Best Week of my Life!

Monday-still no little guy. So my mom and I had a bonus day off.
Tuesday May 3rd, worst day of my life! But by Wed May 4th at 2:34 BEST day of my life and nothing else mattered!
For (essentially) sailing through pregnancy actually getting out little guy here had plenty of hiccups. I swear I had to hear 15 times from the Dr. "Well, we usually wouldn't do this... We don't normally... We're going to have to try..." Ug everything was unusual and out of the ordinary. Little Guy's heart rate would drop. A C-section was all of the sudden a very real possibility. (But thankfully we got him here without it) More and more people just kept coming into the room in case we needed them (nicu and such) Yikes but he made it and all is well. So here are some pics!
Dad hold'n him in the delivery room (his hands look just like Isaac's) and our First Family pics. The hospital isn't my favorite place to be but we made the most of it when Isaac would crawl in bed with my and we'd just hold him.

Headed Home

My mom has saved me! She's just take'n care of us and coached me up a little on this whole be'n a mom thing. Oh and she kind of like's him too. I'm SO THANKFUL for her help.

Grama and Grampa Ison and Uncle Shawn came to visit Friday night, and left Saturday afternoon. Isaac planted me some rose bushes for mothers day that night but really, the best mothers day present ever came early Wednesday morning.

Here's just a couple more pics I like.
When dad's hair looks like this we cut it. Then just sleep'n.

Oh we just love him-such a blessing!

No Little Guy yet... we'll see what the day holds though-Everyone asks me about contractions and such I don't know much-I know we're getting closer though. Not that it was a contraction but I was sitting by Isaac on the couch this morning and Little Guy started moving like CRAZY! Most ever. I said "Tell me you can feel that?" He said "You elbowing me?" I said "I had nothing to do with that! That was all Little Guy" and shortly after that pounding I went in the other room and laid down.
Anyway-this week...
Monday I didn't have to work and neither did my mom. That meant our house got a little make-over, it was great. Little Guy's room is ready to go, and SO CUTE! even if I do say so myself. We (we really means my mom while I sat and watched) but "we" moved out some cluttering furniture, changed the bed spread, hung the picture of the Savior, and the vinyl lettering Klint and Caroline gave us, and put away his clothes and stuff. In the front room we rearranged out sectional couch so it just goes along one wall now and brought up a recliner rocker from her house for us to borrow. I had a little nap and woke up to her cleaning my front window, the porch was swept, the microwave cleaned out-you name it, she was work'n her tail off. Me...just relax'n... and embarrassed all of that stuff needed done but still SUPER grateful! Chip didn't escape this project on his day off either, he was the furniture mover and she even roped him into putting a new faucet in our bathroom (he hates "playing plumber") but he did a good job, we're thankful and it's nice! That night we had Bro. Tischner over for dinner, it was fun. We love the Tischners. His wife was out of town seeing a new great grand-baby.
Tuesday-work, but thank goodness for "Sub-able" lesson plans, really I had a pretty good week. (Not to mention my Summer has started :) Such a happy thought. Isaac worked way late that night and I caught a little bit of a 12 yr old softball game. The little girl in our ward is the pitcher and she's a gamer! 12 yr olds can't touch her unless she throws'm a change up or they bunt. It was fun talking to her parents. They're all about it!
Wed was another shower and Aunt Kay was at her best! She had asked me a couple of days before if Little Guy could just be Cannon-even if it was just for the shower, I said "Sure" Of course she went all out. The back of the little Cannon candy bars says "Product of Isaac and Lyndi Ison 2011" So Cute!

It was a blast and me and Little Guy got spoiled again! It was fun to see everyone and visit.
Thursday I don't remember much, I think Isaac worked way late again. Friday was my last day of school-weird- but very exciting, Isaac took me to work that day so there wasn't any vehicle in my spot that threw a lot of people off but really I was still there.
Yesterday Isaac had to work, then he's been dealing with the Goat thing...YES, he's really the brains behind getting a guy to bring down 350 goats to eat a fire break. Or something like that. After work he was dealing with hauling water for the goats, he had to do it again this morning. All I know is its long days and I don't get to see him very much. I've just been trying to get things ready around here. I want all the laundry done-too bad for me laundry never ends. I've had a plenty of little projects to keep me busy though and when I get to bored I go to my folks house and watch ball games (that's what I did yesterday anyway) Bout it. Hopefully more to post soon!!!

Happy Easter

I love Easter time, it just a good holiday. We had a fun little Easter picnic at my folks house with the Frei fam. It has been GREAT to have Isaac home this week (such a huge comfort as Little Guy really could come anytime now) and he found some temp work at Tuachan so that's been really good. Not that its a career but just some work for now and in town. Other than that-just plugging away, I didn't have to work Friday (or Monday for that matter) so that's been a fun nice and much anticipated break. Bout it though. It's a little weird going to bed every night knowing it could be the last night that its just the two of us, but we're excited though too.

