I've reworked this post a million times so what the heck, I'm just posting it.
I don't want to say too much. I love the blog but sometimes the thought of anyone being able to log on and read my thoughts/feelings makes me want to puke. Oh well. I guess we're going to Mississippi. Isaac is really excited, I wonder if I've ever seen him so happy....and I think that he truly believes he's doing what's best for our family. I'm trying to be supportive (but really pretty sad.)  Isaac's good to say we'll come back here but really I would probably like to have it signed in blood.
I'm kind of numb. So numb in fact I shouldn't admit it but I ran into a pole in the truck and put a big ole scrape/dent down the side of it and I didn't even notice until 5 minutes later when I saw it in the rear view mirror. Good thing we don't drive fancy vehicles, its bad, I need to be careful whether I FEEL or not.
I asked him when he got home late after cows (helping my dad) goats and bees if maybe he could not have quiet so many projects when we live in Mississippi. Pretty sure I got some lecture on how its the busy season and a comparison to basketball for me, oh and why don't I see if I can coach at Jackson State. So pretty much, No, he's not interested in scaling back his projects. We also got some potentially bad news about my Grama's health. I'm tell'n ya, its been quite a week.
Anyway, all of that aside we have a lot to post (and with Mississippi pending you can pretty much plan on picture overload forEVER) We had the first annual Ison family camping trip and I admit it was pretty dang fun, we went out by Coral Pink Sand Dunes and Cann Mann was in HEAVEN! He LOVED it. The world was his sandbox, could anything be better than that? We borrowed my parents Rhino and Isaac brought his motorcycle, Cannon would hardly let go of his shovel both my boys were so happy, I do love seeing that.

The first pic is a little break we took on the way out (we weren't lost but we were just making sure we weren't) Then Cannon loved the fire and loved helping unload. We took the play pen but it didn't last long. I froze but Cannon seemed fine (I dressed him in warmer PJs) and Isaac (a bit of a covers hog) did too
I totally vetoed climbing up the steep rocks...see how we came down instead. Oh brother. The Rhino was just another car seat to Cannon.  When he was awake he was pretty skeptical, he had a very sober expression. See he does have some of me in him!!
It was so fun, Isaac wanted to go back this weekend. I might have agreed to it on account of him probably moving Goats on Fathers Day weekend, and if we could please get dinner on the way out of town instead of finally getting to our tin foil dinners at 11:00 at night. Its looking like there are other things to do though.
We picked up some more liquid Nitrogen and made ice cream with the Stouts Sunday night. Bubba was having all kind of fun with the "Doer" before church. When we finally got to it, Isaac was like Bill Nye the Science guy. We had a good time.

The rest of the pics are just more fun :) He dug out his cowboy boots from the hand me down pile, they are still way to big, we had a good time going to feed with Grampa, Cann Man was driving everything, and of course the hose is always a blast! He was pretty proud of getting himself a drink.

Monday we celebrated memorial day with Matt Nichole and Lilah, we had delicious breakfast (maybe brunch) burritos and then headed for the splash pad. It was really fun.
We had basketball this week, Cannon was a champ! It was fun to be back at it, he sat on my lap for 5 of the 6 games, he was whiny if I tried to do anything else with him and he had a little runny nose, then the next day I was tickling and teasing him and I saw a big ole swollen black and blue gum with a little tooth poking through! He's such a good boy! He's been work'n on some teeth for a while I hope they'll get the rest of the way here and give him a break for a while. He was good the next day to and got to hang out and play with Becky.
Lately Cannon always likes to have a utensil when he eats, he's very effective with it--at making a mess. He's chattering more a like always a huge helper. I took this picture then decided it wasn't good enough so I took a little video too. They are putting together screens for the bees. I asked Isaac what he'll do with his bees if we move to MS and he said "give them to Burton and hope they've expanded by 20 times by time we get back" I just liked and hung on to the coming back part of it.

