I’ll tell whatever stories my camera roll jogs my memory on 😉
Oh yeah—Tan lost a tooth.
Umm, sis, you ran into a dirt clod bigger than your wheel.
Play’n telephone.
More lake fun, it’s been a big part of our summer but I probably have too many pics. I should go through and delete some.
Isaac was on one driving the tube. He might be fired. Tanner who hates it who we’ve worked so hard to get to like the lake a little bit—off in probably 5 seconds and wouldn’t get back on. Cann and Colt stayed on until he almost killed them both. They rode through a little “hop” that put them probably 4 feet in the air. But not the next one where they were 6-8 feet up! Cannon landed on the tube but it still smacked the snot out of him. And poor Colt it was one of those deals where the water feels like cement. Ug. He was crying but also was the first one willing to get back out there and do something else. He’s a lake dog.
I told Isaac if he broke his nose he’s paying for plastic surgery!
After he’d smoked all her brothers that were willing to get on the tube (Seth was the smart one and stayed off) Addi got on it with her dad. I’m a pretty mild driver—so Isaac decided to stand up-but he fell off-I should have stopped right then and pulled Addi in —I don’t know what I was thinking (except that Isaac was an idiot I was definitely thinking that, I was pretty mad) but I just told her to hold on and we went really slow back to get him…
(I don’t even remember which kid grabbed my phone for pics but they got front half back half and way distant 🤣
Anyway…it almost worked. But then we hit a few of our own bumps -and slow was probably worse- and then I had my baby in the water and my husband in the water and…let’s just say I wasn’t very happy.
When he was skiing later I was a crappy driver. Not on purpose but once you get me rattled -that’s what you’re going to get. I was just trying to find “glass” but apparently I was doing slight turns and he can’t do anything with that.
I subbed in primary last week again and I gave the kids stickers with Elder Stevensen’s quote that said “I am awesome, I am a child of God, He knows me, He loves me”
So when I said “sorry I don’t know what I’m doing! I suck at driving” Tanner said “Mom, I think you need one of our stickers from primary on the boat.” He’s a great kid with a giant heart.
Anyway Isaac did get to show off on the wake board a little this trip too. We were all impressed!
Up next:
Playing in the clay—they were out there for hours! I love it when they play outside!
But they come in and say “we played outside, now can we do tablet time??” 🤯 right now they’re hooked on farming simulator. But I usually give in for a few minutes if they’ve played outside. …hmm they should have to work!
Oh next pic- here we go
They loaded up a bunch of stuff and hauled it to the recycling place.

They loaded up a bunch of stuff and hauled it to the recycling place.
By time they got done the place was closed so they went the next day and I went to the temple. Isaac let them divide up the loot! (Which Seth wanted to give me his money to let him do tablet time—no way! I hate screens! They love them.)
Addi and I played at the park while Cann had football-I was going to sneak away myself for a while but Addster didn’t go for it and it was fine. We had fun and ran into a gal in our ward that I didn’t know yet since things have changed. But she was great.

So Wednesday I went to the temple then Isaac and I ended up supervising children and youth for Tan and Colt. We talked about goals and Pioneer Day then just let them play in the gym but I’ll tell ya what—it really made me NOT want to coach basketball again, so there’s that! We’ll see, time will tell, but if I’m dumb enough to do it again you read it here first-I knew I shouldn’t have!

Our new rope came! They like to practice getting up on the wake board!!
The cutest was Addi’s little dance/jig there in the living room where in her mind she was going in and out of the wake. I’m kicking myself for not getting a video but she’d skip and hop to the right then skip and hop over to the left then back to the right. It was awesome!
Thursday Isaac got up and headed for the temple. (Just the night before we were looking at “trips” on his phone and we definitely go to Nauvoo the most.)
But he only got to Downing and called me to rescue him cuz he’d hit a deer. Ug bummer. I woke Cann up to help me unload the fuel tanks off the trailer. We should’ve used the skid steer but I’m a rookie and it was 6:00AM so Mr teenager wasn’t exactly on his A game either. For the second one I did back the truck up, (duh) then the power pole wasn’t in the way any more and we just pushed it off into the bucket (significantly easier than round one)

I also figured out at least one reason Isaac (who watches YouTube ALL the time and “wants” to do a YouTube channel never films anything. But Who wants to touch your phone with hands like that? Mine were filthy and at some point I gave up on washing or wiping them off.
Anyway “back a trailer” has been on my goal board for years. And Cann was awesome helping me because pulling around the house wasn’t and option. There was just no way—but Cannon for the win, we got’r done, and I headed off to get Isaac and he headed back in the house to tend when the younger kids woke up. Thank you paw patrol!

Anyway not quite the date we would have picked but I got him and we made it home and he spent all day calling salvage yards and looking for parts. When we were driving back he said the insurance would total it and I was like “what? We only carry liability” and he said “oh I mean if we did have insurance on it they would total it but I think I can fix it for a good price.”
Of course.
He doesn’t even like that car, but he likes it more than the thought of buying a new one, so I guess time will tell.
We invited friends over to play today (it turns out we were grateful they couldn’t come yesterday) but we’ve just been fighting that swamp of pool trying to kill all that crud and get it to drop to the bottom so we can vacuum it out but last night I went out to throw some chemical in it and I knew there were wasps out there the kids (play in the pool green or not they don’t care) but they’d been shooting at them with squirt guns and spraying them with spray but I forgot all about them and was walking around the edge—right by their nest—and got stung right on the lip!
🤬
Holy cow-it was awful!!! And I had a swollen lip that dwarfed anything Botox could do!
It hurt like the devil!
And you can see I didn’t get enough chemical in it.
And you can see I didn’t get enough chemical in it.
Actually it had dropped a lot to the bottom because it was blue until they got in and stirred it all up.
Maybe tomorrow we can vacuum it???

By we I mean Isaac and the kids. 😬

They don’t care.
We had fun with the Meechem’s today though, and tonight Isaac and Cannon, along with picking up a hood for the car in KC hit the Cubs Royals game. I told Cannon the cubs should be called the “Lost by One’s” because they lose a ton of one run games, but tonight it was worse, they got smoked 6-0. But these guys did weasel their way down to the diamond club seats!
Cannon really wanted me to go to the game with him because I’m “more of a Cubs fan” than Isaac, but I said “look, you’ll have more fun with dad, I’m never going to move down!” So hopefully he had fun, look at that cushioned seat.
I don’t know if he was able to sell them or not but Isaac had actually bought tickets for tomorrow night but once he found the hood down there and they weren’t open on Saturday he decided they better go today. (But not before spending about 3 hours on the phone yesterday trying to work something out to get them to just set it out or deliver it to a dock across the street or…or…or…) it was crazy!
Anyway I think that’s about it!