Shower Time

Isaac's been gone ALL WEEK! -but he's finally on his way home :)so I decided to post today instead of tomorrow because I might actually get to see him tomorrow, that will be fun. Plus its been fun day!
First of all a little clarification: Chip's my dad.

I got a text from Tami last week that said "Who the Heck is Chip?" :) This pic is a few years old but I still like it and we've always been close, when Isaac is gone, I hang out with the old man! And this week, UG Isaac was gone forever!
Sunday was a nightmare, I never want to teach SS without him ever again. Thank goodness for my 4 solid kids the rest were out of control-I cant handle that and I think it comes largely from being a teacher-things go my way in my classroom, the end-Anyway, Monday my good friend Jill was in town, it was so fun to visit with her, we had a great time. Tuesday started out a little disastrous when I locked my self out of the house with no truck keys. I can't handle it when I do stupid things like that Isaac's just like hey probably don't get so upset-its not good for you. Hmmm, while he's right-I can't help it! Oh well, all's well that ends well right? Tuesday my students were TOTALLY off task-oh wait did I just write that things go my way in my classroom, maybe I'm a liar-anyway they were intent on "helping" me come up with a name for little guy and I didn't care to fight'm about doing their math. Here are some of their suggestions: Matthew "You know Mrs. Ison like 'Math-You'" I confess I got a good laugh out of that-and scratched it right of my list. Then they were just dumb and suggested things such as "How bout Ta for a middle name?... Then you could name him Mike, so he'd be Mike Ta Ison (Mike Tyson)" I said "No thanks, I don't want my son biting anybody's ear off" I can't remember all of them but if they'd put as much thought into their math they'd do awesome on the end of levels. Oh well. Also that day some lady in Costco called me and "older mom"...thanks-I think-I'm going to think it was a compliment and go with that!
Wed it was back to the Dr. my appt was at 3:00, so I got there at 2:40 and was on their (horrid) scales by 2:43, totally out of there before my original appt time and not headed back to school. I might be pretty sold on that whole afternoon off thing, it was GREAT! Thursday Isaac was finally coming home!!! Early :) ...or a little later cuz he ended up driving a mixer truck that afternoon...or it turned out LATE :( -because dang little green broke down on him. I tried so hard to stay up for him but didn't make it :( I got to see him for a few minutes Friday morning and a few Friday afternoon, but then he headed off with the scouts. Sometimes I look back on my single days fondly, they were good, but I remember thinking that a lot of things about being single sucked. When he's not around I remember:I was right! A LOT of things about being single did suck. I miss him when he's gone.
Today I cleaned out two piles that have needed it since we got married! (Embarrassing but true) and my mom threw me and little guy a shower. It was pretty dang fun. One of the best things was these three awesome friends. Brooke, Dani, and Jocey

I love them. They were my best friends in high school, they all graduated a year ahead of me and I remember just crying when they were gone. While I see them once in a while at a ball game here or there never all together. It was so much fun-like old times. I laughed and laughed 11+ years later-it could have been yesterday. The whole shower was just fun and Little Guy totally got hooked up with some cute stuff. Lots of family and good friends-I felt so spoiled. I AM so spoiled!

Thanks Mom! And yes we definitely dig grama (that's what this outfit says)

Oh what a week!
We have cute nieces and nephews. Here's Bri helping Ann and Riley ride his little 4 wheeler together and Tyler eating just the icing off his cookie (my kind of kid)--

Monday morning Isaac left. I just did the normal tired school thing, when I was driving home I heard something about the National Championship game on the radio and decided that sounded more fun cleaning up the house so...I went and watched it with Chip. Such a sloppy game, and that shooting percentage was as bad as my girls games-maybe worse! Oh well once it got away from Butler I left and came home but it was still 10:00 before I really was going to bed (that's late for me, especially when I haven't slept much the night before) Tuesday when I got home it was all I could do to stay up until 8:00. I did kill some time blog stalking, confession: I love that! But reading that Marci had her baby 2 weeks early admittedly freaked me right out! I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as ready but I'm FOR SURE NOT ready YET! That's two friends two weeks early, anyway I'm still 3 weeks out but I feel a ton more pressure to have my ducks in a row!
Wed my day started by going to the Dr. and its really the sickest I've been, Thursday too. I just left school during my prep and came home and slept for 3 hours. I get so worried about missing school but seriously...I'm not much of a teacher right now. Thursday I sat at my desk the whole day, hmm Wed I sat at the front of the room so pretty much the same thing-oh well. The kids are pretty patient with it though, so that's nice. Well Algebra 2 kids are great, Geometry will only ask questions if I go to them and stand there until they ask because I know they don't get it -that would take paying attention- (It makes me crazy I just think can ya not see the huge belly? It makes me a little less mobile) and Algebra B kids...just don't care. Thank goodness for Algebra 2, I love those kids!
One of the speakers in conference talked about having a picture of the temple in every room, so even when they are infants the children can look to the temple. I decided I wanted to put a wedding pic of me and Isaac in Little Guys room. (If the little one of us in the front of the temple in the front room counts I think his room was the only one with out one :( whoops)
This is the one I picked