The hay loader is broken and my Uncle that is going to fix it is out of town so Isaac became the hay loader. So much work for him, he's so nice to help. Bubba and I drove for him. I loved that you can see that the windshield wipers are on in the one pic. The kid is a wild man, he's all over the place and has everything going! And of course grampa came to check on us. He calls Cannon "Professor" even that makes me cry with what's ahead! And all of the sudden some of my favorite pictures are the ones with the red mountain in them...

Clearing the hay field was a couple evening project.  We also snagged Ann one morning and went to the splash pad. Hmm another picture that makes me cry. Seriously I'm such a baby!!!! There is really so much I could write about but I think I better just wait and see what happens. Come what may and love it...I'm trying!

The biggest (current that is) Stress of my life!

Its Isaac acceptance letter. I know its tiny but if you can read it you might notice it came (via email-snail mail it still wouldn't be here) May 30th and they need to know if we're coming by June 5. Thanks for the 6 days.  My emotions are all over the place, ok that's a lie, my thoughts are all over the place, my emotions are in the tank! It would probably be good for me if I could sort out how I think/feel about it maybe that will have will have to be a separate post-or blog for that matter.
Isaac's biggest concern is if jobs will be there when he's done. My biggest concern is leaving-and all that it entails. SUCK!!!~  And a really close 2nd is the financial side of things. Really Isaac's checking on a few things but I think we're probably going....and all that entails...
(Isaac might think I bawl so much that I'm trying to make the Santa Clara River the Mississippi River! Its  hard on him how sad it makes me, he doesn't get it.)

This last weekend was the big solar eclipse, so Isaac's Uncle Coy orchestrated a little Ison family reunion here in town. It was fun. Saturday we met Levi Jacob and Tyler and some of their friends up at the crack on the Dixie rock.
Isaac decided it would be pretty fun to get some liquid nitrogen from work and make some ice cream with it for the eclipse viewing celebration. So we brewed up a batch at home Saturday night then went for it Sunday! It was a hit!

After a fun weekend it really has been a pretty long week. But I guess I better learn to go with Elder Wirthlin's philosophy and "Come what may and love it" time will tell.

Taking pictures of Cannon and documenting things he does so I will be able to remember them really brings me so much joy so the next few pics (and really this whole blog) are just that!
My little old man. Isaac HATES blue shirts with blue jeans (its like an old person thing to him) and I didn't even realize I'd done it until way later, It was just one of those deals where I had his shirt on, was going to put his swimming suit on but decided not to and just grabbed some jean shorts. Maybe I need to get rid of these ones, look how much they are high riding and they stick out funny in front AND back. Anyway the pic just made me laugh, Cannon looks like the old man supervisor while TyTy is digging in the dirt. Then we have some sport confusion, baseballs are just easy to dunk.
Trying to help me do a little indexing, we just don't get to the temple near as often so I was trying to jump in on that 1940 census... I got some help.  Then the next pic just brightened my day so much and it was just one of those times when I needed a smile so bad. THANKS CANN. This week he's really starting to walk better 10-12 steps instead of 3-4. Anyway he toddled to me from clear in our bedroom where he'd been playing in Isaac's underwear drawer, so proud of himself for putting Isaac's jock strap over his head. It was hilarious! I was so glad I had my camera in my pocket! The flash took forever to charge and he just stood there smiling/posing while we waited.

He's just so fun! (Hopefully I don't get in trouble for posting that) Today I thought I was so smart taking Cannon out to the garden in his jamas-one less outfit change and I'll wash his jamas anyway-it was good in theory but it turned out to be an extra bath (torture) oh well. He was playing away so cute I wanted the camera, so I headed in the house and while I was gone I lost 1 (maybe 2) watermelon plants. Bummer. I should have known, I'd been out there pulling weeds and he just watches so closely-then helps!

