now it was so gross. I was so embarrassed! And Isaac and Cannon were mostly trying to keep us straight face and not laugh-It was a big leg and she had swam along ways, but we still just think she could’ve probably headed back to sure that’s what she does when we go to the other lakes… Anyways, at that point I was done done done. Get me out of there. Take me home.
And he did!
And actually, Home is the best place to roast hotdogs because if we needed something, we just went in the house and got it! It was great!

Hopefully, I’ll get a little movie made tomorrow!
For now—my bed is calling!
