A busy week is pretty much an understatement!
Last Saturday was Truman's Graduation so Isaac had that and the hooding ceremony. Our friends the Williams came out and helped us at the house (it was their 20th anniversary, and they spent it serving us! SO NICE.) Cannon had his first baseball game and he was TERRIFIED! Oh man. He was a mess-caused a big ole scene I was embarrassed... and determined! I didn't really care if he played but I was adamant he warmed up. As soon as I won that battle he forgot how scared he was and had a great time. 3 hits. Fielded a few ground balls. He did great--everyone was like "Why didn't he want to play?"...good question! The before and after pics were pretty great. And might I just add his Coach is FANTASTIC! Such a good demeanor with the boys. I feel very grateful Cannon had Coach Joe.

If I want to be Cannon's biggest fan, I've got some pretty stiff competition!

Tuesday Grampa got here! He's one hard work'n son of a gun! But he's snuck in some time to play with the boys too.
Tuesday was also Colt's preschool program. He sang and danced his little heart out. The did the Body bop and he was so dang cute bopping his little head. And then they sang "I believe in you" It was cute.
Wednesday it was back to baseball and Grampa got to watch. Cann did a good job. I actually kind of had a blast sitting at the ball field with my dad watching my kid play. I took a few pictures too (shocker) and Grampa got the videos.

As we were leaving the game. Stopped at the stoplight we heard honking behind us, Grandma and Grandpa Ison had made it! Sweet.
Thursday was Colt's field day.

Today was Cannon's end of year celebration so the boys and I went. We watched a cute little movie his teach had put together. Cannon had baseball again, but his tummy hear again, well his "waist" I believe him that it hurts but I'm a little frustrated with him playing it for is way-to get what he wants. I thought if he wasn't well enough to at least sit on the bench and cheer on his team he wasn't well enough to go to fathers and sons. But...are around here my opinion isn't worth much. They are gone camping tonight. If he was so willing to stretch and feel better for camping why was that impossible for baseball. Whatever.
Anyway here's few more pics. I'm pretty sure Chip had no idea what he was getting into. And he's a worker not an analyzer but he's survived and by dang I think we're going to have a sturdy floor! Then the last 3 I just couldn't pass on posting Colt's smile and our photography fun for the week was "Framed" So the bottom 2 were my attempts at that.

Long post and I'm sure that's not "all" but good enough for now!!

Today’s a heck of a day to try and blog...the plan was a sleepover out at the farm house tonight 😳
When Isaac considered the reality of it tonight he vetoed it. Phew!

Between House Stress. Moving Stress. Girls camp stress...I’ve kinda hit the freakout stage.
Isaac says "Its good for you to learn how deal with it and not freak out." Does he know me?

We have to be out of here in less than 3 weeks, that place-- not close AND no progress, I finally decided to started going out in the mornings before anyone wakes up. It’s good, peaceful, and productive. Then Isaac decided he wanted to put texture on the walls. But the next day-maybe 2 later he’d changed his mind back. If we do anything it’s a lot of flip flopping. Finals wrapped up for him this week though so except for the Bishop thing, this house thing should be his main focus for a little while here. That's good, hopefully progress soon.
Bro Speaks has been out working his tail off of for us. Such a nice guy!
Grampa is coming back next week. YAY...I think we'll survive this little project after all. I hope!
Grama Bought the boys matching shirts on a screaming deal so I tortured them last Saturday morning with letting me tack pictures of them. (I'll try to put some on the bottom of this) I was thinking that would be a good Mothers Day present for the Grama's...or me...but--no go.

Grama Nete would have been proud of Colty rubb'n feet though. They traded a little foot rub for some "dental work" Hey even I didn't get out of it (we have to keep ourselves busy somehow while Isaac's off Bishop'n it) But I figured I can only hope one of them chooses to be a dentist as a profession. I'm going to need one!

We've been to the ball field a few times this week. It really hard for me because I don't feel like Cannon is very Coachable...for me. But such is life, at least he's playing. I hope he has fun with it. My goal is not to raise a great ball player! He's been complaining of a "hurting tummy" the last few day. I'm 99.9% sure its hogwash...but I'm leaving him that .1% It seems it only hurts when its something he doesn't want to eat or he's not getting his way. I'm dumb...but I'm not that dumb. Look at this next blurry pic...looks just like what someone with a sore tummy would be doing right?

And oh these two love to help paint. Tanner says "My brush my brush!" (Totally the most use that make-up brush was every going to get wit me as the owner. HAHA) And I helped Isaac tear up linoleum  tonight...Colt really wanted us to leave the green stuff. No thanks buddy.

And the photo shoot...

And he's  (above) he's just so stink'n cute and photogenic but (below) the little stinker is also the culprit for the lifted shirts. Little Stinker(s)

Oh and I almost forgot, Cannon got Eric's old suit and some new Sunday shoes for his birthday last week. Well it wasn't very exciting then, but Sunday when he was look'n just like dad he was loving life! It was pretty cute.

Ok my photography "skills" are weak but...I need to practice, and you get the idea.

When I told Tanner he had to have shoes on to come out he came out in crocs, I said "No, church shoes." So he grabbed Cannon's old ones.