So Much Fun in Huntington

Truth: We do not go to Huntington enough!
We spent the weekend and Monday with Grandma and Grandpa Ison and it was a blast. Getting out of town-a bit of a nightmare- Isaac and I have such different ideas of "leaving after work" but he had projects that needed to be done so we didn't roll in until the middle of the night... but once we woke up in Huntington the fun was on! Aaron and Tarra were there with their 2 dogs, Cannon boy was one happy kid! Too bad they don't live closer, they could have come to the dog party. Bryan was there too and he was totally fun and cute to play with Cannon. Mothers day was a good day, Uncle Shawn called so we got to talk to him, we toured the town of Huntington together on a walk, it was pretty fun, and then we went out to the wedge, and little Grand Canyon. (It really was a shame that I've known Isaac as long as I have and hadn't been out on the desert yet, so we fixed that, we'll definitely have to go back)

Staying an extra day made for a short week that was fun. We caught up with Matt & Nichole & Lilah one night. It was pretty fun and Lilah and Cannon play so cute together. We worked on our 72 hour kits too, I'm trying pretty hard on this preparedness thing, well at least trying to be better.

Saturday Fun
Cannon's new excavator was "obviously not designed by anyone that's ever ran one" so he had to take to filling the bucket with his garden shovel.
Playing in the dirt on such a pretty Saturday was not adequate, its heating up around here-we had to add water.  He watered the corn and look at just how clean he stayed. These two crazy guys of mine are trying to teach me that the fun is worth the mess.
No worries on the toy excavator being inadequate...we just went and ran the "Mini", and even mom had to get in on the fun. (I'm less than smooth but I did drive it and tried to work the bucket briefly-and I missed the orange shirt memo)

We had a few things planned for Saturday that didn't happen and Isaac just about didn't know what to do with himself without a project (he'd already fixed the tiller and mowed the lawn) so he decided to put in a cattle guard on some property my grampa owns. (That's why we were driving the Mini. He's so nice and helpful to my family.
Cannon finally did have a piece of birthday cake-and he's been all about his little balloon, ate with it, had a nap with it. I think he's just milk'n this birthday thing :)
No worries, after I got the picture I pried the balloon out of his little hand-cute as it was it had a little too much danger potential for even me.
This is a view I saw a ton of and it just cracked me up, his little diaper hang'n out of his sagg'n pants. Totally his dad's kid!

Drumming away (and eating a little bit) at the restaurant-oh yeah we were "those people" with "that kid" and it was totally worth it. He was having a blast and I really only saw onlookers smile so I didn't worry too much.

"I live for little moments like this!"

Happy Birthday Cannon

Our little Cann Man is 1!!! HOLY COW. I took TONS of pics, so then I had to go a little collage happy. And a few I had to post full size too- its all about remembering a great day.  The day started and ended playing with his dad, what could better than that? Well maybe playing at dad's work while mom and Grama went to Costco, that was pretty cool too.
We had Hot Dogs at the Dog Park and it was pretty fun!
Play'n the park.

Cannon liked the candle (I confess we practiced) but the wind got it for him. But when it came to cake and ice cream Cannon left that to the rest of us and was as happy as he could be eating ice we'd dumped out of the cooler. Silly kid.
Last year on May 4th we took our first family pics :) So we tried and tried for an update. It was fun even if none of them turned out great.

I guess this is what Cannon thought of all though pics...really I think he was playing (as in spitting) with Jed.
His birthday was definitely the highlight of our week-to be expected since he is the highlight of our lives! But we had a good week. We made some strawberry jam. We made (dog) cookies for the party.  We shared a Popsicle and of course Cannon helped work on the tiller.

That might be it, maybe not but this post is getting really long, I should just start a new one. Cannon's been saying "Mmmm" a lot when he likes something, wants something, or wants someone else to like something. He's also been growling a lot. I'm not sure where he got it, not from Isaac, I hope not me, if I growl I didn't know it...hmm might have to blame Ann.
Oh and Isaac sold his mixer trailers.
