It’s Friday!
So going back all week-we start Saturdays with Soccer! Poor Colt had a double header! And dwindling number of players.  They went to 7 v 7 but that is a BIG field for 7…and no subs. So later in the day when he wanted to lay around and read I let him…and maybe I wanted to lay around and watch football.

And these two just love getting to go to the park!

Actually Cannon and I wasted far too much of the day waiting for the BYU game-then watching it. But it was fun! And he did go to the stake YM’s activity…so I text him score updates πŸ‘πŸ»
Sunday we practiced for the primary program…disaster…but the first run always is—hopefully it’ll get better.
I love my calling except for right now—how did no music skills me end up the music lady?? No clue!
A little family game of Risk! Me and Seth were on a team—unfortunately for him I’ve never played and don’t even know the objective. But we held out as long as we could and slowed Isaac a bit…the problem is they want to finish 😩 I thought cleaning it up would thwart that but—they took pics of the board 😏

She’s so fun!

No tree is safe with these two!

He’s just still been working (tirelessly) on the pad for his shop. I’m glad we’re not paying for dirt work! Except for fuelπŸ˜‰

Today we slipped over to the temple!

I don’t have a picture, but the best part was Isaac was in the temple and Addi and I were walking through the arrival center, and there’s a big bust statue of the savior—Addi  Looked at that and said “ That’s Jesus Christ! I know him!”  It was the best! I said “yeah, you do” and she said “ Jesus loves me” Which she always says, but I love it so much every single time and I hope that she will always remember that simple And profound truth!

And tonight was Cannons football banquet…it lasted 14 min and then we ate! Perfect!

Bout it

It’s Friday already…so here we go.
I substitute coached Tanner’s soccer game Saturday so that meant I missed Colt’s but he scored a goal. Tanners team lost I was going to give his real coach a hard time about teaching them not to cross the ball in front of our goal because if we didn’t kick it right in front of our own goal (we gave up 2 goals that way) we would have won. Tanner though—he’s was a beast in the goal! We lost by 1 but we probably should have lost by 30…ok that is an exaggeration but 12 is not! He had so many awesome saves! The first game he didn’t want to play goalie, I don’t know though-he might like it now? I wasn’t going to play him there when I was the coach, but I kind of surveyed my options and…. Put him in! ..,and I was glad I did!
From soccer we headed home for conference.
Great messages but always tough! It is so hard on me that I’m on my own as far as watching, listening, doing fun things kids that I might have hit a breaking point. Even though I have long loved general conference let’s just say my internal dialogue was not “I love general conference” -sigh- I put a note in my phone for before conference in April that basically says eliminate the expectation/hope/wish of Isaac watching or listening to conference with us.
Maybe that will help.
So…other than that
Cann went to his buddy Luke’s birthday camp out Saturday night…he was furious I wouldn’t let him spend the night but…whatever we just picked him up at 10.

Goofs!

Monday the Capels came over to show us some family history stuff…if I am honest I was 0% excited about them coming, but I ate crow. I learned some cool stuff and the kids had a great time with the activity they planned for them too! (Ok maybe not the teenager but…)

Tuesday Addster and I worked on a little Halloween project…I know 2 year old with an iron but she wanted to help…

Marshall is her favorite paw patrol pup and these are her Marshall pants! I got my picture taken in the project too…and I deleted about 20 of them.

Cann had football Tuesday, it was rough! We’re not usually that bad. But we were losing 10 yards a down, then punting and getting 7 or 8 back. Not pretty! They asked for help in the concession stand again so we kinda did repeat of last week (next time they want help Isaac is going to go thoughπŸ‘πŸ») but that should be next year!! On the game though, Finally with about 3 minutes to go I tapped Isaac on the elbow and said “I’m not going to miss anything I’m going to gather up kids and go.”
So as Addi is running from me across the bleachers I hear “Danielsons pass complete to Ison, good enough for the first down!” Ugh!! Totally missed it! Luckily my friend got it on film again! But still! All game if I tried to film a snap (especially in a passing situation) I filmed a sack! Oh well Leslie for the win! And nice job Cannon!
Blurry screenshot? You bet!

This weekend was Isaac’s (very anti-climatic) fall break! But Addi and I did try to help him putter in his boat yesterday! And Teancun got in on it too!

Last night, I was reading Seth’s library book and it talked about the Aurora! Like it was the name of the Ship the little girl sailed on (but she was going to Antarctica…so I didn’t make a connection…until Cannons friend text him that they could see the northern lights…so we went outside and the aurora borealis totally showed at our house! I was impressed (Seth was already asleep -thabkfully but also kindof a bummer cuz we’d just read about it) anyway here’s the pic
The camera definitely enhanced them a bit I feel like
But it really looked like this

This girl and this smile!!! She was just drawing some pictures…then we taped them up!

Seth got a positive office referral today for being such a kind helper when the had a sub. We celebrated with Italian ice-his choice!

Today Isaac had work mtgs in Columbia ☹️ happy fall break πŸ‘ŽπŸ»
The weather is awesome right now and the younger kids have been playing outside—they’re so funny, I love it when they play outside!

Well, here she is…
A huge upgrade but-Definitely a project too- we think it’s been sitting for at least 2 years. We’ve been scrubbing mold off the seats and stuff and Isaac’s first order of business is getting the engine fixed. The block was cracked from them not winterizing it.

But they are pumped. And 2 year old Gatorade’s to boot—actually we got some pretty sweet life jackets with it, and another wake board.
Isaac came in holding a big cutting board that was covered and  said “look we got you a Malibu cutting board…it was kind of expensive but it came with a boat so…”  Gee-thanks.
I missed soccer Saturday morning because I went down to Moberly to the stake women’s conference, but my friend sent me a picture of Tan making a save.
The conf was fantastic-the carpooling thing though. I hate hate hate it. But I feel bad saying no I don’t wanna ride with you and I don’t want anybody to ride with me! So I keep doing it and hating it more and more every time.
But the conf itself was excellent and during the third speaker every time I checked my phone BYU had scored another touchdown-it was awesome! I mean they had to hang on to win. But they did and I was glad.
That night we worked on the seats!

And we worked some more on getting the old sliding glass door closed off…until dark actually when I got a chip of saw dust in my eye-it was miserable-and we finally quit, hopefully that stupid octagon is up next.

Sunday we had the young single adults over for fajitas. The ply wood was his wind break-ha-
But we had a good time and a good turnout. We both ran in this YSA circles for a long time so…its different out here but still maybe a little nostalgic or something…

What I found after we’d been working on the door. An empty primary bag, a magnet bracelet she made on her own and treats-she scored!

New Tiger shirt with Cannons number on it for his game.
I had some good helpers in the concession stand this week—until they had to leave for soccer practice.

Then Cann’s game…let’s go with the pic when it was still 0-0 πŸ˜‰ under the lights I’m just outta luck in the pic dept. I love taking pics but no enough to invest in low light camera equipment.

I think this one shows how small he is compared to some of the other guys. And hopefully he blocks #37 cuz you can see his buddy Brett (#7) catching the ball.

If we’re going to keep using the front door we had to have some sort of a shoe rack! And I had great help building it.

And today was the homecoming parade.

Bout it…