I like this one because Isaac and I are both looking to the temple. I had a blast looking through our wedding pictures, Becky did such a good job! So I think I'll blow it up, and I already have the picture of the Savior I want to got in there I just need to remember to ask Isaac to hang it.
Thursday my mom had a sisters dinner deal, so I had Chip bring Pizza up here-it was GREAT I'd been craving it for 2 or 3 days. Note to self-go for the cravings! I loved it! He stayed and visited for a while, AND then Isaac came home so it was a great night! Friday I felt quite a bit better (Thank Heaven) We didn't do anything exciting but it's always fun to feel like we COULD have. I had a little nap, Isaac cooked dinner it was fun just to hang out together, we talked about watching a movie but never did and he just ended up falling asleep anyway. Sat we had planned on going to the temple but decided I probably better just rest. Isaac ran a couple of errands and went and got Salads and brought them home and we had a little lunch date before he took off to Maddi's baptism. I didn't feel like traveling and since the Doc's discourage it I just stayed home. Isaac just headed down to Huntington after the family shin dig, so he's there today. We don't spend very many Sunday's apart though so-we'll try not to make a habit of it.
As of Isaac leaving yesterday my prayers go something like "Heavenly Father, please don't send Little Guy until Isaac gets back." I really did pray that exact thing and it was probably the best thing I ever did cuz I just felt better afterward! I felt way more than heard "I know Lyn" which of course I took to mean I get to have it my way, but really I know, what it means -not necessarily that, (but I still like thinking that) but so much more, he does know, everything, every stress, concern, fear, all of it, he knows, and he's in charge, and he loves us, and he wants what's best for us, and I am so grateful for and blessed to have that understanding!!

Yikes, I even sit down to turn on the computer and I just see a really really fat belly reflected in the screen. The good news is little guy is growing.

This week it was super hard on me when Isaac left...but that's just the breaks right now.
Monday-Wednesday??? Who knows? I just remember missing Isaac lots. School is a killer, I'm just so tired I just come home crash. And I'm so overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done before I go on maternity leave. Holy Cow. Isaac just says "don't worry-you have time" yeah right! Tuesday I went to open gym even though I can't do much. Wednesday I grabbed something to eat with my folks, that was fun.
Thursday, Isaac was coming home, so I didn't bring any work home. But Isaac didn't get out of town when he thought he would so he ended up being pretty late and I was asleep before he got home. My brother Kyler came over that night though-and he stayed and visited for a while, it was fun, it reminded me of old times, we used to be really really close, and it was just good timing to have company because I was just sitting around waiting for Isaac to come home. Plus, when Ky's name shows up on my phone-it pretty much means I'm going to get a good deal :) I hope Walgreens diapers work for little guy cuz he brought me a coupon for them that when you combine it with the rebate (which of course we have to wait 4-8 weeks for) they were only $2 a pack. So I bought as many as I could!
Friday Isaac and Nate took a truck down to the auction to sell, but they didn't end up buying anything so they caught a ride home and I picked them up at the Flying J by work, we dropped Nato off at his in-laws and it was fun to ride home with Isaac, I wanted to just do something fun that night. But we really didn't ever come up with anything...went to the mail but that was about it. But it was really good to have him back. Yesterday we got up and he did yard work, I headed to my mom's to barrow the weed eater and we hit a yard sale in her neighborhood that was a BLAST. The people were totally cubs fans. I got Little Guy a Cubs onsie, a Jacket (for down the road) a couple of bibs, and a jersey (also a little big) but it was WAY FUN my mom bought a crib and crib set, we got all kinds of good stuff. Isaac said "the only problem in the Cubs suck"...true...but that's just part of being a Cubs fan, we deal with that. I told him he can pick a good team and little guy can like them too. We listened to conference here, then went back to my mom's for string for the weed eater (whoops my bad I didn't even check but really I ended up running to Home Depot to buy some anyway). Isaac mowed her lawn, he's so sweet! Then we came home and listen to the afternoon session. We were dozing off so I made smoothies to help keep us awake, it was a pretty good trick. It was just a good day. I enjoyed it. Today I haven't enjoyed though. Listened to Conf, it was good-headed to Klints to dinner. Hopefully the day improves!