Never a dull moment around here! We've got that going for us!

Oh and I almost forgot another thing, this cute thing Colt made for me at school ❤️

Cann Man is 7!!!

SEVEN YEARS OLD!

Oh we've had a busy week! Saturday I had meetings in Nauvoo but all I wanted to do was get one room painted. Well the meetings went about 2 hours longer than I thought so I didn't get back until 4, and Isaac had to be to something at 6:30 but I was determined so we still headed out and started to paint. Frustrated we didn't get very far when he got home that night (Kids were in bed) I told him I wanted to go back out, and he said "We can both go." So we hired a babysitter and had ourselves a little paint date. It was fun. And we made a little progress too.
Then Sunday I had to snap a quick picture of Teagan doling out treats. ha, my boys LOVE Teag--and he loves to help me walk them out to the car so its actually a pretty great.
Monday, back to the house. Tan loves to get to "drive" little green out there, Isaac wasn't very thrilled when he bent his key... which might beg the question why was the key in there? But that's just details. Right? Monday night the Vorkinks came an helped us, it was awesome! Most we've got done in the painting AND tearing up the floor departments for sure!. Corinne was helping paint then asked if it would be more helpful to just play with the kids--YES! She was awesome, they had a BLAST and we actually made progress! Yay!

The boys asked if they could finger paint (this was when Corinne was trying to help paint) and I agreed to it...somehow I was thinking the tip of a finger...silly me! Stinkers! Then the next night when Colt asked, I said No, but he proceeded to do it anyway (because it really doesn't matter what I say- Sooo frustrating) anyway he did use just the tip of one finger the 2nd time but he wiped his finger clean on his shirt and shorts...again, so we ruined more clothes. And as of now I have "Paint clothes" on the front seat of the van, hoping we get changed into them before it happens yet again.

Oh Tan, loves to walk to the bus stop with Cann if he's awake. Its pretty cute.
And Thursday Cannon told me while I was making his lunch that he wanted me to come eat lunch with him for his birthday (because I did last year -be careful what you start I guess right?) Anyway I figured we could pull it off so we went for it. We had to go yesterday because there was no school today-lucky kid, random day off school for your birthday! While it sounded good in the morning Cannon was actually pretty disenchanted with us being there. He really just wanted to sit with his friends. Luckily Lucas' dad came that day to, so he slid over and was happy and all the while I was wondering "Why am I here????" oh well. He also told me at 7:00 that morning that he wanted to give his classmates something for his birthday, he wanted to make them t-shirts. I started to say no and that he needed to give me more notice but then I realized...eh, we can pull it off and its 20 shirts I already have and won't have to move. Sure. Happy Birthday, he helped me and we had 10 of them down before he even went down to the bus stop. I finished the rest and took them with me when we went to eat lunch with him.
Also that evening Cannon got the side of Colts head with Isaac's electric razor (after being asked to put it away SEVERAL times) I was furious and ready to cancel his birthday completely! Instead I sent him to his room until Isaac got home and dealt with it. He came home, but deal with it? Not a word...then all of the sudden I wasn't very happy with either one of them. ...Sigh...

BUT I tried to remember what its like to be a kid and anticipate your birthday.
And hair will grow back.
And today we celebrated!

I think he had a good day. Isaac left town at noon but came by the park and bought pizza before he left. We had Cannon's buddy from school over for a long play date. (Cuz I'm lame and don't do birthday parties but seriously that was the BEST advice I every got...maybe we'll do one next year, cuz 8's a big deal, but I've stuck to my guns so far ...)

And instead of making another cake we went for cheesecake. Which he didn't even eat he was too in the zone of putting things together, but whatever, we'll have desert for when the missionaries come for dinner tomorrow.
And while I didn't write I did throw some pictures off my other camera on here earlier in the week: (I guess you can tell Mr. 7 wasn't participating in my Sunday morning photo shoot)
But that afternoon he was game. When he's cooperative, he's a lot of fun.

We went for a walk that night. Its kinda skipped spring and turned to summer on is, but its SO GOOD to see the sun, we'll take it!
Oh and I almost forgot about this. Isaac...was dead meat! This was Saturday when we slipped out to paint before his dinner thing in the evening. Well the boys were a handful and he decided he would keep them out of my hair. Well its about time to go and he comes in and cheerfully asks if he'd done a good job. I said yes and then we walked out. NO! No no no! He created a bunch more work for me and taking pictures might be the only thing that kept me from killing him. He'd had the boys all out in that nasty swamp of a swimming pool (drained so covered in all the green nastiness slime that was left) If I would have realized the water was on and we had a hose I would have took it too them--and probably him too. As was strip them down was about all I could do. And I'm still learning how to shoot in manual, so Tanner's overexposed, and you really can't see the black in his eyebrows in either picture  that is actually dark green slime--but it was there, I promise. So gross. And scrubbing them off at home in the tub was no picnic either. Sure honey-go enjoy your award banquet. (Actually I went to that with him last year and it was painfully boring so it wasn't like I wanted to be there, I just didn't want to be scrubbing green swampy slime off little boys either.)

And a few more off my cards just because I've been taking more lately...mostly of Tanner-he's my most cooperative subject at this point.

Until next week...
